After exploring the eating options in Union Hall, I decided to go with King's Chicken Wings. I was…read morein the mood for carbohydrate, so I picked the loaded fries which came with fried chicken pieces. For seasoning, I picked garlic parmesan. For sauce, I went with the classic buttermilk range. It was a 15 minutes wait for the fries since King's was hopping and everything was freshly cooked. The fries was full of chicken pieces and too too oily. The seasoning and sauce were on point and additive. Youngest daughter and Mrs. tasted tested my fries. They liked it so much that they kept stealing fries and chicken pieces from my plate. The said my fries tasted better than their dishes from another vendor. Employees were friendly and helpful. Cost was a tab high for fries and chicken pieces, but the quality and tastes justified it.

The reviews had me nervous before eating there so I really lowered my expectations before ordering the burger just so I wouldn't be too disappointed. The food arrived quickly after ordering. The establishment is dark inside so that would be one downfall.

I had heard Bubds was turning it around so we decided to go and honestly, the quality is back! We were very impressed with the food and service. Now prices, that's a different topic, as it's expensive. However, my wings were juicy, hot, and sauced well enough that I didn't feel cheated. I do think their sauces have lost heat because the Hot didn't even make my nose run. However, if you haven't been back in years like us, give them a shot again. Just take double the money you used to because 15 boneless will run you $20. Ambiance is a sports bar so it's not for everyone.

It's a Hard No! Avoid the Waco Hippodrome theater if you desire to do a performance here…read more Our non-profit was going to be doing a performance sometime this summer 2025 and I reached out to this venue right after the holidays sometime in February I believe. I wasn't asking for much just to be able to come by and see the possible space that we would be using and get the particulars on how much it would cost us or if it would take a percentage of the ticket sales that kind of thing. Several days went by without a response. So I actually called and got The Lovable Miss Congeniality herself Michelle who was about as helpful as a snake bite in the desert with no medical. She explained to me there's only one person that can help me and that's aaron. Turns out it took another several days to total an exact week before he got back to me. I responded by both Facebook Messenger phone text email and it was still another 4 days. After that I gave him a few Choice words and said I would be looking elsewhere which I did. So I narrowed it down to a couple in the area but did not like the pricing from those other venues so I thought it would go back to Hippodrome one more time and give them a second chance...bad idea. This second time when I emailed unfortunately Aaron was up to his old tricks and after hours and hours from an email that I sent which I know we got cuz he's a younger guy he's younger people get their texts and emails instantly they look at them and then decide whether to respond or not. I'm quite certain he looked at it and decided again like he did back in February not to respond in a timely manner and thus we're pulling the plug on any hope with the hippodrome theater and leaving them this well-deserved bad review. As far as a spectator I saw the Eagles wanna group a few years ago... it's like a tribute group to the Eagles and we were up in the balcony and it wasn't very comfortable and you had to kind of see through either the beams or some of the hand railing. It wasn't a very pleasant experience up there in the balcony. Other reviews have said that the food really sucks and is horrible. I don't know about that I cannot comment on that. The physical location seems cool because its historic it is right downtown Waco but they're giving this Historic Landmark a huge black eye by having p*ss poor customer service, ...actually nonexistent customer service.
