See, here's the thing: anytime a person buys a car, and especially a female, they just don't want to drive off with a piece of junk that dies 500 yards away from the lot. Too bad that's such a sweet sentiment with no place in the real world of used car lots. Unfortunately for me, the car I purchased was only the second one I'd viewed and test-driven but my father, the guy I thought knew more than I did when it came to cars and their mechanics, convinced me it was "the one", ya know like if this was my future husband he'd be plain, a little beat up, old, poor, and about to die. (Quite the catch, right?) This is where I utter a rather inappropriate, although appropriate, expletive like F%*K. But hey, Brandon (the owner and chief salesperson) told me he'd give me a deal. We quibbled about the price for all of one minute (I got him to drop it 500 dollars, but I'm sure he made an easy $1,500 off of the transaction) and I drove off with my new (er, used) merchandise and not a "yippee" hand pump in sight. Not pleased with my new piece of mechanics but when you don't have much money to spend on a set of wheels, you settle for what you can get (isn't that just typical?). So somewhat content for all of a week and a few days until I had to fill the gas tank annnnnddddd the car didn't start. SERIOUSLY. I sat in the gas station for a minute and a half turning the key in the ignition trying to get the damn thing to start. It did but grudgingly. And I drove off hoping it was a one-time mishap (only sort of hoping, I knew it wasn't so I just had to wait until the next tankful of gas to test it again). Then, it happened again. Fill the tank full of gas and the damn thing doesn't start. OMG, I'm that girl from the ridiculous movie where she's screwed over and the snake salesman snicker with audience at her stupidity. F$*K. Not only that, but the "Cruise control" didn't work since day one, so there's the second tally on the WTH list. Oh wait, I'm not done. Third, my key FOB doesn't work and it'll cost $250 to get a new one. Thanks so F%$*#@G much. So what do I do, but bring it back to the dealer and plead my case? Brandon got riled up like a humiliated child and accused me of accusing him of knowingly selling me a car with a defect and blah blah blah. Long discussion short, I had my legal jargon all in a row and he knew it. After all, his associate sales guy told me that Brandon knew about the problem with my car and advised me to just "leave the car running when filling it with gas". Right. There's a reason that signs around the gas station say "Turn off Engine." Duh. And since he clearly didn't divulge the defect of the engine, it leads me to believe that he doesn't exactly check over his cars before he sells them, which is ILLEGAL. My advice? DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM KING'S AUTO OUTLET. DON'T. DON'T. DON'T. (Bold, italicized, underlined and the whole schebang.) *6 month later update: My car engine DIED. As in, the very engine broke to pieces and, if it was the rib cage of the person bursting forth with gory violence, you'd understand how incredibly HORRIFYING that experience was. SIX MONTHS. 6 MONTHS and my piece of shit car was DEAD. Thank you, King's Auto Outlet, thank you. If I was a truly aggressive person, I would have left that broken engine on the front porch with a nice red bow. (Unfortunately, that would just be a little too extreme. Problem #1. Bought my 16 year old son his first car here. Within a matter of 3 hours the check engine light came on. Had it scanned at Auto Zone only to find out some of the spark plugs weren't firing correctly. Had to but a new coil,$79.99,and had to install it myself because Kings Auto Outlet was closed. Problem #2. The drivers side rear light was out. Not a big deal but you would expect for the lights in the vehicle to work. Problem #3. Noticed that the truck was running really hot. Which led us to find out why. Turns out that the radiator had been pushed back so far it wasn't even in the right spot. The lower radiator hose was crimped so bad,due to the radiator being pushed back so far,that antifreeze couldn't pass through it. Problem #4. Decided to take it back for Kings Auto Outlet to fix It. The so called "90 day" warranty is crap. It doesn't cover anything. Only thing he said was he can get us in a week from now to have his mechanic look at it. I would be charged labor and parts. Problem #5. The oil was a quart low. I would like to know how my sons vehicle passed the inspection. Jeremy Venters is the rudest person I have come across. He yelled at me and refused to work with me in fixing the problems. I will never buy from him again. He sells vehicles that have problems and knows about it. After many years of buying cars, I can tell you the full range of good to bad stories, but my experience with Jeremy and King's Auto Outlet definitely was on the good end of the spectrum. Due to a bad divorce, my credit had been severely damaged and my numerous attempts over a period of months to purchase a car had all gone very bad until I walked in to this store. After filling a fairly easy application and heading next door for a super burrito I received a call from Jeremy that my application had been approved! Immediately I expected to return and find the approval was going depend on me giving them my arm, leg, and first born but that was fortunately not the case. I returned to find the car I wanted was mine at a fair price, an affordable payment that fit my budget and finally the opportunity I needed to begin to rebuild my credit. If there was a ZERO score for this company that is what I would l give them!!! SERIOUSLY!! I bought a 2001 Subaru Outback and was told (by Jeremy) about how well King's Auto checks out their vehicles before selling them and that if that was not enough confidence they also were going to give me a 30,000/3 mo warranty. I left the lot (with my gas light on a block later...not a biggie but really they could have put enough gas in the car for someone to get home). Next day...LESS than 24 HOURS later the car overheated...I had to tow it back from Kyburz to Gardnerville...NOT PLEASED! The dealership is closed on Sundays so I had to wait until Monday to have it towed from my house to Kings Auto. They had the car for 4 1/2 days....they had their mechanic replace the thermostat..that did not fix the problem...so then replaced the radiator...still not fixed...so then they replaced the head gasket. Since the engine was already opened I opted at my own cost to have the timing belt, water pump and pullys replaced. So I dumped another $300 into the vehicle within days of purchase. I got the car back.....AND...surpise!....less than 24 HOURS later...check engine light is back on AGAIN....and now it is leaking transmission fluid....and smoking. You would think if a capable mechanic was just under the car working on it he/she would have noticed a transmission leak. Kings auto is refusing to do any further work and feels OK with selling a mom with three young children a car that breaks down consistently...great! And as a sub-note....their lending practices are something to be noted. They did not go with the original lender on my contract but opted to sell the loan to private company. They let me know this and gave me the business card of the new leinholder. the leinholder's business card had a handwritten change to the phone number on it (shady) and they also to me that the lender does not send out invoices...just mail them a check to the address on the card and then I will get email receipts each month. Seemed really strange to me so I did some investigating. According to to the Secretary of the State the leinholder does NOT have a business license. NOT GOOD! This is the company I am supposed to trust mailing payments to and to at the end of my payment period get my title from??!! Went back to kings Auto to talk about the newest car problems and the leinholder issue....and THEY DON'T CARE...not only that they told me to leave. BEWARE ****** DO NOT BUY ***** BEWARE I purchased a Subaru from Brandon on 8/16. After leaving the car there for a week to get the air conditioner fixed, I returned to find out NOTHING had been done. Although it's only been ten days, it would take me an hour to write in detail my unfortunate experience with these incompetent individuals over the last ten days. in the end, my purchased vehicle will cost me $3300.00 to repair after giving Brandon $7000.00 in cash for it. These people will rip you off and not give it a second thought. I will keep it to simple facts: 1) No, they do not inspect the vehicles prior to sale. Regardless of what they say. 2) Both Jeremy and Brandon (owner) will lie and or say anything, whatever it takes, to make the sale and make the consumer think they can be trusted. 3) The warranty they offer is not worth the paper its written on. If one takes the time to go through all the legalese in the contract, it is worthless and of course they will not tell you that you PAY for the coverage that you really need (i.e.. seals and gaskets}. So much for the FREE warranty. 4) They will not return phone calls and when you talk to them in person, its all snake oil and double talk. There is not a shred of honesty or integrity in these individuals. It is amazing to me that these individuals can look at themselves in the mirror after ripping people off day after day. Interestingly enough, Brandon will accept money under false pretenses and lie to your face while sitting behind his family pictures, incredible. I have made a formal complaint with the Secretary of State and would also complain to the Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau except that of course, they are not members. No surprise there huh? Do yourself a favor, avoid these people at all costs. MMK Enterprises, the business license holder for Kings Auto Outlet is owned by Miranda King of Gardnerville Nevada. I wonder if she truly understands what her underlings do every day to the unsuspecting public. How would she sleep at night? Kings Auto came highly recommended by a friend of mine, but my personal experience was terrible. After purchasing our vehicle, and being told it was cleared by their mechanic, and running perfectly, we decided to take it in for a diagnostics test and a quick once over, just to make sure. The mechanic found a laundry list of issues, and said that there was no way they weren't aware of this when they sold it to us. -When we went in to let the owners of the dealership know what we had been told, they became very angry, and told us it wasn't their problem. The woman began to yell at us in front of our son, at which point we got up and walked out. This dealership appears to run very unethically, and does not care to work with their clients after the sale is final. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

Already....the engine is done. There is rod knock that makes the worst banging noise. Some mornings the car wont even start with a push or a jump. They fixed nothing on this car and sold it to the first person intrested. Sunroof broken etc. Multiple issues. I have been debating on writing this review. When I first went to this dealership they were nice! They sold us a Chrysler Aspen that was cute and we were told the mechanic checked everything out and it was all good to go! Test drive, signed paperwork and put $1700 down with $800 to be paid more in 2 weeks. We drove off the lot and went home, the next morning I drove to work from Dayton to Sparks. The car shook really bad at 55mph and up. Took it to Les Schwab and they told me 3 of the 4 rims were bent but 2 were bad! So the next day I took back to dealership and they had me take to Unique Sounds to see if they could balance the ties so it would shake less! On my way to work the TPMS light kept flashing so I got freaked out and stopped at Tires Plus Reno. They told me the tire stem was broken and rims were bent. When I got out of work that tire was flat to the rim. Next day they put a spare on for over a week I drove on it. They said they took the rim that was messed up and had it checked and it wasn't bent. I had paperwork from 2 shops saying the opposite. They had Unique Sounds put a different tire on the same rim that was bent. They told me was not bent! Drove it and the shaking was worse. I waited 2 weeks to see if they would say anything when we told them it was doing the same thing. No response! I went in the day the 30 days was up and the wife, Miranda was such a rude person to me! I told her that I found another set of used rims for $800 and her exact words "We are done helping you!" I was pretty stuck and didn't know what to do so I gave a check for the rest of the down payment and asked her to hold it for 3 days because I just didn't know what to do! I found another car and did a stop payment. Regardless they still have my $1700 I put down and I just hired an attorney for $1500. For me it isn't about the money it is about how they treat you and the whole crookedness they have going on. I reported to Better Business Bureau and will be seeing them in court! This is just so sad! They are crooks and I don't think there is any other nice way to put it! It is more sad than anything! Do NOT buy a car from here! You have to wait 2 months to get your title and when you get it, its in a totally different name. BE AWARE people. I bought my truck from this lot. It runs great but when I got it, I immediately had to replace the brakes. Then within a week, my power window quit working on my passenger side. I spoke with Brandon, the owner, and he said he would buy the part if I had it diagnosed. I had it diagnosed and it was misdiagnosed and Brandon bought the part like he said he would. The part did not fix the issue and I was told by Brandon to go back to my mechanic and complain. He also told me to let him know so if he had to, he would have his mechanic look at it. My mechanic could not fix the issue so I did what I was told and called Brandon back. He told me he was stuck with the part and he could not return it. Then I was lectured that I should have went to a dealer and had it diagnosed. He told me he would talk to his mechanic and then he would call me back. As of today, I still haven't heard back from him so I am done and I give up. I guess the bottom line is I am a little sad because I am on disability and I can not afford a lot of money on car repairs. I have already spent $750.00 in repairs and now it looks like I am stuck getting this issue fixed now. I just wanted to believe he was a real human being and all I got was a salesman. King's Auto Outlet in Carson City provided the best experience I ever had buying a used car. Buying a used car is always a gamble no matter what you do. However this business provides a 3 month/3000 mile warranty as part of the sale on many cars. There were a couple minor problems which the owner promised to fix and he kept his word. Bearing in mind that any business needs to make a profit I got a very good price on a nice looking SUV. After about 300 miles it still runs great. read more

I had cash in hand and Brandon the owner sent me to their other location on 395-Carson street across from Dutch Brothers and i found an 03 Yukon and took it for a test drive when the test drive was over i went in to talk to the guy in the office he informed me that he just sold it while i was on my test drive.Very poor business practice!! So two days later i drive by and its still sitting there for sale. They are liars now it's five days later and still sitting there. So i went to BUDGET AUTO SALES ON HWY 50 and found an 08 Expedition five years newer low mileage near new condition for 3k less than the Yukon i highly recommend BUDGET AUTO SALES!... The car salesmen are very laid back but very willing to work with you. I am a female just like the bad review but unlike her I got an inspection. You need to understand that buying used there will almost always be things that need to be fixed. I needed 1 new tie rod, back brakes only because one caliper was sticking, so of course the back calipers and shocks. Also hood shocks. Brandon (the owner) had already put a new(used) windshield, new tires, and an oil change. I noticed during the test drive a small oil leak so he sent it in to be checked out. He had the oil pan replaced and two small leaks fixed as well as a radiator flush. I feel that he went over and above in what he did for me as well as all the office staff being very personable. I would recommend them to anyone as well as getting an inspection done. My boyfriend bought a truck from them the same day and loves, loves, loves it and all he did was replace the tires (which didn't quite need them yet) and get the brakes fixed. He has an issue with a window but Brandon is replacing that for free. I definitely would buy from them again. You should go check them out. read more

so unlike the last post I just read, in fact Quite the contrary, Brandon at Kings Auto is a great guy. He is not pushy in one little bit, he does have all his vehicles checked out and if there is a problem off the bat and you bring it to his attention he will get it fixed. Kings auto also provides you with a 3 month warranty which most used car lots do not provide. I had gone to at least 4 used car lots and 3 new car lots and no one made me feel like I was a person until I went to Kings. I bought a GMC Denali from them and it is the best. Like all used things, you will run into some issues and must keep up on your vehicle. You dont go to a thrift store and buy a pair of pants for a $1 and expect them to be the best pants you ever bought, but when you purchase a used car from Brandon he will do his best to make it worth your wild. In fact 2 days after I bought my GMC from Brandon, I sent my daughter to purchase a car from him. This is her first car and so far so good. i will defiantly go back to kings auto when I need to buy my 2nd car.
