This is a store I have been coming to for years. They have recently nicely upgraded the shopping area. Their selection of sushi is nicer than many other stores. However, the restroom facilities are not upgraded and are dingy and unpleasant. I cannot even imagine what it is like to work here and have to use these restrooms at the front of the store. They need to renovate the restroom area. read more

I wanted to shout out my girl River in the floral department!! Long story short, I'm getting married tomorrow and the woman that was supposed to make my bouquet bailed on me LAST NIGHT. I walked in there this morning and River took the best care of me! I picked out a few bouquets from the sales floor and she showed me some add-ins from her shipment so I snagged a few of those too. She created the most beautiful wedding bouquet and boutonnières for me and I couldn't have been so thankful! She was super sweet and literally gave me the best service ever-especially for me coming in so last minute! Before I left, I told her that she is my new go-to person when I need arrangements and I can't wait to see what else she creates for me in the future! read more

Good clean grocery store. Friendly staff. The selection of products is fairly diverse. They have a Starbucks in there also but keep an eye on the amount they give you in your cups. Like a lot of other Starbucks around here they usually only fill it about 50%-70% full. And add much as they charge that's ridiculous. read more

This is for their pharmacy. I've been going here for years and have yet to be greeted with a smile. Today was my last straw. I called left a message Saturday to refill a RX. Never got a call back so I used the automated system today. My RX was verified and said it would be ready today. I drove there waited in line, no RX because they had to order it. No apology, just a rude sour faced lady, and overwhelmed old man and me, without my RX I am already 5 days late on. Thanks for the phone call. Such a waste of my time read more

We have been shopping at the Greeley Safeway at Centerplace for over a year now. I would like to tell you how much we appreciate the staff. They have always been courteous and helpful, even throughout the hardship of the pandemic. I do have a favorite associate (cashier) who I would like to praise, and his name is Scott. so it's 10:15 pm and i had to grab medicine for my wife cuz she's sick , and all the employees in the store are giving me dirty looks watching me to see what i'm looking at..like i'm sorry people need stuff late at night sometimes , i'm not in there trying to full on grocery shop ... i'm sorry you hate your job safeway employees! find another job if your not happy doing closing shifts . your store hours are 6 to 11 pm !!!! if you have a problem with customers coming in an hour before you close ..change the store hours? or just lock the doors , honestly don't treat people like there vermin in your home . i worked in retail for 6 years , never have a i treated customers that way . specially the ones just trying to hurry and get what they need and leave , not bothering you with questions ! honestly the standards for employees at this safeway are low ...the day shift employees are super nice though , i exclude them from this review. read more

Kind of expensive, but also a little higher end product so I never really minded that. Used to enjoy shopping here until I used their bathroom and saw one of the checkers leave the urinal and return to work without washing up. I want to give this store 5 stars so bad. I just can't though. Whenever I shop here during the day it deserves 5 stars. All the employees are super friendly and helpful, lines are short, checkers scan items fast, everything is easy to find, and you get out of there quickly. When I think Safeway I think customer service. Thats what I expect when I go there. I don't mind paying the extra money to shop here when I receive quality items, service, and not have to deal with it being crazy busy like wal-mart. Today I was doing my weekly shopping which I normally do after 9. It was going great till I asked an employee where the tabasco sauce was. He stated it was in the spiced isle and then walked away! really?! That was so rude. I mean I obviously found the spices isle, but he could have escorted me there or at least gave me the isle number. Then I went to check out and I had a cart full of items. I went to the checkout and the man (who was a manager) told me I had to use the self-checkout. I motioned to my basket which is full of fruits and veggies which you have to enter codes for which I do not know. I asked if he could please scan my items. he said sorry but he was busy with closing duties. So I scanned my items. Took me forever. I didn't know the code for spinach. There was not a list or anything near by so I had to go find the manager and ask him what the code was. ridiculous. I don't even know why I come here after nine. This has happened to me almost every time I shop late. Normally It's not that big of a deal because I only buy a few things. This made me never want to come back. Which makes me so sad because I love safeway. I know this was only one time. Thats why I am still giving them 4 stars. read more

Over the last couple months my mornings have consisted of grabbing my morning caffeine and snacks at this SAFEWAY gas station. Carolyn has been my clerk many of my mornings. I always do my shopping here. I just think they have higher quality produce and a better bakery than other places in Greeley without being too expensive. It's also great because I have a Club Card, so I get great gas discounts as well. This is my favorite grocery story in Greeley. read more

The strength of this Safeway is that it carries items that other Greeley grocery stores usually do not carry. The sushi manager (I think she's the manager) is knowledgeable but in my opinion would benefit from fresher sushi meats and a wider variety of them. As it is, though, it's pretty good for an American sushi bar in an American grocery store. Which reminds me, most of the time we walk by their fish counter (a department of the store separate and some distance from the sushi bar). . . something smells fishy. It should not smell that way. Apologies, I did not mean to digress. Another positive is the bulk foods - you know, nuts and oatmeal and yogurt covered pretzels and things like that. Kind of like Sprouts. Fill you bag with your selected item as full or unfull as you want. The produce is typical Safeway standard. They carry bok choi and a few of the more common "exotic" fruits. Last time we went, the checker and bagger neglected to put a purchased item in the bags of the previous customer. We went though the check-out, got home, and found that one of our items, which showed on the receipt as having been paid, was missing. What are the chances of doing that to two customers in a row? I'm assuming it was only two customers in a row. It might have been three, or even ten, for all I know. Today I went to the baker. I was almost out of the bread I had purchased on our last trip. King's version of the specialty bread I wanted is made to be doughy in the middle, which is disappointing. So I thought I would try Safeway's, even though the outer appearance of the same bread at Safeway's seemed a little strange. Today there was less bread available in the bakery than there had been yesterday. Not only that, but I could recognize (yes I could!) some of the breads as the very same breads that were there the day before. The only difference was that they were several hours more into the world of stale. They had the specialty bread I was seeking. It was the same as was there yesterday, and had at least two day's worth of stale-hardened crust on the outside. I didn't want that. I asked the "bakerista" if the bakery would be making a fresh loaf anytime soon. She told me that what they had out was all they were going to have for the entire day! Really? Yesterday's stale bread is today's "fresh baked bread"? It's Monday. You can't make fresh bread on Monday? I don't mind that she expressed neither regret nor an explanation for the fact that Safeway's bakery had only stale bread to sell. The checkers and baggers don't have a problem joking and laughing, but the bakery employee didn't let slip a single smile. I'll still shop there, but I will find a bakery that gives better service. Maybe Batter Up. 6/29/13 So now there's a new kink. I had to stand in line a while to get checked out. There was only one cashier and one lane open. It's obvious what they are doing. They want everyone to use the self-check-out machines. All the grocery stores want that. That will reduce the number of employees, and thus reduce their costs. In return, we might expect a slight dip in prices. We might expect all we want, but I doubt we'll get it. I want to be checked out by a person, but I don't want to have to wait so long. Stopped by on a rainy day for my weekly shop as I didn't feel like driving to my usual super market (King Soopers on 10th). What a terrible mistake. The woman working at the meat counter was super rude, the produce left much to be desired, staff at the deli were no where to be found and the prices were way higher than I find at King Soopers. That being said I don't mind paying more for a pleasant shopping experience, which is why I shop at King Soopers instead of Walmart. But paying more to find rude staff and substandard products? No thanks! I will give a shout out to lady working at the self check named Maria who was really nice and helpful. Thank you Maria for being the only redeeming quality to this store. So, not happy with this store! We live 35 miles away, and my husband and I drove to Safeway and bought $25 worth of raw packaged chicken breasts because we are having company tomorrow and I planned to make a chicken dinner. We got home, and opened the store bag of chicken, and immediately a horrible smell hit my nose! I tore open the chicken wrap/package, and the smell was rancid. All the chicken was bad! I called the manager and he (Garry) agreed to refund me, but I am afraid to shop there again due to this! The meat workers had to know the meat was bad! Bad enough meat prices are going up, but to sell customers old meat to save $$$ is horrible. read more

I like the Safeway at Centerplace. They usually have what I want, and the produce is usually fresh and good. They keep the parking lot cleared of carts, which I appreciate very much. With their club card system I frequently get very good deals on the things I usually buy. On the minus side, I wish they had not stopped carrying the almond croissants they used to have. And once in a while they don't have as many cashiers as they ought to have. In my experience, their cashiers have been efficient and accurate as well as pleasant. read more
