This is my second time eating here, and both times have been delicious!!! Some of the best local Mediterranean food!!! The chicken kebab is seasoned and cooked perfectly with the rice. The salad is always grab along with the yogurt dip. The spicy feta is excellent with the kebabs too. Don't stop there...make sure and order baklava to enjoy later. It's delicious as well!!!

Very clean, neat and organized front counter.

Very friendly staff, nice clean organized restaurant. They weren't too busy during lunch hours so my food was prepared and served very fast. Everything tasted great and definitely in line with traditional Mediterranean food. This place is a hidden gem in Bellvue and i will be returning often to get a great tasting healthy Mediterranean meal. Everything was fresh and gad a nice balance of flavors. I really loved the home made dressing too. I was really surprised that they had the home made Greek eggplant dip.... I think it's called, baba ganoush... it tasted GREAT!

Finally got a chance to try this place out, and ... it was really good. It's situated close to Offutt AFB in Bellevue and they have a decent dining space inside. I'll have to try some of their other dishes, but their Adana kebab was certainly a tasty choice.

The food was pretty good, but the price was steep for the portions of the meal we shared. We paid about $32 for the three plates below. Thankfully the pita was very filling, because the $7 we paid for the single kebab on our salad was not really worth it. The salad was very whatever. I wish it had a bit more to it. The staff was trying, but they weren't very flexible with customizing orders because the point of sale system didn't have a button for what we wanted.

I absolutely LOVED this place! My boyfriend found this hidden/not so hidden gem deep in Bellevue one day and since I'm always down to have some Greek food we decided to head out there one evening. The funny thing is, when we got there and parked, we bumped into my sister's bestie and her family!! Since I've known her pretty much as long as my sister has she is basically like family! We got to catch up while her husband was inside Izmir Gyro House picking up dinner since she had been out of state for the past year! Corey came back and confirmed the deliciousness of this restaurant which made it even more exciting! Jason got a chicken gyro supreme platter which comes with a salad and rice. Their rice is wonderful! I had never tried Greek rice before and it was pleasantly tasty and different! He thoroughly enjoyed his meal. I chose the Gyro supreme which was delicious. It was too salty and their tzatziki sauce is on point! We loved our meals so much that just about a week and a half ago after attending a wedding and dinner was going to be another hour and half, we headed here again since it was about 5 minutes away and almost got the same thing. My boyfriend got the same platter and I thought I got the meal last time but was surprised again! The Gyro supreme meal comes with fries, which I hadn't eaten in months, and a drink! Though I haven't had fries in awhile I was glad to have them again on this evening. They were close to Burger King fries but better! The were crunchy and big and tasty! I'm not sure I'd order this particular dish again anytime soon but I know that I would highly recommend it! But since I was again eyeing my boyfriend's rice from his platter meal and his salad it's safe to say I'll be going with the Gyro supreme platter on my next visit here!

I'm not sure how long this has been open but it is very clean and we'll run. The food comes out super quick and is delicious. I hope they are successful and stay for years to come. This is a great lunch stop! Ask for the Military Discount.

My new favorite! Wow! I'm very happy with Izmir! I've been here twice in the last week because their Chicken Kabob is fantastic! Their rice is very unique because it's mixed with Orzo, which gives it a nutty type taste. It's excellent! Their dishes always come with some type of fresh cut up vegetables. Their Falafel is very crispy and good. Also I tried the Baba Ganoush and I recommend it highly. They have online ordering due to Covid, so it was very easy to order online and go inside to pick it up. I had to alter one order, but it was very easy to call and fix it over the phone. The staff are very friendly. I can tell that I will be a longtime customer!

We started with the appetizer sampler and it was amazing! It has everything you want and things you didn't know you needed! The hummus and tabbouleh are wonderful but the stars of the plate are the pita and the beet salad for me. The beets are in a creamy dressing and just so craveable. The hummus is nice and smooth, the tabbouleh has so much herb and is so fresh. I only wished for a bit more lemon. The baba ganoush was really good but was a bit over smoky so a little bit at a time was good. The cucumber dip was amazing as well. We then proceeded to the main event - salads, fries, and falafel. Caesar (entree size only) and side dinner salad with a sherry vinaigrette were nice but nothing special. Then the French fries and falafels... fresh and hot!!! Crispy! Fluffy!! And when we broke into the falafels, we were so excited to see GREEN!!! They had HERBS inside!! And the tahini sauce on the side was so delicious. I want that for my salad dressing AND dipping sauce for the fries (although the cucumber dip is amazing on them too!) so much food for two girls so many boxes were needed. It was closing time therefore dessert was togo- baklava. Large triangle. Very delicious. We sat at the bar and I believe we were served by the Lady of the House (Owner). She was incredibly welcoming and we had a joyful conversation about kids and good foods. Oh... did I mention they offer Armenian wine? Yup. Red was my choice and although it was a little sweet, it went well with all the flavors of our meal. Maybe next time I'll try the white....

I visited Shahen Afghan with my Supper Club group (where we try new places most of us haven't…read morebeen), and we all enjoyed it quite well. The interior is very colorful and welcoming, with greens, reds, and yellows, the colors of the Afghan flag, which was very cool. Our server was a young man (we think he was possibly the owner's son), and he was professional and efficient in taking our orders and keeping our drinks filled. Our group tried many dishes and each one was flavorful and came as a generous serving. We started with the potato bolani, which was a soft and fluffy naan type bread filled with potato and served with a lassi type dip and a chutney - it was also perfect to go with any of the meat dishes we tried. We also had the Mantu to start - a tasty little dish of succulent lamb dumplings, with a savory and sweet topping of beans and yogurt. Very interesting flavor profile for sure. Another dish we tried was the Chicken Biryani which came atop some flavorful rice. The chicken was dark meat, which I'm not usually a fan of, but it worked in this case. It was also topped with a lot of onions and an egg, which I wasn't a fan of, so just did not eat those parts. One of us had the Chicken Breast Cube Kebabs which came as little cubes atop the rice, with a hefty helping of a red sauce/marinade that had a little bit of heat. Needed another lassi to cool down after this one! Another tried the Lamb Kabob which is an absolute classic and you can't go wrong ordering that. We shared a few desserts to try: -Baklava/Baghlawa, which can be found in many cultures (Greek, Turkish), so I'm sure many have had this dessert. Nuts, dough, honey, yum. -Sheer Peera, which was described as a "milky fudge" and tasted very nutty but with a slightly floral flavor added in. Overall, I'd say this is a great place to try Afghan cuisine. It's not fine dining or anything, and definitely be prepared for some spicy flavors - but it's for sure a place to try a few new things!

I was clearly wrong, there is a such thing as a perfect sambusa. The bread was thin enough to taste it, but not so bready that the bread was the star. The meat was chopped steak not ground meat and the sambusa was stuffed full, 4 of them is a whole meal. And the filling was full of flavor, layers of flavor, it alone is a reason to eat there. Also the kebab was served with a perfectly dressed fresh tomato, red onion and cucumber salad and the pilav was served with a perfectly dressed lettuce, red onion and tomato salad. The Pilay was pretty good, the meat was a bit dry, but the flavors in the rice was on point and the garbanzo beans were creamy and flavorful, not slightly sandy and garbanzos can be. They definitely did not come from a can. That kebab, whew THAT KEBAB, was off the chain and they served it with a red sauce that seemed simple but flavorful with a little kick, I think I ate more bread than anything because I was dipping my bread in that red sauce. The service was friendly and the decor was comfortable and welcoming and colorful. I will definitely be back.
