Lost weight from the food because their protein ratio is higher than the fat ratio. They also don't have sugar filled meat like the corpos. This along with fasting and eating here every other day helped me slim down from a 36 to 35 ish and this is ontop of walking 20 miles a day. The owner is a really nice guy and does hook it up if you consistently eat there. The lion does not concern himself with beef prices. read more

Prices are way too high. I wanted a gyro salad and the price was $20. I ordered the gyro instead and it was $13. No great shakes. Something weird about the tea in the drink dispenser. I was here at noon. Three other people. No drive up business. Oh, and they still have a hard plastic covid barrier in front of the cash register. Mr. Market is speaking! read more

Order To Go was easy- walk in, but the drive thru is available. They serve plenty of meat on the Gyro Salad $20 that comes with side pita bread. I made 2 meals out of it. Their French fries are some of my favorite in town. read more

Well, ate my sandwich before we could even think about taking a photo! Suffice it to say portions are exceptionally generous and gyros are great. Gyro salad is definitely a wonderful deal for dinner because it will work for two people or several meals. Dining in has easy access, very clean, no frills. Drive-through makes for a quick stop. Picture this: Chiefs vs. Bills, family gathered, the anticipation of a thrilling game... and the stark realization--there's NO FOOD. Who throws a football watch party without snacks? My dad, apparently. But fear not, King Kong swooped in to save the day and tackle our hunger with a legendary delivery. The lineup was a bit of a challenge. My brother wanted a burger, my dad a Philly sandwich, and my nephew, son, and husband were all chanting "steak!" like it was their team's motto. As the self-appointed MVP of this operation, I dove into the delivery apps. The result? A $226 culinary blitz, featuring everything from a Double Kong burger to sirloin dinners, with fries and Greek salads galore (feta removal skills required). Highlights of the feast: Double Kong Burger: This burger was a beast. Towering high with juicy patties, crisp lettuce, and all the fixings, it was a linebacker in burger form. Sirloin Dinners: Three perfectly cooked steaks arrived hot and juicy, with rice, potatoes, and pita on the side. Who needs the stadium when you have this kind of fuel? Philly Sandwich: Packed with meat, cheese, onions, and peppers (no mushrooms, as requested), it was a touchdown in every bite. Kid's Gyro Meal: Overflowing with meat and fries, it may or may not have been for a kid. (We'll leave that one a mystery.) Onion Rings & Fries: Crispy, golden, and devoured before the first quarter was over. The salads, despite their rogue feta (I said no feta, King Kong!), were fresh and hearty. And while the tab was steep, desperate football fans call for desperate measures--and my dad's wallet was the real MVP here. Shoutout to our Dasher, Arthur, for keeping everything piping hot and delivering faster than a Mahomes pass. King Kong scored big with this Greek football feast. Sure, it's pricier when you're playing the delivery game, but in the end, everyone left the table satisfied and ready to cheer. Verdict: King Kong for the win. 10/10, would order again for any foodless football emergency. read more

Fucking terrible. Overpriced and I asked for no tomato or onion and got a huge amount of both. Plus it was cold. Seemed precooked form an hour or more ago, and just slapped together. 45$ for two shit burgers. Will NEVER go back read more

Not sure why this place is getting a bad rap here. The burgers are huge, decently tasty, loaded with generous and fresh toppings, and the seasoned fries are excellent. It's the only meal you'll need that day. Service quality was also good. read more

Weird, gross, and expensive. I won't be coming back. Where you order is not obvious and nobody greets you. How health inspector has not shut the place down is wild. And for as expensive as it is, they should be able to afford to clean. $48 for two people. Burger, gyro, fries and 2 small drinks. read more

Long established local gyro place with a great ape on its sign (there is a good story there). We had take out on a Tuesday, the special was a cheeseburger and fries. I was hungry but, wow... couldn't finish the burger that was about the size of my face! My takeout box was filled with fries too, so generous. Both hit the spot and at around $10 it was a super deal. The gyros are good too. read more

Food was delicious! Portions are huge. I brought my grandkids and had to cut the burger in half and split it between two kids. My two granddaughters split their chicken strip meal also. I ordered the gyro salad salad topped with tomatoes, olives, Feta cheese and dressing topped with a pita bread. Their fries are always crispy and hot. Dining area is clean and spacious. read more

Omg. It was a gyro. How simple can that be. The meat was bathed in salt. It managed to be bland and salty at the same time. Just awful.

Prices are INSANE for a greasy burger joint. $13 for just a cheeseburger and the sides are a la cart.....$13 for a large french fry!!! Umm $26 for a burger and fry and no drink? Hope they pay their employees based on their food prices! read more

I don't generally review restaurants unless I feel a need to, good or bad, and this definitely falls in the latter category. I generally like King Kong and went to this location for lunch around noon today. Fries were not the correct type of fries (the delicious crispy ones they usually serve) AND they weren't seasoned. The gyro meat was burnt and the tsaziki sauce tasted off as of it were a store bought one they grabbed to use last minute. Overall it was a huge disappointment during an already crappy work day. Never had this poor of an experience at any other location and won't be visiting this one again. read more

I'm shocked, not in a positive way. The fries were cold, and the gyro wasn't good. Why did I think the gyro wasn't good? I don't know; it just wasn't. It's too bad. My experience at another King Kong was excellent. Greeks are the best restauranteurs in the country. These folks spoke Greek, but they didn't work like them. Way too expensive for the quality of food. Plenty of other Greek restaurants worth the money.

I WILL NEVER EAT THERE EVER AGAIN!!!!! DISTURBING!!!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! When I went to sign the receipt for my purchase they had a disclaimer on it that said I cannot hold them liable for any harm or damages that comes from eating their food. That was one day ago. Today I am considering going to the ER For sever neck and throat pain. Worst part is my son ate there too. IF You GO there JUST DON'T. I feel so stupid. read more

This was once a definitive favorite place to go for the fries and Greek seasoning with the cucumber sauce. Personally the location off of Dodge st in Omaha is a bit better than the Ralston/Papillion/Lavista (always mix up those cities). The food has not been as fresh as it once was. Fell ill instantly after eating a lamb gyro. So that was an account of failing to be fresh. The food use to burn your mouf hot! Now it is almost you have to go home and reward and that is even when driving from the drive thru to the street to exit. So yeah. Overall willing to MAYBE give it another try but definitely not intentionally planning to. read more

Stopped in to this location for a burger. I got the King Kong w/bacon and a kids King Kong burger. I thought it was little pricey for both but the portions were huge. My burger had a TON of bacon, pickles and onions. Wait time was like 3-4 minutes for the food. Staff was pleasant. Only thing I didn't like was there was no ketchup anywhere in the dining area and had to wait for a staff member to bring it out. read more

Cleanliness: Table and condiments were clean. Floor needed a little sweeping but not bad. Decore: Not much to brag about. Very basic seating. Order and pickup at the counter. Lots of ape statues out front. Location: Great location. Easy to see and get to. Parking is not a problem. Service: You order at the counter, pick up your order, and bus your table. That being said the young lady who took our order was pleasant. Food: I had the gyro with fries. The gyro was just okay. The sauce was all on one end so i ended up eating most of it without sauce. The fries were great. My daughter and her boyfriend had the sirloin dinner. They thought it was pretty good. Price was pretty nice at $10. Portion size is big. You won't go hungry. read more

What's great: King Kong is open on holidays and regularly offers free food as a gift to the community. They're the only Greek food option in the neighborhood. This location is well suited to groups up to a dozen people. What's good: I like their steaks, which, along with two sides, are just $10.99 on Sundays (as of 2020). Their Greek salads are good, though the only variation is with/without gyro meat. The potatos-and-rice dish pairs well with the steak, and comes with a red sauce which contains green beans, meat, and a bunch of other stuff. The gyros are pretty good, though sometimes they really pile on the onions. What's not as good: The burgers seem to vary in quality and there are much better options nearby. The baklava can be soggy. The fries taste good but can be limp and greasy. Sometimes they close earlier than the posted hours-which is sort of understandable if business is slow (and it often is!), but it's frustrating and they sometimes miss out on huge crowds exiting the nearby Ralston Arena. The gorilla theme is cute but overdone. read more

Had the Gyro Combo Meal which is Monday's Special. Comes with fries and a small drink. Food is good. Gyro and fries were tasty. Fries are nice and crispy with a bit of seasoning. Service is quick. You order and pick up at the counter. There are daily specials to try as well. Only drawback is that the gyro, fries and small drink cost 11 dollars. Thought it was just a bit expensive for what was received with respect to portion size. Quality was good though. Would eat here again. read more

Usually liked King Kong's burgers but I won't be returning anytime soon (especially at this location) My boyfriend and I were waiting for someone to take our orders in the drive through for about 10 mins, so we decided to go around to the window. We waited and finally someone came, took our orders, got our food and was on our way home. When I got home the whole bottom of my burger was a soggy mess, so I decided to eat it with only the top bun.... (my fries were also wet) While taking the burger apart I noticed the lettuce they gave me was also soggy and ROTTEN. I assumed the rest of the burger wasn't fresh then either. Trash. read more

King Kong on 72nd street served me raw bacon on a $16 single burger and when I call to ask for a refund I get told that I'm a real asshole for not wanting it crisped up or remade. The food would be a five star, but with the rudeness of some of their employees after being a loyal customer for 15 years, I will never be going to this establishment again. I have a hard time, understanding people with heavy accents, and they had someone with a very heavy accent on the drive-through and I asked him to repeat himself and he just turned into a giant jerk. I have had this problem at this restaurant so often and I have always let it go but no more whoever that guy is if he's the owner, he should be bought out and if he's an employee should be fired. I'm just tired of rude employees, and King Kong seems to hire all of them. read more

Consistently good quality, flavors top notch. Employees are always delightful. Thanks for the amazing gyro platters king kong!

King Kong is a fast food restaurant that serves a somewhat unusual combination of menu items - Burgers, Phillies, Gyros, Steaks, Salads, and Greek Pastries. They specialize in giant Burgers (King Kong!) that are at least 1/2 lb per patty, but they'll stack them up to make double, triple, and even ridiculously humongous 2 lb quadruple burgers. They serve gyros (from a real spit, or Shawarma, or whatever they call that spinning meat cooking machine), and Greek salads that look very good although I haven't tried one yet. I usually have the 1/2 lb King Kong burger and I can generally only eat about half of it (it's the smallest burger but it's big enough to share with a friend - however you shouldn't feel forced to share it because the price is very reasonable.) The burgers are very good and they taste like they're cooked on a "Burger King" type grill with a good charcoal flavor. The fries are coated, probably with some type of batter I think - not my favorite, but I don't have a strong objection. My only major complaint was that they don't offer brewed iced tea. I recommend you should definitively check this place out when you have a King Kong sized appetite. read more

I had never been to a King Kong before, despite hearing their catchy jingle (No Gyros, Gyros!) far too many times. Drive-thru service was fine and the wait for food wasn't too long. I ordered a burger and fries...and both were disappointing. The burger was the blandest I have ever had and really didn't taste like beef. The fries were well seasoned, but greasy and not crispy. Food was over priced and did not satisfy my burger craving at all. There are much better fast food burgers in the area. No way am I coming back to spend 10+ dollars on subpar food. read more

The ridiculous commercials made us want to try this place and their huge burgers. The inside is odd, with stuffed gorillas all over the place (still not sure how King Kong, burgers, and Greek food all go together). My husband got the King Kong burger (just as huge as advertised) while I got the chicken gyro plate. The chicken was extremely dry and underseasoned, and the burger was ok. The side salad, pasta, and baklava were average. On the other hand, the fries! I would make a return trip just for the fries. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My description can't do them justice. We did have fun taking silly pictures with the big gorilla statues out front, so there's that. read more

I went here because I heard that King Kong served up one of Omaha's best burgers and was surprised to find that the menu was packed with Greek dishes. I was tempted to try a gyro and greek salad, but had to stay the course and order the smallest burger on the menu: a hefty half pounder. The patty tasted similar to gyro meat, in terms of the spices and flavor, which made for an atypical burger experience. The burger was good, but I would probably go the feta and baklava route next time. My favorite touch was the extensive collection of ape statues chained to the ground out front. Rockin'. read more

The cashier and all employees didn't wear masks. They were rude and even though they were speaking in Spanish pretended not to understand instructions in English or Spanish.
