The hummus and tabbouleh are wonderful but the stars of the plate are the pita and the beet salad for me. The beets are in a creamy dressing and just so craveable. The hummus is nice and smooth, the tabbouleh has so much herb and is so fresh. I only wished for a bit more lemon. The baba ganoush was really good but was a bit over smoky so a little bit at a time was good. The cucumber dip was amazing as well. We then proceeded to the main event - salads, fries, and falafel. Caesar (entree size only) and side dinner salad with a sherry vinaigrette were nice but nothing special. Then the French fries and falafels... fresh and hot!!! Crispy! Fluffy!! And when we broke into the falafels, we were so excited to see GREEN!!! They had HERBS inside!! And the tahini sauce on the side was so delicious. I want that for my salad dressing AND dipping sauce for the fries (although the cucumber dip is amazing on them too!) so much food for two girls so many boxes were needed. It was closing time therefore dessert was togo- baklava. Large triangle. Very delicious. We sat at the bar and I believe we were served by the Lady of the House (Owner). The meat was chopped steak not ground meat and the sambusa was stuffed full, 4 of them is a whole meal. And the filling was full of flavor, layers of flavor, it alone is a reason to eat there. Also the kebab was served with a perfectly dressed fresh tomato, red onion and cucumber salad and the pilav was served with a perfectly dressed lettuce, red onion and tomato salad. The Pilay was pretty good, the meat was a bit dry, but the flavors in the rice was on point and the garbanzo beans were creamy and flavorful, not slightly sandy and garbanzos can be. They definitely did not come from a can. That kebab, whew THAT KEBAB, was off the chain and they served it with a red sauce that seemed simple but flavorful with a little kick, I think I ate more bread than anything because I was dipping my bread in that red sauce. The service was friendly and the decor was comfortable and welcoming and colorful. I will definitely be back. We shared a few desserts to try: -Baklava/Baghlawa, which can be found in many cultures (Greek, Turkish), so I'm sure many have had this dessert.
