From the minute I stepped through the door at King LASIK I knew this was the place to be. The waiting room was comfortable with snacks and coffee available while you wait. From there, they brought us, my husband came with as my driver, to recheck my eyes. We then went into a room where my eyesight was checked again by a doctor and finally by Dr. King who did my surgery. He was very personable and made me feel like I was an actual person not just a number. They offered a sedative but I declined and we then went to the surgery area. While I waited my turn, I relaxed in a massage chair which was a very nice touch. Once in the OR, the procedure took maybe 10 minutes and they talked me through the entire process. They asked me questions about myself which helped take my mind off of everything going on. After a quick recheck to make sure everything went well, I was on my way with my instructions, new night goggles and a bag of coffee. It was also a great comfort that, during the entire process, my eyes were checked several times by different doctors to make sure everything was correct. That night, I got a text from Dr. King checking in and I was very impressed by that. I never expected that! I was back the next morning for a recheck and was in and out in 20 minutes. There is a lot to commend about King LASIK but the top two things are the people and the facility. I don't think I could have asked for nicer and more confident staff, from the front desk gal to the doctors. The facility was also super clean! Very modern and comfortable as well. Pre-consultation: upon arrival, you get checked in and have some vision tests done. The dr will confirm if you're eligible for the procedure. They send home a folder with information of what to expect, which was really helpful. The dr will also provide you with a RX prescription that needs to be filled, before you proceed with the procedure. It's for some medicated eye drops. Someone will call to follow up and discuss the cost, procedures, scheduling and answer any questions you may have. Day of surgery: make sure you arrange for a driver to drop off and pick you up. Since it's covid, they will call your driver 20 mins prior to the procedure being done so that you're ready to go when it's done. When you arrive you check in, sign consent forms, get a vision test again, meet Dr King and ask any questions you may have, meet with Roxanne (payment person) who will provide you with some anxiety meds to help you relax and can answer some questions about the procedure process as well. She also confirms your post-op appointment and process so you know what you should be expect. Make sure you bring the preservative-free eye drops (Costco has the 100 count Refresh vials that's usually on sale and is great for Lasik), as well as the prescription eye drops. Dr King will return and set you in a waiting area with a bouffant cap, take a restroom break if you need at this point. You will then be escorted to a room, and some ladies will put in the numb drops in your eyes. When Dr King arrive in the room, it will take no more than 5 mins from the time you enter the room. They will cover one of your eyes, and use a suction cup to keep it open. At this point, you can feel the pressure but not feel a thing. Shortly after, you will be guided to the chair next to it, literally one step away and you will be asked to look at the green light. Each eyes literally takes 14 seconds, I appreciated the fact that they do a countdown so you know when it will be over. The staff hands you the night goggle that will you be wearing for the next 7 days, as well as Tylenol if you shall need it. Once I got home, I hop into bed and was having a hard time getting into a comfortable position, but once I settled in and get some rest (as advised) for the 4-6 hours later, I felt much better. Dr King also followed up with a text with his personal cell phone a few hours later, which I thought was a really nice touch. Post-op check-in: the following day, it was very liberating! And almost seems very surreal that glasses or contacts is no longer needed. Very refreshing to hear that I have a 20/20 vision now. You are also handed a certified card that shows that you don't need to wear corrective lenses on your drivers license. How cool is that?! I should also pre-faced this, almost a decade ago, I came in for a pre-consultation and was turned away because my eyes were not stable at the time. Although, I was really disappointed that I was not a candidate but I was really grateful that they were really honest with me and didn't recommend that I do it, as if I was another number or money maker. I was really impressed with this, so you can only imagine when I found out that I was finally eligible. Overall, I am very please with the results, procedures and the staff at King LASIK. I'll be honest. I was a little bit nervous about getting LASIK, I mean I only have 2 eyes. Dr. King, from the first phone call, is such a genuinely nice person. Every person on staff that I talked to made the process so smooth and enjoyable. My wife and I had been talking and decided that, the ability to see without glasses or contacts is very important. What happens if there is a disaster in the middle of the night? How would it feel to go camping without having to worry about putting in and taking out contacts each night...and worrying about your contact falling out or tearing. I decided to finally go ahead and get the procedure and after a little research found King Lasik. I looked up reviews on the company, the doctors, etc. Scheduled my appointment and got going. The surgery took 8 or 9 minutes from start to finish. My eyes felt watery but not painful just slightly uncomfortable. I just went home, went to sleep and the next morning I went in for my follow up appointment and now I have 20/15 vision! I am ecstatic about my procedure, my results and King Lasik. I just realized it's been about 4 years since I had my eyes corrected and I never left a review for King LASIK. I am one of the few people that I know of who had such bad eyesight that I was almost blind without corrective lenses. My eye prescription was -14.75 in each eye. Years ago, I met with Dr. King, and knowing beforehand that my eyesight may never be perfect, decided to go with lasik. Fast forward 6 months and when one of my eyes hadn't healed quite right, I then went with a second surgery doing prk to try to correct that eye. I can now say 4 years later that this was a life changer for me. I can see 20/20 in both eyes. I do have a slight astigmatism but it's not bad. I will also add that I have dry eye in that one eye now that had two surgeries, so make sure you go into the surgery with healthy hydrated eyes. But all in all, yes I'd do it all again. read more

Prior to the LASIK procedure, contact lenses were easier and more convenient for me. The staff and doctors at King LASIK are friendly and professional. (which is why they don't get a low rating). For my follow ups, I did have to remind them why I was there. (Ex. "Okay everything looks great, we don't need to see you anymore." Me: "Umm I came in because we discussed my extreme light sensitivity, remember?") However, 5 months after the procedure I'm still experiencing extreme light sensitivity. Seeing light rings on the back of my eyelids, going blurry after looking at my phone for 4 minutes, and not being able to drive at night, worse close up vision, to name a few. I've gone in for post-op appointments regularly, and have been on supplements, warm eye compresses, additional eye drops, wearing sunglasses everywhere, and blue blocking lenses while on screens... which all add up to WAY more time spent on my eye care than before the procedure: simply putting in contacts in the morning, taking them out at night. Recovery can be varied for different individuals. But for me, having no prior experience with light sensitivity has made my post LASIK life much more cumbersome to manage. I should also mention that I'm glad that my distant vision is crisp when not dealing with light sensitivity. Knowing how simple my contact lens routine was prior to the procedure, I would have opted out of LASIK for now. If my eye-care routine prior to the procedure was more complex, and took a lot of time, I then might have considered the procedure knowing what I know now. Hopefully this review helps with those considering LASIK, I will come back to update this review if/when my light sensitivity improves. read more

It's been exactly one week since I've had my LASIK done and I have 20/20 vision! I do have a final check up in a few days so I'll have to update this after that. I chose King LASIK because of their great location near home and work, great customer service, comfortable waiting room with a variety of snacks and drinks, and also a recommendation from my boyfriends co-worker. Both my boyfriend and I got LASIK done and we even got to be in the room together and watch each other's operations get done. I'm squeamish so I admit I was grossed out yet fascinated at the same time. For me, it was a painful experience when the flap was created and immediately after my operation was done. It was full on tears and runny nose and pain for hours all day and night that first day, a lot of irritation the next few days, but today being day 7 it's a ton better and I'm so amazed at my results! --- Update after a few months. I started my lasik journey at the Lynnwood location. I enjoyed meeting with Lilly and the rest of the staff at Lynnwood. They explained every step of the process and made me feel comfortable with my decision. My eyes were almost not a candidate due to my really high astigmatism. Dr King warned I would need a touch up and asked if I'd still like to proceed. I was tired of wearing glasses and I figured the rewards outweighed the risk. Surgery was quick and painless. The recovery was a breeze. Dry eyes is almost non existent now. This is the best decision I've made in my adult years. I wore glasses starting at the age of 6. King LASIK - Seattle Central - At the beach - Laser Eye Surgery/Lasik Near Me - Tukwila, Washington

I've mulled over writing a review for King Lasik for the 2 months it's been since I had my PRK procedure there. For anyone reading, note that PRK is a very different kind of laser surgery than traditional Lasik. It's an option for people like myself, with severe astigmatism that I learned about from two friends who had it done successfully (at a competing clinic). I went with King Lasik because they provided more education about the procedure, had excellent customer and really made me feel cared for as a client. That care continued until I was out the door the day of my procedure, and ended there. It has been two months since my procedure, and my eyesight is corrected somewhat, but not enough for me to do anything. I cannot see well enough to drive, watch a movie, and I certainly cannot read anything. I've lived my life seeing amorphous blobs when I wake up in the morning, and now I would say I could probably survive the zombie apocalypse if I had to jump out of bed and run for my life, it's not a total loss. After one month I went back to my optometrist for some contacts or glasses to get me through, with the hope that the healing process would result in my vision getting slowly better, which is what I've been told constantly since the surgery. Now I can see well with contacts, which wasn't an option before, so I can live with that. What I cannot get past is how I've been treated by the doctors at King Lasik during the past two months. During my consults with more than a couple of doctors and nurses, I was told repeatedly that I would need about 3-4 days of downtime and then I'd be great and seeing like I never had before. I was told to go home the day of to rest and sleep, take their prescribed Tylenol, and take it easy. I asked about possible complications and was told that "there really aren't any because it's 99% effective". I clearly fell into the 1% because it was a nightmare. I couldn't open my eyes for 3 days, I had to call out of work for the entire week following, and I'm damned fortunate to have supervisors who are very understanding, it was a nightmare. During my follow up visits, Dr. Wu would test my vision based on the 20/20 eye chart, telling me that even if I have to squint and I can barely make it out, that was telling of my "healing" vision. Never have I had an eye specialist of any sort grade my vision based on squinting and barely making something out. This also didn't touch upon my complete inability to read anything close up, even an arms length away. I broke down crying in that office more than once (and I'm NOT a crier), and Dr. Wu continued to stare blankly at me and tell me that my astigmatism was really advanced blah blah blah. Guess what? I know that, because I've lived with it my entire life! She gave me some random contact lenses saying that might help while my eyes are still healing in the same breath told me that she could not give me a Rx or fit me for contacts there. I'm no eye doctor, but that's just unethical. I don't fault the doctors for the fact that my PRK didn't correct my vision as much as we had hoped. What I find abhorrent is the fact that they did not adequately prepare me for what would and could happen. In the time since then, I've found online forums about PRK with so many people have full healing times of 4-6 months, or not at all. Maybe I should've included random Reddit threads in my online research, it would've been a lot more helpful than the info provided to me by professionals who have been performing the procedure for years. I just wish that anyone in the mix took a moment to explain realistic side effects and healing, give me a bad case scenario so I could have been properly informed when making this decision and spending $4,000 on it. Had I known any of this, I wouldn't have done it. I have expressed this to them a few times, and the most I get is "I'm sorry this didn't go the way you wanted it to." So am I. So am I. read more

It was great at first kinda. its been 3 years and I'm back in contacts almost as bad of vision I had before in left eye and my right eye I cannot even get corrected now. I had lasik at Dr Kings Renton office then less then a year later pkr on the right eye. My vision is horrible now. please be cautious reading reviews Dr King offers free t-shirts after surgery for 5 star reviews (When your vision is good at first) the long term effect from this surgery is what you need to worry about. I am LITERALLY typing this 24 hours AFTER my surgery! BRAVO to King Lasik! MY ANXIETY for LASIK surgery with which I've postponed for almost a decade was simply because I am extremely squeamish about my eyes. So much so it used to take me 20 minutes to even put in contacts. Finally, I received a bonus from work and said to my wife who also wears glasses, NO BETTER time than the present! I WISH I HADN'T waited almost 10 years to do this 8 minute procedure!!!!! AMAZING RESULTS!! EVERYTHING IS SO VIBRANT. SO CRYSTAL CLEAR. It's like seeing in 4K!! I went in with an Astigmatism in my left eye so that eye required PRK. My right eye was straightforward so I had Lasik on that one. I went from 20/200 vision to 20/15 in BOTH eyes in a matter of MINUTES!! I was blown away how crystal clear everything has become!! I AM IN COMPLETE AWE!!! MY left eye is still a bit sore and I was told that with PRK, the fuzziness and slight pain will diminish in about a week, but I am SATISFIED BEYOND MEASURE!! I had PRK done in April and though I'm still within the 3 month recovery period I am not satisfied with the results mainly because my left eye is still very blurry. I went in thinking I would have Lasik but right before surgery I was told PRK would be a better option for me. I spent a week at home very miserable, recovery was very slow and painful. I was pretty useless for about 2 weeks . I could not look at the computer screen for more than a few minutes before feeling pain. I'm really hoping my left eye vision improves in the next few months. Because PRK/Lasik surgery is expensive I was expecting my vision to be much better than it is by now. Every one's healing time is different and pain tolerance is also different. Best recommendation is to be sure this is what you want before you get this done. I'll be updating my review after 6 months. Update: it's been 10 months since I had PRK. I wanted to wait to give my opinion based on the recommended recovery time. My vision today is better than 3 months post surgery. I do not have 20/20 vision but I believe I have achieved the best possible result for my individual situation. Overall, I'm happy with the results. I got PRK and I'm very happy with the results. My vision was -2.75 both eyes and now I can read 20/20. Price: I definitely think it is worth the money. They give you plenty of opportunities for discounts. Consultation: Free consultation! They explained everything in detail for me and made sure I had no questions. They did not try to pressure me into booking a surgery appointment. Procedure day: They make sure you have no questions. Offer a pill to ease you if you want it. They make sure you have the eye drops required for healing and switch out eye drops to make sure you get the best one to help heal. You wait in a room with lots of free snacks! Procedure: It only takes 10 minutes and most of the waiting is just waiting for the numbing eye drops to kick in. During the procedure, someone is giving you step-by-step narration of what's happening. The actual laser part only takes 15 seconds per eyeball. There was no pain involved but it was scary feeling the pressure push down when they did a part before the laser (can't remember what it was). I was in and out quick! Follow-up: With PRK, there is more follow up than Lasik. My eyes were slower to heal because I had really bad dry eyes. I love how they keep scheduling follow-ups to check to make sure you're healing well and adjusting eye drops as necessary. All of the doctors I've dealt with there were very nice. It took me 1.5 ish months to finally get 20/20 (because my eyes were really dry which slowed the process). Once I "graduated" because I was 20/20, I didn't need to come back anymore but they tell you that you can always call if you need anything. They prescribed me Xiidra which is prescription eye drops for my dry eyes. The doctor told me I need to take it for at least 6 months after surgery to heal but I've had issues getting pre-authorization to get my refill. My pharmacy faxed them multiple times and I had to call numerous times and no one has followed up. One of the persons on the phone was making it seem like I didn't need that eye drop anymore but I told her the doctors told me to keep taking it. I've been 1 whole month without those eye drops and my eyes have been dry a lot. Over the counter eye drops just don't cut it which is why they prescribed me this one. UPDATE: My eyesight is still good. The dry eyes subsided. Every once in a while I'll wake up with very dry eyes in which I'll drop normal eyedrops in but other than that, my eyes have been normal with no issues. read more

I ended up going elsewhere for my procedure so this review is not a reflection of the whole practice. I signed up for an exam to see if I was a good candidate first. They send a ton of informational emails once you ask for more info and I found this to be pretty helpful not knowing much about lasik. When I went in for my initial appointment they did an eye exam and told me I was a good fit for the procedure. This exam involved a few different people one after another. Once I was done, before saying I wanted to move forward and have the work done, I already had the signed prescriptions in my hands.... The sales/info person was supposed to come in last and they asked me to wait for my cost questions. I waited for close to 20 minutes and no one came so I walked out ready to go. That's when the front desk grabbed someone else to review pricing. Anyway I didn't sign up right away as I wanted to save up for the Lasik and I emailed them letting them know I was in for an exam a few months ago and wanted to confirm total cost with the various discounts and promos they offer. Instead I started getting the introductory info emails again and they just emailed the standard rates. I chose King LASIK because of customer (patient) experience. I visited a different LASIK surgery facility for a free consultant as well as King LASIK. Having surgery (especially on my eyes) is not a decision I am going to make based strictly on cost or convenience. At King LASIK my free consult included a diagnosis, 2 full exams, one while dilated and took about an hour. The diagnosis itself was more comprehensive than any other I've had with any other eye doctor. They showed me the read outs from the computer and explained the results (the health of my eyes) to me so that I could understand it. The process was thorough and I knew I was in their best interest. Every staff member was excellent. The other facility included only a simple diagnosis and almost immediately told me I was a candidate but didn't explain anything to me. I was in/out in less than 15 minutes and felt like they just wanted to get me (and as many people) scheduled. This other facility has good reviews and the staff was nice. I am sure they would do a good job, but I felt more comfortable with King. As of this post, I am 2-3 weeks post surgery, my eyes feel great and my vision is somewhere between 20/20 and 20/15. The first 6 hours post surgery (when the anesthesia wears off) are terrible. Today I still see a light glow from lights, such as street lights, tail lights, LEDs, and anything with a high contrast, similar to what you would experience with dry or extremely hydrated contacts. This has gone down over time and I have been assured that it will continue to disappear (It doesn't even bother me and I don't notice it during throughout the day). I do experience dryness, mostly in the early morning or late night. Extremely happy that I decided to have the surgery and that I chose King LASIK. read more

Having LASIK from King LASIK is one of the best decisions I've ever made! I went from being completely dependent on glasses and contacts (since I was 9) to having 20/20 vision the day after surgery! I wrestled with the option of mono-vision, and their optometrist and CEO spent a LONG time explaining the pros and cons. (See the details below.) I HIGHLY recommend King LASIK! CONSULTATION- The whole staff are very professional and knowledgeable! They run the business well, with great customer service skills and plenty of COVID precautions. I had pretty bad eyes, including an astigmatism. Like I mentioned above, the optometrist spent a long time helping me understand what the realistic outcome for mono-vision surgery is, what you gain, and what you compromise. She didn't seem rushed or bothered at all....and I brought a list of questions. After she answered everything, she said that someone named Christian would come in next to discuss the financial details. I expected a receptionist, like I had at another LASIK consultation. But he is actually the CEO/CFO. He started by making sure I understood the mechanics of the surgery and that ALL of my questions were answered well. Like the rest of his staff, he is knowledgeable, communicates well and didn't seem rushed. He and Dr. King have had LASIK surgery as well, so they also have empathy. DECIDING FACTOR: Dr. King has performed this surgery over 100,000 times and his record is outstanding! SURGERY- Before the procedure, they ran another eye exam to make sure they had it just right. Christian checked on me again. They offer a sedative to help you take a long nap when you get home. While I declined and took acetaminophen, they were supportive. It worked out well because the numbing drops the put in right before the operation make your eyes feel extremely heavy anyway. Dr. King also checked to make sure all my questions were answered. I decided to have both eyes corrected completely, and he agreed that as long as I don't mind using readers, I would be very happy with the outcome. And he was right. Dr. King completed the procedure in about 10 minutes. One of the assistants narrated as they went, so I knew exactly what they were doing, what to expect, and sometimes she counted down as they worked. Her calm voice was extremely helpful. FINANCIALLY- The price varies depending on how bad your eye sight is. They quoted me a couple hundred dollars less than the other consultation I had. That wasn't the deciding factor (on something this big) BUT their price includes FREE ENHANCEMENTS for LIFE! I discussed this at length with Christian, to make sure there weren't exceptions or such. RECOVERY- On the ride home, it was evident that the numbing drops had worn off. It burned and my eyes watered like a faucet. But I napped for a couple of hours and after waking up, I gingerly made my way though the house. While the prescription drops make your vision cloudy for a little while, I could see details from some distance and the pain was gone. The next morning, my vision was FANTASTIC and I felt confident enough to drive myself to the first follow-up appointment! IT IS AMAZING! The optometrist said that my vision was 20/20, less than 24 hours after surgery. I wish I could have had this surgery from Dr. King years ago. Had surgery 3 months ago. The surgery itself was dialed in, obviously. They have that down to a science. Fine. Great. They have not perfected the rest of the process. Particularly, they struggle with after-care. I've had multiple issues getting accurate prescriptions, the doctor was 15 minutes late to a follow-up appointment (I was first patient of the day), and I found inconsistencies in their after-care instructions. Oh, and when you're budgeting for LASIK, considerate the many rounds of expensive eye drops you may have to have after surgery. Ask them directly for generics, or they'll give you Lotemax for $50 a pop. read more

I first went to Clearly Lasik in December 2009. I wasn't sure if this would help me that much since my eyes were so bad and on top of that I had a lot of stigmatism in my right eye. That was enough for us to go in for further information and we ask about any other options to reduce out cost and they found a few more for us that made it so we could finally afford this surgery. I went in first and as everyone else says, the staff was fantastic! Friendly and answered all our questions. I had my procedure mid-December. Even though things got better overnight so I could drive my car without glasses the next day in all it took about a week before things got a lot better. I got the package they sell for free enhancements for life and after a month I was sure this was a good decision. My sight was 20/40 so it could be a little better. I don't know what my vision was before the procedure but I could not make out the "E" at the top of the eye chart. It is now almost 6 months out (The soonest you can get an enhancement) and I got it yesterday. I can see so much better even from yesterday, even my closer vision seems to be better. I would recommend Clearly Lasik to anyone. I am very happy with everything from start to finish. I will miss everyone in the office; what a crew! read more

Amazing !! I cried right after standing up from the surgery. I was so so scared going in. I had excited and nervous nerves mixed together so I don't know what I was feeling. Back to do my update. I had my surgery this morning. Again everyone in the off ice nice. They really tired to keep me calm, I was so nervous. After reading my concent again and signing, they gave me a goody bag. A mug, drops for my eyes.....and 2 Valium tablets. I was so nervous I had to take one before the procedure. Dr. See felt did my procedure. She is very nice and caring. She wanted to double check my measurements before we started. That put me at ease. Great experience with King Lasik! I had been hesitant for years regarding this surgery. After my consultation with King I scheduled my surgery the same day. They make you feel comfortable from the start, taking thorough examination of your eyes and educating you on the procedure itself. My surgery was on February 9th, am now 10 days post-op I'd say my eyes are healing as expected. Some dry eye but stay hydrated and use your drops and all will be well. Not a painful surgery in my opinion. The drops they place in your eyes just prior to the surgery eliminate any discomfort. I can see 20/15 now. Would recommend to everyone! I have perfectly fine vision, meaning I need no corrective lenses of any sort to do any thing. My husband, however, was a different story. He'd been considering LASIK for years. At our previous residence, he had looked into local doctors and talked to a couple. And then we moved. Serendipity occurred and a social deal was available for Clearly LASIK. The cost was less than what he'd been quoted when he consulted before and so he snatched up the deal. There were additional perks with the deal other than the fact that the deal saved him about $2000. Even without the deal, the regular prices are firmly in the standard range for the procedure. There are 4 levels of procedure to choose from, ranging from standard correction to individualized. The staff is exceedingly friendly. The office is swank. There's coffee, hot water, teas, cocoa, treats, and candies in the front waiting area. The waiting area is large. We went right back on surgery day. We arrived a little early to one of the follow-up visits and they got DH back as soon as possible. They did run a little late the morning of the surgery, but the pre-surgical waiting area is lovely with more treats. You do have to go back out to the front area to get more coffee and tea. In addition, the television is not connected to live tv, only DVDs. This would be fine, but the only person interested in watching a DVD movie was my son. The movies undershot his age-appropriate viewing and overshot. The movies available are for little kids under 8 or adults (not that kind of movie, you know what I mean.) With how nice everything is there, one might think they could get a little bit broader range with the DVD selection for families in the waiting room. There is a sitting area in front of the glass wall of the room where the surgery is performed. Family can sit and watch the surgery, if they can tolerate it. Our son really thought it was nifty, I could barely look. As the spouse of the actual person who had the surgery, I am pleased as punch with the service, cost, and the entire package Clearly LASIK provides. read more

I had Lasik done 4 weeks ago at the Tukwila office after wanting the surgery for about 18 years. Overall my experience was good and I would recommend it. The good: the visits were seamless, professional, and everyone was super nice. The nurses/assistants appear to be working off a script, as everyone said the same basic things in the same basic way. But it was nice and professional even if it was a little weird. They kept asking me if I was feeling okay, even though I don't think I was showing any signs of feeling otherwise, but I guess they probably deal with a lot of nervous patients. The billing guy was super nice and honored a pricing deal that he probably could have said no to. The doctors were also very nice, and they were more candid than the rest of the staff. I had a female doctor (Kathy Vuu, I think) who I met with twice (not for the surgery) and she was super happy and energetic and really gave off a nice vibe. Dr. King was also friendly and I felt good about him. The surgery was quick, went well, and recovery was mostly as expected. The burning and watering eyes were pretty intense for a few hours after the surgery and there was no way I could sleep through it, but luckily it wore off within about four hours. Sleeping with the goggles on for the first week was probably the worse part because it made it hard to sleep, but I guess they are necessary. My vision is good, maybe not perfect, but close. I'm definitely happy with the results. The bad: Scheduling was really messed up. I tried about ten times to set up a consult online but it didn't work, the page kept timing out, I never got a confirmation, etc... and I gave up. Then one day I randomly got a call saying that my appointment date needed to be changed because they were not going to be in the office. So I actually had made an appointment, but they never confirmed, and they let me schedule for when they wouldn't be there. I called and rescheduled and they were confused, saying that they didn't know why they might not be in the office on that day, but they moved me to another day anyway. This time I got a confirmation for 11:00. On the day of the appointment, I got another confirmation, this time for 11:30, but since I was already on my way, I had to sit in the car and kill half an hour. When I got there, they had no folder for me and no info about me, even though they looked all over for it. They had just moved, so some of this disorganization can be accounted for. After my appointment, I wanted to schedule my surgery, but they only had their schedule planned for three weeks out, so that made scheduling difficult. After my surgery, I needed to schedule a follow-up for 3-4 weeks out, but their schedule was again not planned out that far, so they told me they'd call me for a follow-up, which they never did. I finally called them around 3.5 weeks after the surgery, and they were able to schedule my appointment, but it's going to be six weeks out, not the 3-4 weeks that they recommended. This annoys me because I would prefer to have my follow-up when it was recommended, and it's their fault that it was no scheduled on time. Despite these scheduling issues I would still recommend them. I am happy with the results. read more

I can see without glasses now. Thanks Dr. King! I've been wanting eye surgery for over 10 years, but never had the money for it and didn't want more debt. Now that it's done, I wish I did it 10 years ago though. I found Dr. King through my Amazon employee insurance referral. I visited once for the free exam and put the surgery on the calendar that day. They said my eyes qualified for monovision, which let's 44yos like me see near with one eye and far with the other. I tried monovision contacts for a couple weeks and loved it. I rescheduled my appointment about 3 times because I was scared and found other things to get in the way on the scheduled weekends. The phone staff rescheduled me each time without question or judgment. When I arrived on surgery day, I offered to pay with Bitcoin, but they don't take it. I paid cash and got a discount though. My time in the surgery room was about 10 minutes and I was there about an hour overall. I felt safe with all the staff and Dr King. I could still see that night, went back the following day for a follow-up, and had 20/20 vision! I used to be 20/400 or -4.5. They gave me a card to remind me and police I can now drive without corrective lenses. A few days later, I had questions a little early before my 1 week scheduled follow-up. Without an appointment, I got a full exam in minutes. The staff is so nice. I can't wait to go back for my 1 month exam this Wednesday. My vision is great and I can see perfect from about 8 inches away out to infinity. When I was in my men's group last week, I noticed all 7 of the others wore readers or bifocals.
