DON'T USE KROGER DELIVERY! My order was delayed by hours, and dispatch never answered. I had to cancel. Instacart is more reliable, but pickup is best. The employees have a positive attitude, despite all the mess-ups with digital coupons, long lines, etc. The produce in the Taft store is often questionable, and the store is way too small. Kroger has gotten too big for its britches, imho. They should scale back and focus on customer service. Kamala was going to deal with their price gouging, but now they just keep being ridiculously expensive and impossibly chaotic. I'm buying my produce at Mountain Avenue Co-op because it's MUCH better! Buying groceries is stressful. Kroger adds to the stress exponentially. read more

I just wanted to update my review. Most of the time these days i just use pick up (which i love). If your order over $35 in products (i think) than you can use the pick up service for free. Jeff is most frequently the guy who brings out my groceries to me. I think he may also be in charge of the dept now? Since he has been around things have gone really well. my orders have been great and i have not had any issues anymore. He and the other couple of guys i have had load groceries over last 6 months at least are always friendly, thorough and most remember who i am. read more

Went to get groceries on Friday. Needed some hamburger from the fresh meat counter. The store manager and 2 other people were talking to one of the employees behind the counter. I know the store manager and the employee saw me but just kept talking. One of the 2 people with them came over finally and asked me if I needed something. This is the most stupid thing they can ask me, do they really think I'm just standing there for the hell of it?? I found out later the other 2 people were district managers. Another person at the counter helped me finally, this employee could not see me. Kroger has made so much money during the pandemic and they hardly have any checkers working on a Friday morning, shame on them. I want to like you, King Soopers, but it's really hard to when just about every other time I go I get home to unload my groceries something is totally smashed because for whatever reason, when employees pack stuff, they don't seem to care about what goes on the bottom or top of your bag. Since covid has started and I can't pack my own bag, I've had a carton of eggs smashed, bananas smashed, and today, I had some sausages smashed because someone decided to set a 10lb bag of flour on top of them. So it has taken me to maybe the 12th time of horrific service, including cashiers yelling at each other in front of me, stockers hitting me with their carts of merchandise then shaking their heads and giving me dirty looks (?), and total chaos with the self serve checkouts, to finally say I am never going back here again! It starts at the top, and evidently the manager of this store clearly has no clue what they are doing. I was there yesterday and there were at least 8 customers without masks. When I called, the manager said that they have signs that say the masks are required but their policy is to just encourage people to get their masks. No enforcement? None of those people were approached. That's a slap in the face to the rest of us. The masks protects others and they are putting everyone else at risk. This KS is in bad need of a makeover if it wants to remain competitive with the newer and more modern grocery stores out there. The location is really the only thing going for it, as it's really the only place within a few miles to get your goods. The location is also what makes it kind of trashy. It's in one of the oldest parts of town, so the road infrastructure getting here is some of the worst in the city, and the parking lot itself doesn't drain well and was built before cars got huge so pulling out is a 5-point turn excursion. The inside is kind of crap-tastic. Yes they are well stocked most of the time, but it's dingy and has a cramped, dirty feel. You know how Loveland has that dirty, old feeling? It's just like that. The staff is okay, however I never get the Hellos or Good-byes like I do with my KS in Denver. If any competition rolls in the neighborhood, this KS is going to be in trouble. read more

I asked a question and he started being belligerent, rude and argumentative. It felt like he was verbally attacking me. He told me to go talk to the customer service employee. Tonight I went to the King Soopers here in Fort Collins off of Taft and Elizabeth and used the Self Check out. I was buying canned cat foods and apparently I charged myself 6 extra canned cat foods because the sensor was so anti theft protective I didn't realize it. Jeff R. Who was working Self Checkout is the one who came over and helped me, he's actually the one who noticed I charged myself 6 extra dollar's . Very disappointed in my experience at this store today. I've shopped here since the late 1980's and sure expected more. I purchased a large plant from the store a couple of weeks ago. It was a nice plant but was getting leaf spots and edge burn in typical characteristics of plant virus. I wanted the plant out of my house as not to infect my other plants. I am a greenhouse manager and know plant virus when I see it. I brought the plant back to the store expecting to get a refund. I was instead told that since I didn't have a receipt I could not return the item. I asked to get the money on a King Soopers card and was refused. I left the sick plant there and feel I wasted my $25 on inferior product. I thought they would treat customers better than this. Now after over 30 years of shopping here I am done. Get your deli counter in order. The last three times I have been there it's been an excruciating wait. Today I went in and asked if there were some mustard packets anywhere. The employee stated that he has them behind the counter but he is very busy and I will have to wait a few minutes for him to grab some for me. He indicated that he was the only one there. If you are short handed, King Soopers, maybe you should increase the hourly pay for the deli workers. They have to deal with a lot more interactions with customers than other employees. Was at the store 2 days ago. Supplies were good. However, while the checkers and baggers were all wearing masks and gloves I saw. At least 2 stockers with masks pulled down around there necks. The isles were not one way as they are suppose to be snd the floor seemed dirty. As a comparison, Safeway on Taft had a shiny clean floor and there were people still sweeping. A every employee has a mask. The isles are all clearly marked as one way and the grocery checkouts have 6 ft marking do shoppers know where to stand at checkout. This is my least favorite place in all of Fort Collins. The parking lot is a disaster in terms of traffic and getting in and out. And the theme of bad traffic and poor mobility is carried through the whole store, especially near the front of the store, where there are places that you can't even fit two carts through. The only redeeming quality about this store is that they actually have a fairly decent produce section with nice quality produce. Definitely better than the nearby Safeway. The prices on their produce is also quite reasonable. read more

I'm in Fort Collins, Co on vacation visiting family and needed to pick up a prescription for antibiotics. Noah ran it through my insurance and of course my insurance does not like KingSoopers Pharmacy and won't pay anything. Normally this medication might cost me $15. Today $88 is what I was looking at paying. I was NOT happy. Noah, being such a great guy ran it through a discount card they have and bright the cost to $37!! Talk about making me a happy girl!! I've had multiple problems with the fulfillment of my orders from the app both at this location and others. Today, according to my receipt, I was charged for 1.8 lbs of cherries but received only 1.1 lbs according to my food scale at home. When I called to bring this to their attention they had such a convoluted explanation that that it was impossible to follow. The week before I received 1 package of hot dogs when the ad clearly stated they were buy 1/get 1 free. They were thoughtful enough to include both packages of buns however, so I was forced to buy a package of hot dogs again instead of using the free package! I don't know if this is a pattern of poor business practices or just bad luck on my part, but I will not shop there again! read more

Rude and misinformed employees at Bakery! Went to the bakery a week before I wanted to place my order to see the prices and what was offered. The person at the bakery at that time was very nice but misinforming. She said that we could have as many flavors for the cupcakes that were offered for the cakes. She said we could have any color of frosting and even showed us samples of frosting colors they happen to have. We came back to place our order with three different flavors in mind from the list of cake flavors. A different young lady was working in the bakery and was not friendly from the start. She said the other person didn't know what she was talking about and cupcakes can only be white, chocolate and confetti. Since we were on time crunch decided to do the limited flavors. I had napkins of the exact colors of the frosting as I wanted them to match the decor of my event. When giving her the napkins she didn't even take them and just wrote - pink, purple, orange and blue. I didn't want any shade of these colors, I wanted the frosting to match my decor. After that I said never mind and left. So I had to scramble and find a bakery that was at least willing to try to match the frosting colors. I found a King Soopers not in Town that offered more flavors and took my napkins and matched the colors perfectly. I was upset that I was missed informed at the beginning about the flavors offered of the cupcakes and the second person was completely rude, seem bothered and didn't care about my request. The bakery department needs better training or should not offer custom bakery items. read more

I do most of my shopping here. I wouldn't say I'm a fan, but it's the best that the area has to offer. The selection here is great; there is a lot to choose from. The staff is moderately friendly, but the store could use some customer service training. My biggest complaint is that the entire pace could use a remodel. I wanted cupcakes for my wedding. I worked it out with their baker over the phone and through emails, because I lived in another state. She took what I gave her, went with it and it was perfect! They looked beautiful and tasted yummy! AND of course decently priced. I think for 100 cupcakes it ended up being like $150. King Soopers is the overpriced, outdated grocery store that is too convenient to pass by when living near campus. Sure, their beer selection is unworthy of Colorado, but that has more to do with a weird law. Turns out you can buy weed in Colorado but not beer over 4% at your local grocery store. What were they smoking when they came up with that law anyways? Oh...right. Anyways, KS is the small town grocery store living in the big city of FOCO. Such a great store. My parents live in Fort Collins, and we seem to always make several trips to this store when I visit. My parents love the employees there, and I had a particularly great experience while there over Christmas. Went into the store with my brother in law to get some things for my pregnant sister, unfortunately the olive bar had just closed, which is what we needed. Christopher was working and was so sweet and helpful, and helped us load up on olives anyway! He gave advice on what to get, what was good, and even saran wrapped our containers before we left so nothing would leak. It may seem like a small thing, but given this was a task for a pregnant woman, it was actually a very big deal we got her some good olives! He didn't rush us, he was just genuinely kind and understanding. My brother in law and I were both very impressed and thankful. He was so great! I love this store. read more
