They have all of their deli items clearly labeled with dietary issues on them which is really very helpful. They generally always have gluten free and plant based items. The staff is always friendly and willing to help or answer questions. They also have produce, frozen foods and boxed items. also stuff that you can buy in bulk.

It's always been a cleanly and visually appealing store to shop at, and I look forward to it every time I go. The main "gimmick" of Esh's is the fact that their food is stuff that would normally have gone to waste--whether it be dented (but still sealed) boxes, or food that's past it's sell-by date but still safe to eat. They meticulously sort through it to stock the shelves at all three locations (Loveland (this one!), Windsor, and Dacono). This is where the 0.5 of a star gets knocked off, it's very hard to tell when certain items may start to go bad, especially those without any signs or expiration dates (though this is easily circumvented by using what you buy quicker). The other downside is it's hard to find products you love on repeat visits, since they get a variety of products from stores all across Northern Colorado there's no telling whether or not one item is here to stay or in limited stock. Despite my small gripes, I love this store to death and it's a great way to get some cheap produce, fancy cheeses, and other items you likely wouldn't have bought normally.

For at least the past year I've been able to get beautiful, dark-yolked eggs for $3.99 or less, even when other grocery stores were charging way more because of avian influenza-induced egg shortages. I'm sure it's a loss leader, but like the Costco rotisserie chickens it gets me in the door to spend money on other things. In general it is a pleasant shopping experience now that I know the store layout - it doesn't seem to get as crowded as other grocery stores and their staff are always nice. My one quibble would be with stocking of sale items - they often seem to be sold out and/or limited selection.

I said no, he said try another pump, pulled up and the pump credit card reader worked perfect. I went back and told him he should put a note on the other pump. We finish pumping our gas and the receipts failed so had to go to the window to get a receipt. Sorry we bothered the employee just sitting there, maybe get off the chair and fill the paper and maybe check the other pump.
