I'd like to give a huge shout-out to Russell & Joey in the meat department at King Kullen in Wantagh. The Thursday before the snow storm my sister called to tell me King Kullen in Massapequa was running low on meat. I left work at 5:20 headed straight to KK in Wantagh not knowing what to expect. I was so relieved and impressed when I got to the meat department- Russell and Joey had the cases fully stocked with plenty of chicken, meat, pork and more. They were also incredible during COVID, consistently keeping the cases filled when so many stores were struggling with shortages. Their hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. Thank you, Russell and Joey for always going above and beyond!! You both truly make a difference! read more

Close to my house so it's convenient. People who shop King Kullen aren't going there for price they go there because they are always slow and checkout lines are quick. I shop the add for some value and that's it. For the most part the employees are not very engaging. Deli service is like their doing you a favor and they have a cashier who sits on a walker between customers and never says hello or thank you . read more

King Kullen in Wantagh NY off Wantagh Ave on west side of street. They are across the street from St Francis Church. As the one in Levittown had closed I stopped in for one item of which they didn't have and ended up buying other things on the list. I noted in the window ad that they have helium and will not only fill balloons bought from them but from other locations as well. (See pix) . Their flyer has a QR for catering info. There's a store directory map inside. E bikes are not permitted in store or lobby. There is a bottle redemption area outside. They honor double manufacture coupons up to and including a dollar. There are wagons available outside and a gocart chair for the handicapped.Roses for sale are in front of aisle along with a chart of their color meanings. They are now hiring. read more

One of the nastiest ladies I have ever encountered at the self checkout in Wantagh. She was extremely hostile for no reason - she seemed angry having to come over the to the machine. The younger teens are nice here but this older lady has severe issues. read more

This review is for the Wantagh location. It seems like it's run by kids. The managers are always working hard stocking the shelves but there doesn't seem to be any supervision of the employees. I usually go to the self service area. The young guy (maybe a teen?) supervising is always laughing and joking around with one of the cashiers (also a young guy, with long hair and a LOUD voice). They're yelling back and forth. Sometimes an older woman with blonde hair who is on her break joins them in laughing and talking. And when an old lady has a 24 pack of water to checkout, it would be nice for one of the young guys to offer to either scan it or pick it up for her. The other day a security guy from the store came over and was speaking to the young guy about something he did wrong. Another day I went to a cashier and she was standing looking at her phone while the customer ahead of me was packing her bags. I took out my Stop & Shop card by mistake and showed it to the cashier and she went "uhhhhh..." and made a face. I jokingly said, "Oops, this isn't Stop & Shop." No reaction from her. I guess she could hardly wait to get back to her phone. read more

The supermarket is so weird. It always feels like I'm in the twilight zone when I walk in here, but today was even worse. Immediately upon entering it smells funky, but then you get into the store and it smells even worse. I know a dead mouse or rat when I smell one and that for sure definitely smells like a dead animal of some sort over by the cold cut counter. Yikes probably the last time I'll go in here. I can't forget this experience. read more

It's a King Kullen. They sell groceries. Most of their prices are good. This one also sells flowers. Bring your own bags, though they have paper bags available (with no handles because why would they?). Decent location, small-ish parking lot, but not too crowded on a Friday. read more

...and a year later, the store seems a bit cleaner, the aisles a bit more accessible. The deli is quicker, but I will no longer buy seafood...wish the seafood guy was back. Mike that packs out product is always helpful and friendly. The flower lady needs to keep her religious views to herself while at work (this was a few months ago). The older woman that's been there forever putting things on the shelf needs a major attitude adjustment. And last, and the reason for lowering my rating...Conner. Lose this guy and his snide aside remarks, talking up anything female, and general junior high charisma. read more

I love this grocery store, one of the things I love is they have that thing where you can order from the deli on this self service kiosk thing and continue your shopping while the deli is cutting your cold cuts and getting whatever salads you want. They call your number when uts done and you go pick it up. No huge line waiting for the cold cuts, thats huge!! Love it!! Also, they never run out of sale items and the workers there are really nice. The store manager, Ed, is very helpful and there meats are always fresh. Great place to food shop!! read more

This is a great grocery store to shop at because the food is always fresh! Meats, veggies, fish, and salads are all great, making it a perfect store for one stop shopping! I love that they have the deli kiosk where I can order my cold cuts first and by the time I am done shopping they are ready....no line!! Ed is a great manager and is always helpful! They double coupons up to a dollar! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it does tend to be more expensive than other grocery stores. I had a bizarre experience with one employee late yesterday afternoon ( 1/21/21 , around 5:15 -5:30 PM ) , someone who should find employment elsewhere , but generally , the kids employed here are exceptionally hard working , VERY considerate , and pleasant to deal with . Because supermarket patrons now use big canvas shoppers which often go from the counter to the pavement , and visa versa , I hold on to my little shopper and simply have the checkout kid hand the purchases directly back to me . That was no problem yesterday , but the counter I used was next to the empty self serve , and the very attractive 35ish gal working it had nothing better to do than flirt with the young man scanning my 7 items . She found it very funny when I dug into my pocket (trying to grab my credit card instead of the driver's license I had just used at Levittown Library ) , turning away and giggling . I returned from my car to check two things for later shopping : if the store had SnapDragon apples , which few other places carry , and if Progresso Soup was on sale . Walking out again , empty handed , the idiot looked at me ( the self serve area was again , empty of customers ) and giggling , turned to the young man she was trying to impress . THIS IS NOT A JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL , IT'S A SUPERMARKET ! At 65 , and a retired special ed teacher , I'll be ready for the jackass ( about 5'4" , shoulder length dark hair ) next time around ; hopefully , the young guy working the register will give her the love and attention she apparently lacks ........ The Stop and Shop two miles away , at Jerusalem and 107 , had about 3 times as many patrons , self serve being quite busy........ Maybe management here could learn a few things ? read more

I went to this store on my way home from work. There was a lady standing outside with a young boy with a sign asking for money. I went inside and looked for the manager. Nobody checks expiration dates in this store. I shop here 1-2 times a week and I tend to usually find one of the items I'm buying to be expired. I made a comment to one of the deli guys when I was buying meat and he just shrugged his shoulders. read more

Ruptured my tire the other day when my car was lost to a crater pot hole at king kullen wantagh. Despite this I continued in to shop strictly based on proximity to my home. My wife and I have complained to staff numerous times about the filthy produce section. The three things that are certain in life, death, taxes and horrible selection of produce in this king kullen. Big , clean, open 24 hrs most days. Great soup to go, reasonable fish prices, nice deli guys but the prices r a bit high..meat prices are typically very high but the butchers are wonderful there..except for their specials the fruit & veg prices are usually high..eggs expensive ..fresh fish prices are mostly reasonable..I don't like their BBQ chickens ..& don't usually use their bakery though they make a pretty nice cake. It's the closest supermarket to me & shop there for that reason I just wish they didn't upmarket their meats to the point they do but it's a unionized store from what I understand which is unusual in this day and age..so prices are what they are. If I need to run out for a few things it's the closest supermarket with a very nice staff..oh & the bottle area for returns is in a separate room always kept very clean & tidy cash coins instead of tickets, I like that..& not far from the main store doors. read more
