    Gyro combo with Greek fries
    Olyvia K.

Zaytuna is a food truck that serves Mediterranean food. My fiancée and I went to check out their food with very affordable prices. We had excellent service as we ordered and got our food very quickly. I thought the gyro was pretty good, but a little bit dry. I liked the Greek fries too. Around the food truck, there wasn't much seating. So we took our food home to eat there instead of anywhere nearby. It was $12 for a gyro, Greek fries, and a can of soda (they have Coca Cola options). The tzatziki was not my favorite of ones I have had. It was a bit tangier than I think I like if that makes sense.

The newest location is in the Inner rail. Lots of options with sandwiches or over rice. I really liked the falafel sandwich and it was super filling. My friend got the gyro sandwich and it was overflowing with meat!! You can add fries and a drink for $1.99. The staff was super kind and helpful. Expect a bit of a wait as they are sometimes busy and making everything.

Ya know, Hot Wheels put on a good show at the Mid-American Center so we felt like a Food truck needed to end the entire evening. So where does one go on a Saturday night? The. Old. Market. Or 24th St in South Omaha but that's an entirely different review. SO... If you know where Imporioum is, then you've seen their truck consistently parked at the NE corner of the intersection. When I say consistent... I mean CONSISTENT. Their food is also, consistent. We snagged the "Kafta" (outrageously seasoned ground beef, pickled-pickles, tomatoes, tahini, onion, lettuce OH MY), and the "Chicken Shwarma" - perfectly seasoned, garlicky, warm, also with pickles, zesty, with not as much in it as usual. We also added their special, seasoned meat wrapped in grape leaves, served with pickled-pickles, tomatoes and tahini to dip. To which, the textures were the same (wilty, hot goo) and the gag... reflex took... over after a few... rolls. SO.. can't say we'll be getting that special ever again. If I had been thinking on the flu, I should've taken a picture of the AT LEAST 15 folks in line on the sidewalk.

My second visit for take out. I had their Greek salad again and it is as good as I remembered. Fresh, tasty and plenty for linch or dinner. Absolutely recommend!

I was wandering Inner Rail when I found Zaytuna. I love a good falafel, and honestly I usually am pretty disappointed by the falafels I find in Omaha, but I have now found my go to!! The sauce and all the toppings are delicious, and all the flavors work together perfectly. I absolutely recommend Zaytuna if you're craving some Mediterranean fare!

    Chicken Shawarma combo

If you're starving and in the Old Market late at night, this food truck is the place for you! I ordered the chicken shawarma combo. The guy taking my order was really nice and the food came out so quick! It was around 12:30am and man did this food hit so good! The fries had a tasty seasoning on them that made up for them not being crispy (I'm a crispy fry kinda gal). The only thing better about my experience would be crispier fries! The chicken shawarma was so tasty. I ordered everything to take it and eat it at home but I devoured it all in my car before I got home...oops!

Posted menu on the side of the truck.

Food is flavorful and good portion size! Baklava portion is sad honestly, but the main dish combo is right on the money. Very polite and cheerful guys working the truck. Food took no more than 5 minutes. Great option when everything else is closed. Tip them well when you go!

Middle eastern inspired food. Friendly service, tasty sandwiches, seasoned fries, yummy appetizers and authentic spices. Will come back

Get the VIP Shwarma Chicken combe. It's amazing with a little kick! Add some fresh and sticky baklava to finish off the night right.

Food and service are incredible. Anytime I pass the food truck I must stop for a chicken shawarma wrap.

Family-run taquerias are owned and operated by folks who often feature family recipes passed on by grandparents and other relatives who came from Mexico and beyond. You'll find familia in the kitchen. If that doesn't make it authentic, I guess I don't know what authentic means. That being said, Big Bro and I tried Los Portales recently. We were underwhelmed by the flavors until we put on the sauces. Sauces are a perfect example of differences in preference, not authenticity. The ones at Los Portales were thinner than what I prefer, but the flavors were just what was needed. What one person likes, another doesn't. The presentations were beautiful and the portions were large. I had a gordita which I expected to love but didn't. The thick house made tortilla was tasty, but I discovered I like crispy better. We devoured the guac and chips, delicious. Big Bro ordered his go-to for Mexican restaurants, chimichanga but it was just ok. Adding sauce made it more flavorful. Many people prefer the food at Los Portales and call it authentic. I also call it authentic, but prefer other recipes.

The service was fantastic, and it felt like a true family restaurant. The chips were so good, and the salsa was spicy but not too much for people with sensitive palates. I love this style of chips, not a thin restaurant style but a thicker, more savory bite. We went through one portion before our food got to us and they brought more out when I asked. I highly recommend the tacos. I made a mistake and asked for birria not quesabirria tacos, so make sure to specify that if you want quesabirria (with cheese). But, the birria was good anyways! I also got the taco macho (see the pic for what's inside), and wish I would've ordered 2 of those! My husband got the huitlacoche and squash blossom tacos and they were both so good. I was so impressed they had huitlacoche as an option, I've never seen that before! The drinks were ordered and delivered from the server, but she said since they're working on a liquor license they have a bar next door that makes them. If you order a drink with your food, they charge for the drinks and food separate for that reason. I liked my jalapeño margarita! My husband got a cantarito and said it's the best one he's had from all the places we've tried to far!
