They have security guards checking your receipts upon exit now. He was really nice and I didn't mind. But I did gran cinnamon sticks instead of ground cinnamon so I let him know I was heading back in. The store was crowded for the holidays but I managed to find everything I needed. The returns associate was not happy with me as he didn't understand what I was trying to do. It was a buy two get one free so I had to return the spices and then repurchase them. This King Soopers has gone through several updates over the years. The inside designing and layout is easy to navigate and convenient for those who need to run in and out quickly. This King Soopers usually has everything needed in stock and has good, fresh produce. Usually, KS offers competitive prices as well. Cashiers are always pleasant as are the security guards. Sadly, this is not the most "comfortable" King Soopers to shop in, especially in the early morning hours. This is not the store's fault, but rather its location next to a major RTD light rail station. The store has done well with trying to add multiple security points inside and outside of the store and that is appreciated. read more

They canceled my bakery order via text, no reason. Other locations will refuse to take my orders due to "no bakers available". I ordered over a month ahead. Here to tell you if you need a cake, do not trust Kings. Sadly Sam's Club/Walmart have better service, prices and cake if you don't go to a direct baker. Do not go here. read more

They went downhill lately and by a lot. Store is pretty much empty in the evenings with them restocking at hours that are convenient for them, but not for customers. Too much spoiled food on the shelves and they miss out on their safety checks for the food. Lastly, the receipt checking policy - the guards just try to intimidate rather than solve any problems. One time they had somebody coherent who was able to answer the question of "what" they are looking for and the answer was "the number of items purchased". When I asked him if he has any idea how many items are in my bag for this to make sense, he just smiled and nodded at the store manager hanging out nearby. read more

I have shopped at the Arapahoe Crossings King Soopers since they opened; was there the first day. The new wrinkle at the store is a security guard, who is supposed to check everyone's packages (I emphasize EVERYONE'S PACKAGES), as they are leaving the store. Today, as I was leaving, he stopped me, but he neglected to stop the two young men who preceded me out of the door. The difference? I am Black and they were white. Now, I am not trying to be racist about this, but I cannot understand why he didn't stop two, young, disheveled white men, yet he stopped me, the older, well-dressed Black woman. If you're going to stop to question one, stop and question all. Even though I've shopped there for countless years, I am now going to shop at Safeway, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Costco, Walmart or anywhere else, and I'm not going back in there. In our current climate of racial unrest in this country, fomented by a racist president, King Soopers should not be jumping on the racist bandwagon. There are too many other options for overpriced groceries, and I and my friends will be exploring them due to this new wrinkle in King Soopers service. read more

just stopped in to buy lottery tickets at the service desk because I didn't have cash for the machine. The employee at the desk was helping another customer with what appeared to be wiring money. I got in line behind them and she barked at me that the line is way over on the other side of the service desk... and then when I said "oh OK" and proceeded to walk over towards that side, she turned around and looked at me and said "I'll be with you in about 10 or 15 minutes". I said "are you serious?" And she turned around and looked at me really nasty and barked "yes! I'm serious." this is the last straw for me and this King Soopers. I have a friend who is 92 years old and they treated her pretty badly at this same service desk a few months ago. When I say "badly", they overcharged her for something and then refused to credit the money back. The story is a lot longer and goes into how they spoke to her and acted toward her, as though she had no right to ask to be treated fairly. We came here to get dinner after BJJ class for my son and Sam in the deli area provided a great experience. Her energy was kind warm and welcoming, her smile was a reflection of the gorgeous queen she is. Thank you for putting love and good energy into the food, it was fresh and delicious to say the least! We are so thankful we decided to come here today. It was a refreshing experience from being harassed by creepy racist Paul at the englewood location. King Soopers deserves 5 stars. The assistant manager Tara and every employee who worked yesterday March 15th is a rockstar. They were polite, friendly and helpful even with atrocious conditions in most neighborhoods and on Parker road. The store had a ton of employees who couldn't make it in because of the snow. They had as many items available as possible and stayed open to allow people to purchase groceries despite a huge amount of snow on Sunday. Was here to shop on my first day living in Colorado. The sign on the door told me I would be in a safe place. There were two people in the store not together who were blatantly not wearing masks and wanting to be noticed. When myself and another woman pointed one of them out we were told masks were a suggestion. They could not require them. I will go to Safeway (further away) from now on. read more

Never again! Management doesn't seem to care at all! Numerous times we have been charged a different price than what is marked at the shelf. When Management is confronted, their reply is: "we have to go with what's in the system - 'not what's marked on the shelf'". Never again! There are a lot of other choices. read more

This used to be my second King Soopers of choice it is not necessarily the closest but was always considered to be one of the nicer locations in my mind. I've never had any issues with this King Soopers until earlier this summer at the end of July. My husband went to this King Soopers to purchase tilapia for fish tacos. My husband cooked it an extra 10 mins in the oven and believe me that fish was fully cooked! I ate two tacos and immediately started feeling sick. When I went to the bathroom I had diarrhea and within an hour I started vomiting uncontrollably. Not to be graphic but this was the worst vomiting/diarrhea I have ever had in my life! My husband was about to take me to the hospital because I had gut wrenching pain for the rest of the evening. I have had food poisoning in the past and believe me this was some thing beyond just that. Prior to that day I had not eaten a single thing I had been working all day and hadn't had a minute to eat so by the time two tacos were placed in front of me I gobbled them down quickly. Every other topping was freshly purchased and washed. Unfortunately while my husband was cooking the fish (before I got sick) he took a bite when it was complete and about 4 hours after I started being sick he threw up four times in a row, from just a bite of the fish. He fortunately had a far lesser reaction than I did. When I finally started feeling better the evening of the next day I called this King Soopers customer service to let them know I had gotten food poisoning from their fish to alert them so they do not continue to sell it and their response was "yea, ok whatever". Now today I am finding through the news that there is a massive salmonella outbreak linked to a fish distributor that sells to dozens of different grocery stores and this all occurred between May-October 2021. Over 80 people in Colorado have reported being sick from fish. Colorado was hit the hardest. I am so disappointed in King Soopers for not taking my concern seriously!! Shame on you! The low score is for the poor service I recieved today from the front of the store manager. She was working the cash register and she mistakenly placed some of my purchases into the bag of the customer in front of me. This manager became mad that she had to correct that customer's transaction. And 3 times told me it was my fault because I did not place that dividing bar on the conveyor belt. She was very irritated about it. I'm sure this type of situation happens daily and that she is familiar with how to correct it, however she behaved as if it was a difficult thing to do. Worst customer service ever. Store made a mistake and something rang up wrong, no big deal other than the 10 min wait at customer service to which finally another person was called over to help. I explained they made a mistake Dawns response was well I didn't make a mistake, no apology, no nothing. Then I tried to explain I am in a hurry running later to pick up my little guy from soccer. Response was I don't know anything about no soccer or no kid. Just incredibly rude. She should not be working in customer service with that attitude. Then on top of it when I called the corporate number and went to the website they need an account number to be able to record my feedback. Ridiculous. Guess I will be shopping elsewhere. Today (December 24th) I was shopping at King Soopers for some last-minute items for Christmas. From the number of patrons in the store, I was not the only one with this idea. The store was packed. The store was exceptionally well-stocked. But the checkout process was the amazing part. King Soopers must have called in nearly every associate because the speed at which they were politely and efficiently checking out customers was amazing. The associate at the checkout I used was normally at Starbucks but had been called over to help with the KS customers. Whoever was managing this store today did an absolutely fabulous job. As everyone knows, weekly specials start on Wednesday and ends 6 days later. If you need small shopping cart, look to the left as you enter. Starbucks to your right and pharmacy st8 to the back. This isn't my regular King Soopers and I stopped in to pick up a few items. I appreciate the effort to improve social distancing and they even did the announcement over the PA system while I was in the store. What surprised me was seeing their own employees disregarding the one way aisles. These were the "shoppers ". I made the comment at the customer service desk that this wasn't a good message for customers to see. The response I got was if they had something to do in a particular aisle, they would go directly there. So their message is that their efficiency is more important than protecting their customers Health! King Soopers pick up grocery service at the Crossroads shopping center is amazing!! They are so kind and attentive and if there was something that was not able to be fulfilled initially, they will double check inventory once again before bringing the groceries to your car. The customer service agents are so helpful with this service- shout out to Peggy, she is always so helpful and happy to get you what you need. I frequent this location often because it's the closest to where I live. It might be because it's old but it just feels dirty and not as nice as other King Soopers I've visited. The fruits and vegetables are fresh. The hot lunch selection is lacking compared to other King Soopers I've visited. It's the first King Soopers I noticed that constantly playing a fake security check message and a notice for the employees to do a walkabout. It's all fake to scare away thieves I guess. Often there are people soliciting things outside the one entrance/exit of the store. Other than the Girl Scouts, this is really annoying to me. I'm leaving the area so thankfully I'll soon never have to visit this location again. read more

If you try to get fresh vegetables any day during the week after 5pm (except Sundays before noon), you're out of luck. They are completely cleaned out. The pharmacy department (and King Soopers as a whole) has terrible customer service. I had an expired insurance card BUT didn't have the newer one I got over the Holidays in my wallet. They wouldn't let me give them my insurance ID (which doesn't change) to pick up my RX. I've been a customer of theirs for years and it seems like each time I go back the service gets worse and it takes more and more types of ID just to get cold RX. I'm NOT A METH USER! I need to get rid of my cold!!! Quit treating me like one! The grocery dept is OK. But many times the aisles are not faced properly or they are out of something with no explanation. The aisles were widened but they are still too narrow. It's time the entire store goes through a remodel. It needs it. I was in the grocery business for over 15 years working for Wegmans Food Markets in the Northeast. This place, customer service and product offering wise, don't even come close. There needs to be more thought put into the store layout and the freshness and availability of their produce, meat, seafood, deli, and prepared foods. It's too limited. If I try to get a rotisserie chicken and sides after 5, there's nothing left. Please make more during the week so those of us who work (or are stuck in the usual crappy Denver rush hour traffic) can pick up something quick if we don't feel like cooking some nights. This store was nice about 8 years ago, but it's time for a fresh start with the service, product and layout. I'm also wondering why the WiFi is nearly non existent except if you're in a tiny corner where Starbucks is located?! It's terrible. I realize it's a warehouse type building with a bit more interference than the normal house, but please realize that 90% or more of your customers use their phones to find recipes and/or get their shopping lists! Install numerous points of WiFi around the corners of the store! It's not that expensive for a company your size to offer even regular service! I'd like to see this store do more, but it's just gone slowly downhill. You need to rotate your product, keep it fresh, constantly keep it clean and keep your offerings up to date. You have way too much space devoted to seasonal and beer. Make better use of your freeezer space and coffin cases and end caps! This is the only grocery store close to my house and I refuse to give Target or Mal-Wart my business unless it's the last store on earth! You've got a great customer base, keep them coming back and attract the hopper crowd just a bit! Also, the way that my groceries are always bagged is pure laziness. I know I am not only one who noticed this but One of your guy employees has the worst body order I have ever smelled in my entire life. I swear to God when I came in yesterday to get some pastries this man had a radius of about 20 feet around him where you couldn't get any closer than that. It made me physically sick. I would never return food on a normal basis but I had just bought a pack of fresh mozzarella, when I got home I realized the package was cut open in the middle by a box cutter, so I went back to the store to swap it out and was treated very rudely by customer service. She treated me like a thief for no reason and I was told if I don't have my receipt or know exactly what register I bought it on then I can't swap it out. On paper, this KS location has a lot going for it. Good location, new road infrastructure and it's surrounded by other good businesses. For some reason the reality is very different. It is hard to get into off of Parker road and it takes a mile drive around the complex to be able to get out onto Arapahoe. So what's left is the friendly staff you're used to at your regular KS. Again, something is not stirring the Kool Aid on that note. The staff has been so consistently rude, dismissive and unfriendly to me that I wonder why I stop by anymore. One time the self-service oversight person didn't know how to correct the computer's error during checkout and decided the easiest way to deal with me was to walk away and not come back. If you come here late at night you'll get even worse treatment and you'll be given the creeps by the half dozen random people hanging around outside in the dark. The one redeeming feature this KS has is the meat, produce and soda/chip/snack stuff is priced better than the competition. read more

I am a King Soopers shopper, have been for years. I just moved to this area, and I have to say that this is a disappointment as far as King Soopers is concerned. The store itself is clean enough, and the people seem friendly that work there, and just like King Soopers everything is easy to find. Now the bad, the parking lot is a complete disaster, finding a place to park is near impossible. There are several other businesses and restaurants in this lot and the traffic makes it a nightmare. Getting into the lot from Parker Road is no east feat either, as much as I like the close location, I'm going to drive a bit further to Parker to shop. The worst customer service experience! Don at the service desk does not know the basics of customer service. They sold spoiled meat, and he fought me on issuing a refund because it was marked down and he kept pointing at a sign. Although the meat was marked for sell by a later date and there's no sign that it's a final sale when you purchase it. When I raised my voice, he called the manager and as she answered a call on a cell phone and just told him to issue a refund and walked off. No apology for selling spoiled meat or inconvenience this has caused or for having to deal with the worst customer service. nice layout, recently renovated, and the store is clean. there's a Starbucks with chairs and tables to hang out, and a USBank inside the store. i'm not a big fan of their parking lot, though. the rows only fit about 10 cars before you get to a median then a "street" in the middle of the parking lot. parking past the "street" seems so much further, as well as nerve-wracking since people never seem to know how to drive through this parking lot! fortunately, the turnaround is usually pretty fast and you can usually find parking in the front section of the lot relatively quickly. the employees that work at this store are all very nice... with the exception of ONE -- the sushi chef lady here is NASTY! (i like to refer to her as the 'sushi nazi' ...think, seinfeld) at first i thought "oh, she's probably just having a bad day" but then time after time i go there, it's like she's constantly in a foul mood! and on top of that, the sushi she puts out always looks like its falling apart and ugly -- anytime i need a sushi platter for an event, i prefer to drive a little further as bringing a platter of her stuff would be embarrassing!! unfortunately, the king's location nearest my home doesn't have a sushi station so this is the closest one to me.. but i have been to a couple different locations with sushi and none of them are anything like that! in fact, i've been to the location in south parker near stroh ranch and the sushi there is great -- it's almost like being at a real sushi bar! the chefs are professional and friendly, and the sushi looks and tastes delicious! this location seems to be pretty on top of things when it comes to checking their products. i had previously lived near a competitor store in a different area, and frequently came home only to notice that the product i had just purchased was already expired -- sometimes by several months! this store seems to have new 'managers specials' and clearance items (near the pharmacy) all the time, which tells me they check their stock frequently! overall, i'm a fan -- i just stay away from certain parts of the store when i can!! read more

I love this King Soopers! We go here every week for our groceries even through there are other stores (including a King Soopers) that is closer. This store is set up perfectly. They have a FANTASTIC produce section and everything is fresh. They also have a good selection of organic produce. They also have a good meat section and the prices are great. I also love that they carry Boars Head lunch meats. Oh and the customer service is great. Overall my I just don't see myself shopping anywhere else for my grocery staples. And can you really beat their gas program? Me thinks not. read more

The reason i go here and not Walmart isn't because i just like to pay a little more for my groceries, it's for the service, and when i go to this king soopers i always wish i just went to wall mart. Perfectly fine for what it is, this King Soopers is definitely a King Soopers. In fact, it may even be tidier than most other locations. The layout of the store makes absolutely no sense, but I suspect they do that on purpose so you get lost and stay there longer. The staff is average on the friendliness scale and the products are the same as the ones you'd find anywhere else. The major advantage of this particular location is that it happens to be HUGE, so there's a good chance you'll find exactly what you need. read more
