I have nothing but good things to say about the staff that works here. Thoroughly professional and friendly. The reason that I gave four stars was because I had heard so much about Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE). Over and I heard about not needing readers. So, the first night, I couldn't read my phone, but that's to be expected. But I'm a week in now, and I can't read very well up close, and I still have halos, and blurry vision. I can see very well far away, but I'm getting concerned about the flashes of light I'm seeing in my left eye. The radio personalities who tell you that you'll never need readers, Bob Stelton, Softy Mahler, and Ian Furness, should really be held accountable Everybody tells you it's affordable, but I consider over $15,000 to be quite a lot of money. I had hoped for great results, but I will be in readers the rest of my life. I'm not thrilled about that. Just be aware that great vision is not guaranteed. Also, I should mention that while I agree the procedure is mostly painless, it was pretty uncomfortable for me. There are constant drops, and you see strange patterns and colors, and you're supposed to keep the eye being worked on open, but after a while you can't tell if it's open or closed, and there's pressure around the eye. I had ICLs put in at SharpeVision. My left eye was fine, but within a year the vision in my right eye fell off a cliff to below 20/50. Worse, it could not be corrected even with prescription lenses (before the surgery I had 20/20 vision as long as I wore prescription glasses). I went back for a follow-up with Dr. Sharpe who said I developed cataracts after the ICL. He suggested coming back for another surgery to have my natural eye lenses completely replaced! This was weird because I never heard of someone getting cataract so suddenly and severely before old age (I'm in my 40s). Reading about it independently I found that ICL surgery does indeed have a well-known complication of accelerated rates of "hypermature" cataract, especially in patients with myopia. I had cataract surgery done on one eye with a different doctor and was very unsure of the results. I sought out a second opinion with Dr Shields before moving forward with surgery on my second eye and found him to be very patient, reassuring and thoughtful. We went through all my options, and he was supportive and gave guidance. When I decided to pivot from my initial decision, he was willing to support that and went the extra mile to get the lens needed in time, without causing further delays in my recovery. While changing a surgeon mid-stream is highly unusual, I'm so glad I did, and wish I would have sought him out for my initial consult and procedure. I believe I would have had a better set of expectations for my particular situation and the healing and adjustment process. I appreciated his knowledge, guidance, kindness and sense of humor. I also found the office staff to be genuine and kind as well, you can tell they enjoy working there which says a great deal about the overall environment. I saw Dr Joseph Schmitz today in their Bellevue location. I was referred to them by my optometrist to get a procedure done to my eyes. But after all the needed exams done to my eyes he assured that I do not need that procedure now. I was very satisfied with the explanation and the over all experience being in the office there. ICL patient here I did the research, Sharpe had thousands of procedures for ICL done. I also went to King, and when it came to ICL experience they said it was "a few per week". I was quoted about $1000 more than King and they did not do price matching, but honestly, HELLA WORTH. Everything was perfect, equipment was far more professional and superior, and staff was very friendly and even offered food and drink. (Not just your usual water, actual bar). 5 Stars also because everything went perfectly, I now see clearly without my glasses starting on the 3rd day. Procedure was done in 20 min tops and the amount of pain was a 2/10, about that of getting a flu shot. They even had a dark room with very high quality message chairs for you to relax while your eyes take their first critical hour of recovery. Had an exceptional experience. I had Dr. Sharpe himself and he was absolutely phenomenal -- he's incredibly calming, and I didn't realize I needed it until the surgery started and I started to panic, but he talked me through it the entire time and helped calm me down while it was happening. Also, he tripled checked my numbers for me (redid the manual "1-or-2" eye test) because he saw some discrepency on the charts and that meant the world to me. I'm giving 2 stars because my initial appointment was fine (nothing special, but nothing bad). We discussed at my appointment that the monovision solution would likely be the best surgical option for me, so I requested for them to order me monovision contacts so I could make sure that it worked for me before moving ahead with the surgery. My initial/consultation appointment was over a month ago and I've since left 3 voicemails for them inquiring about the status of the contacts; however, I've had no response from them at all. I would actually expect them to initiate a follow up call just from my appointment, but seeing as how they aren't returning my calls, that apparently seems to be too high of an expectation. The last message I left said it would be the last time I reached out if I did not hear back, and that was 3 days ago. At this point, I'm not expecting to ever hear back from anyone, so I will unfortunately have to start all over with another Lasik company. UPDATE 10/2/24: They called me about a week after I left this review saying my contacts were in. Not sure if that's a coincidence(?). I'm now left unsure if I'm going to move forward with them. The administration side is not the same as the doctor/procedure side and this office was recommended to me, but I'm finding it tough to get past the lack of customer care. I know they operate like a cog system, but these are my only eyes and I want to be confident about the person and company that I'm allowing to surgically alter them. read more

In general, I still rate SharpeVision highly in terms of the facility, medical care, etc. However, I wanted to update this review for anyone who may be considering LASIK. I had my procedure in March 2017 and as of late 2020, I'm back in contacts and glasses full time. That's not the fault of SharpeVision; there is always a risk of poor vision returning and I do tend to always fall into that unlucky small percent. My issue is that I underwent LASIK - and paid hundreds of additional dollars for a lifetime guarantee - believing I could get an enhancement if my vision ever deteriorated. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. I revisited SharpeVision to look into an enhancement. I spent an hour going through an entire vision exam, only to be told at the end that I'm a great candidate for an enhancement (yay!) - but they no longer do them for LASIK so my only option is an entire PRK surgery (not yay). Apparently, lifting the flap again post-LASIK runs the risk of irregular cell growth. Fair - I don't want that. I would, however, have preferred to have been told ahead of time that the only enhancement available to me would be PRK. Because I'm not interested in PRK, I wouldn't have spent time at an appointment and I wouldn't have had my hopes up. At the end of the day, it's not the biggest deal. Yes, I wish I hadn't spent thousands on eye surgery only to now have to spend thousands on glasses and contacts for *the rest of my life*. But I'm not sure how clear the lifetime guarantee information is nowadays, so I want to make sure folks are aware that if LASIK doesn't work for you (which it might not - yes it's rare but I'm proof it happens), you won't actually be able to get it fixed without a much more painful & intensive surgery. Again, I'd recommend SharpeVision still if someone was set on corrective surgery. I'm just not sure I'd actually recommend someone get LASIK at all. ‍ read more

I didn't get lasik yet, but I have hopes. Had my consult a few weeks ago, it was grand. Scheduled the Lasik procedure for today, June 14th. I checked in, super nervous. Signed all my forms, still nervous, now shaking. Doctor Sharpe's voice and the staff at SharpeVision continued to calm and soothe me. I was at the SharpeVision office for almost two hours before we all determined that my anxiety and muscle movements were not going to allow for the procedure to be completed safely. When I'm able to overcome my anxiety about this, I'll be back. I could not have asked for a more supportive environment. Everything here is set to put my mind at ease.... Got my ICL surgery a few months ago and I'm kicking myself I didn't do it sooner. Super easy to get in, support staff all very nice and easy to communicate with. Dr. Sharpe was very thorough in explaining options and next steps. Follow up was easy to coordinate as well. Only downside was that in a couple of my follow up appointments, the providers who support him were running super behind. I've had a pretty minor prescription for near-sightedness my whole life. When I was in 8th grade, I was sitting in the back of the room and asked someone to help me see what homework was written on the board. They were surprised, and that's when I finally realized that my vision was in fact not normal. Shortly after, I got contact lenses and stepping out of the fitting room was life changing: I could see the world how it was supposed to be seen. Literally one day after getting LASIK, I'm reminded about the first day I could see after getting contact lenses, because it's almost as life changing as it was in 8th grade. I obviously have some healing to go, but my vision today is even better than it was when I had contact lenses. Gone are the days of worrying about whether I packed my contact lens solution and cases for vacations, and as minor as this may seem, waking up and being able to see without the morning contact lens routine is really incredible. I'm sure this will become normal one day, but I keep looking out the window at the buildings across from me just because they look so clear. As far as Dr. Sharpe goes, I couldn't be happier with him or his office staff (also, isn't his name just perfect?). Everyone is incredibly friendly, professional, and reassuring. The office is spotless, brand new, and provides a bunch of amenities (coffee, tea, etc.) for those waiting. The day of the procedure they provide valium to calm you down, but Dr. Sharpe really is not joking when he says he will walk you through every step. Literally every phase of the procedure he told me exactly what I would feel, see, and smell (yes, you can smell your cornea being reshaped), and perfectly on time with when things would happen. His countdown to when each step was done gave a great sense of reassurance. For those worried about the procedure, this was personally one of the easiest medical procedures I've been through. No offense to my dentist, but I much prefer LASIK to getting teeth sealants (let alone fillings). This will of course depend on your prescription and individual self, but I personally experienced zero pain. The worst part is the antibiotic drops which you use for the week after the procedure, which sting for a couple seconds after putting them in. But the procedure itself was perfectly painless and not once was I worried I was going to "accidentally" blink (they have something to hold your eyes open, but you cannot feel it), nor did I even have the urge to blink. It might seem stupid, but this was the part I was worried about the most and it was completely a non-issue. Roughly speaking, the whole time in the OR felt like it was maybe 5 minutes. Based on what they told me beforehand, it probably was actually longer than this, but the procedure is REALLY quick. As far as ROI on your time-to-benefit ratio (yes, it's still an expensive procedure, one day I hope the tech can go down in cost so everyone can experience this), LASIK is one of the best choices I've ever made. Dr. Sharpe and his staff and top notch, and I highly encourage you to get a consultation from him if you are considering LASIK for yourself. Like I said, I still have some healing to go and my vision may adjust a little bit over time, but I am hopeful based on these initial results and I am confident that Dr. Sharpe's office will take care of any concerns I have. read more

This place is really great - I came here to get a consult but with my doctor's help, we ultimately decided that at this time, Lasik/eye correction surgery is probably not the right move for me. I really appreciated my doctor's transparency and honesty, and I think that it's a great sign of a reputable place if they're willing to turn away potential patients and recommend alternative treatment options. Basically, my family has a history of flatter corneas and thin corneas (which my doctor made sure to take a note of) before inspecting my eyes. She really listened to my concerns and was patient, friendly, and most of all, attentive. She didn't rush through the exam and was really intentional about listening to all my concerns. After all the different exams we did, the eye doctor concluded that because my corneas are on the flatter side, it probably would be better to do ICL. The eye doctor said I could probably find a doctor who would be willing to do Lasik, but it might not be the best treatment option for me. I so appreciated her honesty! She was also kind enough to mention that it's not an absolute no for Lasik, and that she would be more than happy to check in with Dr. Sharpe himself before approving the surgery, but she wanted to lay out my different options for me. Because I was most interested in Lasik, she asked if I would want their team to give me a call back in 6 months to check in instead - follow up is really important and I didn't feel rushed or pressured in any way. Overall, I had a great experience at this place even though I ended up not getting Lasik. I think it's really important that doctors put patient's needs first and foremost, and Sharpevision definitely demonstrated that. Had an appointment to determine price/fees and lens for a cataract surgery. The center would not give out information without a paid "Comprehesive Oph Exam NEW PT". Note the "NEW PT" when I had already been seen there more than 3 years ago. Center's "will meet competitor's price" guarantee didn't apply to cataract surgery. Was billed for $499.65 for the "Compre Oph exam" which was paid by my insurances. In addition, was billed for "Determine Refractive State" for $61.14, which has to be paid by patient. Patient did NOT request for refractory exam and did NOT receive prescription for glasses. The technician did NOT do a detailed exam for glasses prescription and the provider/ophthalmologist did NOT review or examine patient to confirm any refractory numbers. Unwarranted and fraudulent add-on to billings are common nowadays. But I don't expect this from a "respectable" establishment. If the insurance were to pay for the refractory exam, this would have gone under the radar. Scrutinize your statements carefully, insurance shouldn't be paying for services not requested or provided. read more

Initial Exam-My daughter had an apt at 2:30 pm we arrived with the documents prefilled and found one chair available. Like others have said in other reviews, beautiful lobby. We had the opportunity to sit in it for an hour. I wish they had called us to warn us of the wait time. They stated they were understaffed by three people, totally understandable just call us and let us know so we come later. The testing assistant was awesome, and Dr. Mock did a very thorough job answering all of our questions. They have the process down very well. So it felt a bit bland and impersonal. But they tried to smile through in an expedited fashion. Surgery day- On surgery day we arrived, paid and I waited in the car. We came on a Monday because it was a slower day, and it was not crowded. My daughter was out in less than 15 mins. She said that it was very uncomfortable but that the doctor was very comforting and explained everything before he did it. She has anxiety so this really helped her. She came home and slept for 12 - 15 hours. She still has some blurriness and we hope it will go away in a few weeks. I marked off one star for the lack of customer service at the exam, could have valued our time, and called to let us know to come later. Otherwise, so far so good. read more

I wanted to wait a year before I posted my review. FREE CONSULATION: I've been thinking about getting LASIK for a good 3-4 years but I always found ways to talk myself out of it. After hearing all the positive feedback from my coworkers on how life changing LASIK was for them, I thought it was time for me to pull the trigger and so I look up the most reviewed vision correction facility in the greater Seattle area which lead me to Sharpe Vision. I scheduled my free consultation on 1/28/21 and the staff were super friendly! During the 90 minute consultation, they do a very thorough comprehensive eye exam to make sure you're eligible for LASIK / PRK / ICL. Dr. Sharpe and his staff were able to answered all my questions and concerns about the entire process. I walked out of the facility feeling very confident that if I wanted to proceed with the LASIK procedure then I would want to get it done here. PROCEDURE DAY: I scheduled my procedure on 2/3/21. They did another thorough comprehensive eye exam to make sure there weren't any major changes in my vision from the time of my consultation. Dr. Sharpe did an AMAZING job walking me through every step in the process and gave me the reassurance I needed to ensure that my health was in good hands. Although the procedure was uncomfortable in terms of the abnormal pressure on your eyes and seeing the entire process, it wasn't painful at all since they numb your eyes. The procedure itself was less than 6 minutes (my vision was -3 in both eyes)! When I woke up at ~9 PM, I received a text message from Dr. Sharpe himself checking in on me to make sure I was ok post-surgery. It was amazing that in less than 12 hours I can actually SEE without relying on my glasses! AFTER PROCEDURE:  They ask you to come in one day post-surgery to do a quick eye check. I was so happy to hear that I have 20/20 vision! They also inform you that your eyes will gradually heal over a 6+ month time frame. In addition, at the 1 month post-surgery mark you'll receive a call from the Sharpe Vision Chicago branch if you have any lingering questions or concerns that wasn't addressed during the consultation and/or the procedure. One minor improvement: I would like to suggest to the team that they do an in-person checkup instead of a phone call check-in to see if you're still seeing 20/20. DISCLAIMER: At the 8 month mark (some time in October), I used my benefits to check if I still have 20/20 vision. The doctor that I went to (outside of Sharpe Vision) informed me that my vision slightly got worse but it's barely noticeable. I'll give this doctor the benefit of the doubt since 1.) It was my first time getting an eye exam from her and 2.) I could have been assessed incorrectly at the time. Regardless of the eye assessment at the 8 month mark, I'm still very satisfied with my LASIK experience from Sharpe Vision as I acknowledge that LASIK can't prevent aging. OVERALL: It's been one year post-LASIK and I'm so grateful that I'm not seeing life with -3 vision! Vision correction surgery has been life changing for me that 1.) I no longer need to rely on my glasses to see and 2.) I see better post-LASIK compared to when I wore glasses. I got my lasik done here with Dr. Sharpe on 2/2023. I wanted to give time to see how I would heal and give my honest opinion before leaving a review so here it is: 100% I highly recommend lasik if you are debating on getting it done. Every review is true when they say the only regret is not doing it sooner!!! I've been wanting to get lasik the last 5 years, but I was too scared to do it, but after having one of my best friends get it done here & truly raving about being able to see again I decided to commit and just proceed with the surgery! Dr. Sharpe and his team were truly so helpful and made sure I was informed about every part of the process during the procedure. It seriously goes by so quick! The actual procedure takes less than 10 mins for both eyes. The waiting time before that to wait for the meds to kick in to start was what took the longest. There was absolutely no pain for me the only discomfort I felt was just the pressure of the instrument pushing on to my eye that kept it opened. Other then that it was fine for me. I came in with astigmatism with -2.75, and -2.50 vision and left being able to see immediately with 20/15 vision. 5 months later my only issue is I still get super dried eyes to where my vision gets a little bit blurry but if I keep lubricating my eyes and keep it moist it goes away. (This doesn't happen often but just sometimes. It's not a big issue for me yet as I can still see but I'm still waiting for a full year to see if I need a touch up). If you're still hesitant just book the appointment! My life has been so much easier with not worrying about my glasses fogging up or getting wet in the rain, and of course the hassle of wearing contacts and taking it out at night. This place changed my life!!!!! I was recommended to this place to get ICL because my astigmatism is way too high and my corneas too thin for Lasik and PRK. ICL was my best option. I set up the consultation appointment. It was a very thorough consultation. I was happy about that considering I was coming from a different clinic that was not thorough at all and wasted my time. They did several tests and were very kind and knowledgeable. The doctor answered all my questions and I had many. I was told I do qualify for ICL! I had a pre-op appointment with the surgeon himself, Dr. Sharpe. He also answered all my questions. He was patient, kind and very knowledgeable. He explained everything in a way that I understood. The day of the surgery I was understandably nervous, they gave me a Valium but really it was the staff's constant reassurance that calmed me down. Dr. Sharpe talked to me throughout the procedure. He was calming and patient with me. His assistants in the OR were just as calming. They constantly spoke to me, explaining what they were doing and reassured me that everything was going well. After the surgery, Dr. Sharpe walked me to the lobby where my husband was waiting. He also texted me later to see how I was feeling which I really appreciated. There was a 2hr follow up, next day follow up, next week follow up and I have a month follow up coming up. Like I said, this place is very thorough. Be very careful when you come here and ask all the questions. After my examination for LASIK, the optometrist told me that my eye is -0.75, which means I'm under -1.0. Their website offers $495 if you are under -1.0. When I sit with what they called the closer, she said is $2.1k, then I asked why if the optometrist said $495 , she said he got confuse because we work in other clinic. When I confronted her with the website information then she said that is because I had LASIK before. I asked her, the website doesn't not said that. So she don't have other option to say that she have to talk with her supervisor. Be careful sketchy business here. read more

We got there and receptionist told us we had the wrong address, even though they gave us that address and sent us down the road. After 30 minutes and several people trying to help us we were still not able to find the facility. We canceled the appointment based on the difficulty of finding the doctor. If your front desk had such a difficult time communicating where we were to go we could only imagine the lack of communication for us as possible clients. It Was unnerving. TLDR; Dr Balani approved me for ICL surgery without examining my eyes or speaking with me at all. I went in 2 weeks ago for my first consultation to evaluate my candidacy for ICL. Dr Kim affirmed I would be a candidate for ICL dependent upon 2 conditions: 1, obtaining retinal clearance from a retinal specialist due to extremely high myopia, and 2, confirmation that my vision/prescription had stabilized due to decades of wearing GP lenses. I have no complaints with this first appointment; the doctor was prompt and informative. He created a care plan that I felt comfortable pursuing. I went in today for my follow up - it should have been a quick appointment, no dilation needed and just a stability check (Galilei + refraction). I arrived early for my appointment but ended up waiting for an hour and 15 minutes before walking out without seeing the scheduled doctor. During this time, there were no reasons/excuses/updates offered for this delay. After leaving the office without seeing the doctor, I received a call from the front desk saying Dr Balani had determined I was an excellent candidate for ICL without examining me or speaking to me at all. The front desk did not provide any explanation why Dr Balani believed I was an excellent candidate without examining my eyes and immediately asked to schedule my pre-op appointment to take measurements for my ICL. Again, Dr Balani never completed a refractive exam to confirm that my vision had stabilized, nor did she check my retinas or inquire if I had seen a retinal specialist as directed previously. I'm surprised this isn't considered malpractice, and it's impossible to understand why Dr Balani wants to move forward with ICL without an exam the first doctor deemed as necessary. Given the unprofessionalism of the office and the distrust that was created by Dr Balani, I will not be proceeding with any type of treatment here. I understand I'm one of hundreds of patients to them, but it's critical to me that due diligence is completed. read more

The entire staff was very professional, responsive and kind. The center itself is clean and has a calming atmosphere. I was super nervous about LASIK eye surgery and after just one consultation visit to SharpeVision, I was calm and excited for my surgery. I felt that the staff members truly care and appreciate for ever patient that walks in. Longer-Term Update... About 3 years post-op I had a touch up on one eye about a year after my initial procedure. Thankfully, they added gabapentin to the pre-op mix and that eased the pain from almost unbearably painful to "I can maintain a sane demeanor" painful. So, take the gabapentin or whatever "nerve block" option they offer if you're doing PRK. As someone who's done it both ways, I would hands down take the gabapentin again. Due to COVID, I haven't been to an eye doctor recently, hoping to get in soon as my yearly check up is coming due. I can still see very well without corrective lens and I'm still happy with the results. I still suffer from dry eyes but it's manageable with all the various drops available on the market (you'll have to find what works best for you and your eyes). If I'm lazy about using the night time gel the dry eyes worsen and I suffer for it later (some pain and blurrier vision) but am able to manage it when I get back on schedule again. It's really wonderful not having to worry about contacts or glasses when I'm backpacking and camping or just going on vacation. I just pack a few bottles of drops and I'm good to go. I don't regret my decision but I think if you're on the fence, you should weigh the pros and cons carefully. After all is said and done, this is elective surgery and only you can make that decision for you. If you cannot live with the possibility of having imperfect vision, you should NOT consider surgery. With any surgery, there are no guarantees and you may not have the results that others have. Working with medical devices I am keenly aware of when things go wrong as I have had to research and report on this many time. With this information I was prepared for a less than ideal outcome (not saying I wouldn't have been upset, but I knew that it was possible no matter what service provider you choose) and chose to go ahead with the procedure anyway. BONUS info: I had "cornea for days" when I got my procedure done and they were able to take off a significant amount to correct for my terrible eyesight. I'm convinced that the thickness of my cornea protected me from the negative effects of cutting onions (tearing and crying and being miserable). I was always the designated onion cutter in the house but after the surgery I cry and am miserable just like everyone else. Seeing is believing! Officially a 4 eyed person for over 25 years but not anymore!!!! Dr. Sharpe provided me with better than perfect vision. I waited to provide this review (lasik was performed in February of 2016) and as of today (February 2017 I have 20/15 vision. The office, doctor and the services provided are pristine. I visited Sharpe Vision for screening for laser vitreolysis treatment for eye floaters. I would like to mention ahead of time that my eye floaters are not that severe and doesn't impair my vision; so it was more to get an idea about what the doctors feel about the possible option of treating eye floaters with laser. My overall experience was somewhat mixed and my detailed feedback is below. The individuals at the front desk told me that Dr. Sharpe will examine you, talk with you in person and give his recommendations. I asked multiple times if Dr. Sharpe will see me in person as usually the screening tests are done by optometrists/technicians and they said yes. As expected, I never met Dr. Sharpe during my visit. Now coming to my experience with optometrists/technicians, my detailed feedback is below: 1) They first dilated my eyes and later on went on to check my eye vision (Snellen chart). I was a bit surprised as vision is usually blurry after dilation; I am wearing glasses for over 40 years and have never done Snellen chart test after dilation. The optometrist mentioned to me that my eye prescription might be quite different from my current glasses which was a bit surprising as my prescription has remained constant for 20+ years. I followed this up with 2 comprehensive eye exams (with 2 different optometrists) and both of them confirmed that my prescription is the same as my glasses (can read 20/20 with each eye, even though I have high myopia). 2) During my dilated eye exam, the optometrist mentioned to me that I have possible drusen in my left eye. This was a bit scary to me as the last time I did my eye exam with retinal imaging, the feedback was my eyes were healthy and to follow up with the eye exam every 2 years. So, I requested both the optometrist/opthalmologist I visited to do a 3D OCT scan. Both of them confirmed that I don't have drusen in my eyes and asked me why I thought that I have drusen. On the positive side, the optometrist at Sharpe Vision did suggest me to do a 3D OCT scan to ascertain the size of the possible drusen. 3) My eye pressure that was reported to me me at Sharpe Vision was quite different (and much higher) than eye pressure reported in the other 2 places. I understand eye pressure can vary with time and that can be the case here (though this much variation is not common based on the feedback I got during comprehensive eye exam/s). 4) I got feedback on having cataract in my eyes from the optometrist at Sharpe Vision and this was also different from the feedback during my comprehensive eye exam/s (they said its nothing to be concerned about). Overall, this is my impression about Sharpe Vision: i) Dr. Sharpe is very experienced with Lasik/PRK but he won't do the screening and you will probably meet him only if you proceed with surgery. This is not unusual but I will expect the front desk personnel to state it clearly. ii) If ever I do any laser surgery of my eyes anywhere, I will do a comprehensive eye exam prior to that so that I am fully certain about my eye health. The feedback I got from the optometrist at Sharpe Vision was misleading at times. iii) Very few doctors in US specialize in laser vitreolysis and not that many doctors have lot of experience with this treatment. In case I ever consider doing laser vitreolysis for treating eye floaters, I will select someone who has significant experience with laser vitreolysis and does it regularly. read more

I've long desired LASIK, but my unstable vision and high astigmatism initially ruled me as not being a candidate for lasik. Thanks to Sharpe Vision and their cutting-edge technology, I finally underwent the procedure. I scheduled the surgery three weeks after my first visit, and despite my nerves, the team assured me it would be quick and easy. On the surgery day, Dr. Kim conducted a brief checkup, provided relaxing medication, and Dr. Sharpe administered numbing drops before and after the procedure. His detailed explanation and reassuring manner made the entire process comfortable. The best part? It was painless, and I could see immediately, even though some cloudiness was expected.
