Customer service is long gone. The deli staff turn their backs on you wanting you to choose from the their pre cut selection. There is literally one check out land with an actual cashier open leaving you no other choice but to go through self check out with a cart full of food. I had to call the "attendant" four times because you know what, I DO NOT WORK HERE and self check out is a bunch of nonsense. Done! We have been Kings customers since they opened up, but yesterday had the worst customer service experience. Apparently they have a new policy where they ID both people in line when purchasing alcohol. My husband and I are nowhere near our 20s, and he didn't have his ID on him for the 12 pack we were picking up. It wasn't so much the policy, which is absurd, what if people have their underage children with them? NO beer for them? Seems ridiculous. It was the way the snarky front end manager acted about it. She was rude. When I said he'd leave and I'd go through another lane, she grabbed the 12 pack and said it didn't work that way. We're in our 50s, pretty sure it was going to be ok. Point being we have other options, more being built as we speak. The policy needs to be reevaluated and maybe explained to customers who are obviously confused as to why it is being implemented on people who are well above the legal age to purchase beer. Bottom line we walked next door to the liquor store, and bought it no problem, they lost a sale, and possibly reliable customers. read more

We've been King Soopers customers since 1979 but the Firestone Kings is by far the worst managed King Soopers we've been to. They are continually out of stock on sale items and with digital coupons, you're SOL ($hit outta luck) as I found out today. Went to use my digital coupon (last day) and they were out of propane. I asked what can I do about the coupon? When I told the rather snarky desk person that it was digital she said there was nothing they could do. In the past, they have been out of a lot of digital coupon items so it seems to be a common occurrence. Lots of items that other KS stores carry but they don't. We really like the pharmacy staff and generally the staff is quite helpful, but lately.... not so much. Not a big fan of Safeway but I think I need to change for awhile. Maybe the Firestone KS will get new management. read more

Do you want to pay for your groceries twice? They double charge pick up orders when there is a change. Your order may be $116, but they don't have the chips you ordered, so I drops to $106. They will charge you twice, and one of the charges drops off in a few days, according to Manny. F THAT NOISE. I don't have that kind of buffer to be loaning a multi billion dollar company $100 for a few days. I tried the live chat, the 800 number, email and no help, at all. The worst experience ever. I see a lot of negative reviews here, however, I had a great experience at the pharmacy today! Normally, when I switch my prescriptions from one KS to another; it's a nightmare! Not today. The lady said the transfer would take about 30 mins (last time it took weeks) and I thought "yeah right!" However , Within 15 mins I received a text saying your prescriptions are ready! But I'm switching to Safeway because I'm so sick of hearing over and over that damn recording at Kings about the Covid booster. So sick of having the lie crammed down our throats about its effectiveness. Wanna ask the President and millions of people who have had the Covid and shots and are still getting sick. Wake Up Folks!! Absolutely horrible! What good is fresh produce and other goods when you can't get them? NEVER do they have enough OR ANY checkouts open. I went today, only 3 self checkouts open at 7AM - 2 of which were being repaired at the time and the one being used by a customer fumbling with an over flowing cart. Not ONE SINGLE EMPLOYEE notices, some 4 feet away! - all staring at phones or into space anticipating their next fix.... People backed up waiting to pay looking at each other like were all just stupid cattle. I dropped what I had on the floor and walked out. This is like the 10th time! NEVER AGAIN! I'll gladly WALK 5 miles away from that place just for mere convenience in exiting once I've finished shopping. Avoid the Firestone location to avoid the frustration. We won't even mention working there - that's a whole can of worms in itself! The entire store, staff and patrons have gone mad! People can't see you and slam into you everywhere you go. Conversations take place right in the entry to the store "ALL PHONES OUT" Staring.... - I relate to the battle wounded gal! Very rude people now in the area at this location. Let's make the store BIGGER and then slow down the checkout process. It's PURE madness. It'll never fix itself until management is run out. You can purchase potatoes with higher IQ's. (Some resemble potatoes) If you enjoy waiting much longer to get out of the store than it took you to get in, this is your place :) No wonder people go insane and do stupid things! I apologize in advance for the long review, but this was one helluva bad experience. The service desk employees, Brit and Maddie, are quite possibly the most disrespectful people I've ever had to deal with anywhere. Yesterday, my credit card fell out onto the ground outside the gas station. The minute I realized I didn't have it, I was on the highway and couldn't turn around. I had the lady at the gas kiosk look for my card and she found it and said she would give it to the service desk so I could pick it up the next day. I went to get it today and Brit went into the back to look for it. She sat back there for 20 minutes just to tell me "sorry, its not back there." I told her that the lady at the kiosk told me it was so I need this figured out as this is my CREDIT CARD.. Not just a little charm on a bracelet. She kept saying "I don't know what to tell you. Its not here." I told her to please call the gas kiosk lady. And she rolled her eyes and eventually did it. On top of that when she asked the other girl, Maddie, to help look this girl started to complain about how much this is SUCH an inconvenience to her. Right in front of me. She also huffed and puffed and slammed drawers and made this such a big deal to HER even though it was in no way busy. Im so sorry your inability to find a simple thing was such an inconvenience to YOU. After about 45 minutes they looked in the back one more time and lo and behold! My card was right there! Amazing! You know, I work in customer service too, and it's part of the job to service people needing help. I'm so sorry that me, a consistent King Soopers customer needing help, was such a detriment to your day, Brit and Maddie. To be noted: I said please and thank you and even "I'm sorry" throughout this whole interaction. I am not a rude person, in fact, I don't typically make reviews like this. Every single time I go to king soopers ( doesn't matter which one, this one is just the closest to me) it's insane! No where to park so damn busy can't even look for anything because a bazillion people are smashed in every aisle. Everyone is rude in a hurry. I am not kidding, every time I leave a king soopers I swear I have battle wounds. I'm always getting hit with carts, pushed or shoved. It blows my mind. This is one of the absolute worst stores for employees that I have seen yet! There is so much favoritism. When an employee needs time off for an emergency Drs. appointment and the one day that they can get in for the next three months happens to be on a day when they are working they can't get 3 hours off to go! They had to cancel their appointment because work won't let them go! This person has been in agonizing pain for two months and has been calling and calling to see a Dr. but because of insurance has not been able to get in. But it's ok for other employees to wonder around for their whole shift. Never to be found to help out where they are supposed to be. Leave early whenever they want to. Leave all the work for others to do. Then others get blamed the next day for things not being done right! What about being overwhelmed because that's a lot of bs to be left with. Not to mention the anxiety that it causes knowing that it's never good enough and someone is going to come in and find something to yell at you about. Then to top it all off come in to work and the person that screws off all the time (that management knows about) get an award for the work that they aren't even doing!! I've been in there at night all cashiers and caddy's standing around one check stand talking. Never said anything to me. Used the restroom it was disgusting. I was shocked. That was around 9: None of this is going to do any good. It won't change anything. This is how King Soopers is. When someone says they are sick or they need to go to the Dr. you should not have to give your whole background. It should be plain and simple no questions asked! Management is there for a reason do your job. Pick up the slack for a few hours. Discipline the RIGHT people. Praise the right people. read more

King Sooper's is a mecca of almost everything essential to your household. Meds, TP, makeup, school supplies, and of course food. They have a good selection of organic and natural foods, along with a great assortment of food bars and shakes. Produce is always fresh and there's always a deal on something. Best of all the deli rocks. Yes, you can find a lot of the same items at the deli counter at other locations, but this Soopers deli is 10x better. Items marked Chef prepared are put together by the chef herself. My favs are the Mexican chicken and the Asian chicken. I don't know what Vicki does, but they're almost addictive. read more

I 100% choose a grocery store by the produce options...and in the Firestone/Frederick/Dacono area King Soopers is far superior. The Safeway nearby has an ABSOLUTELY ABHORRENT selection of fresh produce. It's often wilted or verging on rotting in the store. Oh, noooo. Thanks. We've struggled a bit as of late with this King Soopers doing a good job stocking quality meats - namely chicken. They're either out or have 0 selection for the organic/cage free/responsibly raised poultry options. Otherwise, they offer quite a few local goods which I'm very pleased with and they ALWAYS have lots of lanes open...not to mention that their self-checkout is always open. This store has gone SOOO downhill, one basically gets treated like the scum of the Earth for shopping here! Honestly, it's pathetic how bad the customer service at this store has gotten. My family and I have shopped at this store since it first opened, day one; we live five minutes away. And you know what? WE'D RATHER DRIVE EXTRA TO SHOP AT A DIFFERENT STORE THAN BE TREATED LIKE THIS! I've worked at this store twice and have earned two 100% secret shops; if I ever got caught treating anybody the way they treat people, I would have gotten fired, and to be quite honest, I'd feel terrible about myself. Every time we go into the store, it's always something. I don't know if the company no longer trains the courtesy clerks, or they just don't care, but I've gotten to the point where I bag my own groceries because they bag it SO TERRIBLY, I feel like I wasted money when I get home and find my things ruined because of them. The cashiers are little better too! They're always talking about inappropriate things and flirting with other employees when they should be greeting and trying to make the customer feel welcome! You know the last time I felt welcome in this store? I can't remember! You walk past people, nobody is smiling, they have headphones in, THEY'RE LITERALLY DOING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO IGNORE YOU! Customer's might as well be ghosts. Honestly, I hate asking any of the employees for anything because it's always such a hassle to help me; "I apologize for paying your paychecks." So last night, my mom and I were shopping, and it was just before 10PM; yes, I understand that it's late, and the store might be a little understaffed, and the lanes close at a certain time and go to self-checkout, unless there's a cart full, which has been a problem the last few times we have come to the store. We asked politely for them to open a lane and got a poor whiny excuse as to why the cashier couldn't; that she was all alone up there. THERE WERE LITERALLY FIVE OTHER EMPLOYEES STANDING THERE, and one even ignored my mom when she made eye contact, and literally WALKED AWAY. We had so many items, that self-checkout had to stop us, several times and I couldn't help but be reminded of how AWFUL this store has been lately. We will not be returning; we'd rather give our business to other FRIENDLIER places. I sent this directly to King Soopers and never got a response. The only reason they're getting one star is because I have to in order to leave a review. Such a disappointment; nobody is willing to own up to their mistakes anymore! read more

I wish I could leave a minus 1 star review. I arrived at king Soopers at 7:55 pm and the manager was already locking the doors as each customer exited. "We're closed guys" was all she said. I said, "closing a little early aren't you?" which was met with a blank stare as she locked the doors. What a LOSER. Let me school you, lady. Next time maybe ask me what I need. I only wanted one thing and it was thirty feet from the door. I will be contacting your supervisor in the morning and maybe they can teach you some customer service skills. I disagree that WFs produce prices are better than King Soopers. If you said SFMarkets produce prices are better, I would agree, but not WF. That said, what I love about this particular King Soopers is the amount of clearance items that appear in every section of the store. Milk, dairy, etc are in that section; lunch meat in that section; baked goods on the rack, meats in the meat section. Before I even shop for my groceries, I hit all these sections. I often find great deals on great food. When you pinch pennies like me and it's not unusual to have $20 to spend for food for an entire week, every penny saved counts. read more

my husband went in close to 5pm for a cake and asked a gal named Alisha in the bakery if she could write on it and maybe just a cheesy pic of a motorcycle. She went above and beyond, found a picture on her phone of a motorcycle and made an edible print of it with the "happy Birthday" as well. it was amazing!! she didn't have to put that much effort into making this last minute birthday cake one of a kind but she did, and we couldn't thank her enough!!! read more

I shop here because it is close and convenient, always friendly staff and never have an issue finding what I want there... What makes me give the 5 stars is because when I was there a week ago, I was just browsing through some of the isles and found myself in the cookie isle (I never buy cookies but for whatever reason I was there), and to my surprise they now sell Tim Tam's (Australia's national cookie!). Being an expat Aussie, almost fell on the floor with joy .... Needless to say I bought a pack and have been as happy as a pig in mud! Thank you King Soopers for making my day!! read more

This store is a huge disappointment. Three times I have had a bad experience there. First time, a year ago I ordered a white birthday cake, and got home and it was chocolate. I live 30 minutes away, and was unable to go back and exchange it. My daughter does not like chocolate, and so she was not happy. Next time I bought a "select" pie marked cherry, and got it home, and it was not cherry, but rhubarb/strawberry. Again, we could not eat that pie, as we do not like rhubarb. They do not know how to correctly label their products. Today they lost me as a customer. I called to order another birthday cake (today is Sunday) at 1 pm, and told the bakery person I needed to pick it up tomorrow (Monday) at 9 am morning. She refused me service and said they would not do my order because they needed 24 hours to make a cake. What a joke! I am a cake decorator by trade, worked at Alberston's and Safeway for many years, and we always took last minute orders. But my order was not a last minute order! She had plenty of time to make that cake (she had 19 hours to make that cake, and it only takes 15 minutes to put together). Had she asked what I wanted she would probably have already had one made. I only needed roses on top with a few words. I will never go back to this store or shop at this bakery! Poor management for sure. read more

We just moved to Firestone and although I've never been a big fan of King Soopers, I absolutely love this one! They always have lots of checkout lanes open and lots of *happy* employees to assist you with bagging and other things as needed. It's always clean, light, and stocked with everyday products with a lot of choices for brands and organics. It can be busy on the weekends which is always a hassle, and there's no organization at the deli counter so I've been cut in front of by a few rude people before, but otherwise my new favorite place to shop! read more

I can't say enough good things about this store. Spacious and clean. All employees from baggers, stockers, cashiers and management are also ready to help you. If they are out of something they have given me rain check or an upgrade (brand name or organic substitutes). Always helpful in locating items. Pharmacy employees are always helpful and will check for discounts for you. Never seemed rushed to help you. Very seldom have to wait for checkout. Employees are very friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. Sometimes the deli gets a little backed up but I have only experienced that a couple of times. Overall I think their meat, produce, bakery and deli are far superior to the other supermarket in Firestone. Best employees by far! read more
