We recently used this company for a long-distance move, and overall we're very happy with the experience -- especially the moving and packing service, which was excellent from start to finish. Sandra and Wesley were incredibly efficient, careful, and friendly. They helped us pack everything with great attention to detail, handled the transportation smoothly, and even helped assemble furniture upon arrival. Their professionalism made the moving day so much less stressful -- huge thanks to both of them! As for the auto transport service, it was decent, but not as smooth. After the car arrived in Massachusetts, it sat there for five days. On day 3, the driver contacted us saying he could deliver that night, but it ended up being delayed another two days, finally arriving on the last day of the promised delivery window. Communication during this process was difficult -- both text and phone responses were slow. I also reached out to Mitch via email for help since we could save on rental car extension, but unfortunately never received a reply. That said, the car was delivered intact with no visible issues, and we're still grateful for that. Make sure you quadruple check that you haven't left any valuables in your house before these guys come and pack your stuff. As we unpacked I noticed there were some missing items. But I didn't want to jump to conclusions so I waited till we were completely finished unpacking before I accused them of stealing. After searching everywhere I can't find my go pro and my Beats by Dre headphones. Over $700 taken. I am well aware that it's my stupid fault for not taking these things with us with our other valuables, but I simply missed these items. The main guy asked me to go check the progress upstairs and while I was up there he came up and started asking me personal questions as if he was trying to distract me and keep me up there. I had a bad feeling about this and when I went back downstairs they were all by the door and told me they were going to lunch. There was one guy already by their truck. I'm super disgusted that you can't trust these people to do their job with honesty and integrity. The boxes they used are addressed 13535 Larwin Circle in Santa Fe Springs. I don't know if these boxes are used for every moving location, but if they aren't be very aware of what's going on in your home with this specific location. read more

This company signed a binding agreement with me for my move across country. One the of the largest items that needed to be moved was a stone Buddha. King contractually committed to crating it, moving it to the truck, transporting it across country, uncrating it and then place it in its proper place. For 2 months we told the company and their representative Dominic that their ask method of moving it wouldn't work because it was too heavy. On the day of the move they couldn't move the Buddha like we told them. They then decided to break to binding contract and had us hire our own company at 10 times to cost to get it packed onto the truck and unpacked on the other end. Then King charged us 4 times the contractual cost to move it across the country once our people we hired got it into their truck. We now have to take legal action to get our money back because they are dishonorable and won't honor the original contract. DONT EVER HIRE THESE DISHONEST MOVERS read more

We moved from the east to west coast! King relocation did a great job with our move. We did a crate move, requiring 2 crates. They packed everything neatly so that everything arrived without damage. They unassembled and reassembled everything on site. Everything was put together and unloaded within 2hours. They were in contact with us every step of the way. Only downside was their car moving service which was separate from their household moving service. They picked up our car outside of the predetermined window and made it so that we had to choose between missing our flight or asking a neighbor to sign for the car. They then asked us/the neighbor to drive the car to a different meet up location instead of picking up at our home as previously promised. They eventually conceded and the courier ubered to the house pick up the car. There was a significant back and forth that was very stressful while trying to work and coordinate a cross country move. Despite the initial hassle, the car did arrive on time. I would definitely use their services again for home moving but not for the cars. read more

The quote was accurate and extremely reasonable. They referred me to an auto transport company which was also extremely reasonable, and most economical of all options researched. They provided the services that I requested, which included packing and shipping. The packing lacked sufficient paper wrapping and box labeling was not sufficient enough (boxes labeled 'office' needed extra detail like: 'office books' or 'office decor' or 'office desk'). There were scratches on some of the furniture which I personally was not upset about, but can imagine that someone else might be. There was insufficient communication between the driver and coordinator. Two months prior to the move I was instructed to reserve two parking spaces in front of the building. This required purchasing a permit with the city, which was a nominal fee. The night (7:30 pm) before, I was called by the driver and was told that they were driving an 80' rig. After discussing this with the driver, I was informed that it'd be figured it out and not to worry about it (ha, no sleep for me that night). The following morning there was street cleaning on the other side of the street and the driver parked where parking was prohibited so the street cleaners could proceed (lucky for the driver that the space was available and no tickets were issued). This situation caused a lot of anxiety which up until this point was non-existent. I would use King Relocation again, but not as a first choice. read more

My items were unloaded and unpacked with care as ordered. They were polite. They carried a lot of our heavy stuff upstairs--very hard working. They made sure to keep good form as to not get injured. Our walls were also not scratched or dinged so I appreciate the care there. The only thing was they seemed like they were in a rush. While I appreciate doing things quickly, I felt rushed since I was unpacking boxes with them (I only ordered for 5 boxes to be unpacked by them) so they could take the rubbish. I didn't feel that I had enough time to truly verify that all my items arrived in good condition before signing off on the forms. They were done in 2 hours and rushed off by Noon. Not sure why they were so rushed. Overall, while many moving companies don't treat items with respect, they did. That is very valuable in itself when paying for a service to entrust your belongings to. You get what you pay for. read more
