My wife came out of the store and was upset & shaken. Apparently a wagon back was loose, fell apart and a bottle of sauce shattered glass and sauce on her white $60 sketchers. They are ruined and her foot got slightly hurt. The manager kinda cared but this is 100% unacceptable. I am thinking of suing them. What a horrible store. Beyond awful customer service. My first time in this store (after being bought out), I went from aisle to aisle looking for cookies for a party and couldn't find them, asked the boy with long died hair that couldn't get off his phone what aisle they were in, the response I got was "the one with the cookies in them." Seriously? OK. Thanks for the obnoxious, smart-ass "answer." The sign for the aisle didn't even have anything like printed on it, so maybe get your act together? The customer service is terrible. The older manager was nasty and incompetent. She was condescending when speaking to not only me but other customers. Laughable thing about her is that she was incorrect with her information she didn't know where things were and she's managing the place. Are you kidding me? I had to show her where things were and pricing. And then, even after that, she didn't even help me she made me come back the next day Came back the next day and unfortunately she was there and it was a few of us waiting at customer service and she was frazzled and she didn't help any of us I've seen 17-year-olds do this job and meanwhile Stop & Shop has adults that can't. There are nice people that work there but when you actually need help, it has to get passed on to a manager unfortunately They can't do anything without a computer, God forbid they make a mistake and helpdesk is closed. When i tried to go in and grab a disability cart I was told rudely to get up even tho i had a sprained ankle, as i mentioned, I was still denied the cart. I also found mold on some yellow packaged squash and other vegetables, really not the best experience coming here read more

Staff are obnoxious. Came in tonight and they are unpacking boxes, dropping huge containers everywhere blocking entire aisles. Even better, staff throw items across aisles while you shop nearly hitting you with random items. Its chaos and disgusting! I came to compliment the young man at the register, Jacob. He was polite quick and helpful while we were packing bags. I am surprised to see all the negative comments about the location. I have always found it clean, and well stocked. Staffing is short at night, but in line with all the other options. I would like to see the fish shop staffed better. When I need help everyone is willing and polite. The fruit & veggies are always fresh. The sales are also in line with the competition. read more

I usually come for convenience knowing this store doesn't always have everything. I went around 11:30 and stood at the fish counter for 10 mins without a soul in sight. I then went over to the deli section and the girl said she didn't know to ask a woman walking by. I chased her down and then suddenly a younger kid comes behind the counter. When I asked him which salmon was wild or farmed he said he didn't know. I then ordered the salmon regardless and when I asked him to cut it he said he had no idea how to. I'm not blaming the kid because obviously they are short staffed but it was frustrating to come on a Saturday and have this experience. read more

This grocery store is well located on Merrick Road. The signage is large and well lit to aid in finding it. The parking lot is large and well lit but is shared with a couple stores on the far side of the parking lot. In the parking lot they have stations to put your cart away and to grab a cart before you get to the store. Once you walk inside you have produce straight ahead with meat to the rear. To the right you have household goods and to the left regular groceries, customer service, and checkout lines. To the far left you have baked goods, frozen goods, and dairy. To the far left rear you have the deli and seafood. I went the day before a snow storm and you would think they would have bread, eggs, paper towels, and water. They had not of those items at all. The best thing about this place is the conviene to home and some organic offerings. read more

This is by far the most outdated, dirtiest, and disgusting stop and shop I have ever been to. This location needs to be updated and renovated immediately. They have a grand total of 2 self check outs and the lines are always ridiculously long. Shelves are constantly empty, and the general layout of the store sucks. I strongly recommend not coming to this location. Stick with shop rite or any other local grocery store. Would get 0 stars if possible. read more

I bought a combination of turkey and american cheese, 1lb each in a bag on January 22nd, 2019 from S/S in Seaford NY. When I opened it up to give to my children, there were two..literally..two nasty, very large... what appeared to be pubic hairs in the american cheese!! I GUESS its better than the crappy Pathmark that was here before. Their produce is slightly better, with a little bigger organic section, so I can appreciate that. They do a good job of keeping the place clean, and the people that work on the floor are really great. I gotta say though, there is one teller who is just awful. She's always working, and she literally is always complaining. When they were closing from Pathmark she would spend all of her time talking about the changes that were going to be made, and now that the changes are all made she spends all of her time complaining about coupons, machines, things being different...you name it, she is bitching about it. I also find it very annoying when they ring up all my stuff, and I do the majority of the bagging...and they don't say thank you. I dont know why but it really gets under my skin. Maybe its the lack of common courtesy, maybe its because I'm trying to be helpful...don't be rude. read more

This store had to be the worst. Besides running out of whatever they have on sale. They never have MY necessaries, 1% milk, lemonade, iced teas (which is normally on sale every week), bread, meats, etc. I spoke to a "manager" a few times and was told "I wasn't aware of any issues with lack of product". I asked if they can order extra of the iced teas. It doesn't matter if I go at the beginning of the sale (or week) or at the end, shelves are NEVER stocked. I don't understand, there isn't a shortage (I go to a different stop and shop and they have plenty) Maybe they need a new management staff...... read more

Went shopping today and bought this Purdue Oven-stuffer to make for dinner tonight. Usually i have no problems with the meat i buy from here but when i was cutting the chicken me and my kids found this is the middle. Im disgusted we threw the whole thing out. Wanted to do an update. They now have baby sized brown bags that are the cheapest quality possible. I've never seen a bag so small. It looks like something you would get at 711. They rip the second you put more than 2 lbs in it. If you are doing a large shopping it takes like 100 of them. When bagging it yourself it takes forever. This is always the case. I have never had anybody offer or be waiting to bag my groceries there. It's always fend for yourself. It's ridiculous. To skimp on bags just shows that they literally do not care about anything other than the money. Once you pay for it they don't give a shit how you get it home. Here, take this child sized piece of garbage bag and do it yourself. read more

The hours say they close at 12am but the employees close the doors earlier than that some days, sometimes even 45 minutes early.

I love the pharmacists at Stop & Shop, Lenny and Mary. They are so caring,efficient and personable. I have been going here for many years for our prescriptions and they are wonderful; I really can't say enough great things about them! I highly recommend this pharmacy. read more

I use the pharmacy in here every month. Penny is absolutely fantastic with his job as a pharmacist l. He goes above and beyond to help, answer questions with a smile (even when I ask a million lol). He makes sure you have all you need, always asks how I am, how my family is, etc. The younger woman is nice when she wants to be, the older lady, well, not so pleasant. Other than that if it were possible to give more than 5 stars I would put an endless amount! Thank you Lenny! You truly go above and beyond and I always like to pick up my meds when you are there! Disgrace to Stop & Shop company. This one is the worst. I understand they just opened recently, but so unorganized and very poorly managed. Constantly moving things around, can't find anything. Not enough check out lanes open. A lot of extra shelves with products in isles and not easy to pass with a cart. NOT ENOUGH ORGANIC OFFERINGS. The staff is completely careless. If you ask them to locate an item, they won't know and won't care to help you. One time, after scanning my items at check-out, the cashier just left his station and left me packing my stuff. Ever since it was changed from a Pathmark prices have increased and inventory hasn't been restocked in time. Especially the meat section. I never use Yelp, but went out of my way to make an account to write a review for this place. You see new employees every time you go there because they keep cycling out. Everyone working there looks like they're ready to put a gun in their mouth and with the way it's run I can understand why. Besides that on multiple cases I've seen meats expired(by well over a couple days), disorganization, there were times where there wasn't even any water. Who doesn't have water. read more

it is just like pathmark but just stop n shop name on the building. it is too crowded and felt very ghetto and not clean I rather go to the one in Levittown which is cleaner and nicer. also they need to clean up the bathrooms more very unhealthy and un clean. read more
