FIRST time rookie at King Kone. Picture shows all the flavors that they sell. There is another menu to the right containing a lot more items. One needs to step off the long line(a GOOD thing) to decide your choice! Unsure if the ice cream is homemade(or not) but it's good. We will return! Best to go at an "off" hour. There are picnic tables to the side to enjoy your

The food is delicious I've tried the lobster roll and French fries very tasty. I've tried the pistachio ice cream the butter or can ice cream the monkey business ice cream which oh so delightful. Depends on what you like. The service is always impeccable. Very kind young ladies at the window to serve you. Very peaceful sitting outside also. Very calming with the tasty flavors . You will definitely want to stop by. This ice cream is better than any supermarket ice cream. Please believe. Happy eating....

Coffee fudge toffee ice cream is my go to non-soft serve here Soft serve is good. We did attempt a king kone once You can order a scoop of just cookie dough Lobster roll is surprisingly good and has decent amount of meat. Heart Attack burger is where it's at - the crispy fried mac and cheese layer is surprisingly good. Fries are decent. Family friendly, outdoor seating, long lines, very little parking, great hangout spot.

Busy roadside place. Parking can be tough as lot is small, a lot of people just park on the busy road or make shift spots We moved through the line super quickly, as most people were in the food line. Ice cream was delicious and sizes huge imo, truly couldn't finish the small. Cash only. I don't consider myself lactose intolerant whatsoever and crush hard scooped ice cream daily from the grocery store. but this soft serve lowkey destroyed my stomach. i'm wondering if it has some sort of additive or higher percent lactose? idk but fyi to anyone's who's a little more on the sensitive side, maybe try hard scoop. my partners sundae of banana and almond coconut was heavenly! it was a bit pricier than expected for the area

Stopped by there for the first time. We have driven by so many times and I always wondered how an ice cream can draw such a line all the time. I found out!! This ain't just ice cream and custard. They have EVERYTHING! I did enjoy a dessert, as we just ate next door, But it was delicious and I'm coming back soon for a Lobster Roll, Hot dog, fried clams, burgers...the list is endless. The kids who work here are Friendly and Polite..This place is not just a food shack..it's a local Landmark!! Definitely stop by and check it out. Enjoy!!

    Soft serve infused with FLY.

The young people that work there were condescending to me and my children. The simple orders got an "eye roll" and an "i know" and our order was shoved onto the counter not only without eye contact, but the person's head was completely turned the other way as if they were the subject of an exorcism. I looked up as I took my $25 order of 3 soft serve cups and saw the back of her head, Cousin It unkept hair staring back at me. One of our soft serve had a FLY in it. I should have lead with that but the whole King Kone experience was gross.

    Lobster Roll Platter

Been coming here for years, the ice cream is AMAZING! So many flavors and all are equally great. I hadn't tried any of the food until today and I was pleasantly surprised! I got the lobster roll platter, which comes with the lobster roll, fries, and coleslaw. The lobster roll was incredible, the lobster salad has a lemony kick which really complements the flavor, the fries are crispy and delicious. I personally didn't care for the coleslaw but it's a nice addition regardless. One last thing, they only take cash, Venmo, or Zelle however the cell service can be spotty at times so I would recommend brining cash! Overall an amazing place and a northern Westchester institution for sure!

small vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles

AMAZING!! Can't say enough good things about this staple, there's a plethora of positive adjectives! Even with a - large Sunday crowd, the ample ordering windows made the service speedy and efficient. Food was delicious! They even took a basic grilled cheese and knocked it out of the park. (I added old bay to my grilled cheese and it was key!) Classic hotdogs 10/10 and crispy delicious fries- my mouth is still watering. They offer a variety of condiments to take at your convenience which was a sweet little touch. And now the icecream. Oh goodness it was incredible. We stuck to the classic soft served vanilla with rainbow sprinkles, threw it on a waffle cone and were in heaven. (the offer 3 different cone styles In multiple sizes) The staff were great, the aesthetic is adorable- think classic vacation vibes. Just a few things to remember- they are a cash (or venmo/zelle) only establishment ! and parking can be a little tricky so prepare to park on the road :)

King Kone screams Americana. It's a small outdoor eatery on the side of the road with soft serve ice cream and summertime classics. This is a seasonal spot and there's always a line. There are plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas to shield you from the sun. Great for groups and families. They have lobster rolls, pull pork sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, etc. They have classic vanilla and chocolate soft serves as well as hard scoop flavors and various topping options. Cash or Venmo only.

It's a nice space with the right kind of lighting, but the bar music was a bit too loud for easy conversation. The main courses left a lot to be desired. I don't think any of us (a party of +6) had a really good main course. The Thai vegetable curry was embarrasingly terrible. Stodgy, overwhelming garlic, slop on a plate. Chickpeas and unidentifiable bits of veg with tomato sauce and gloopy rice. So bad, and no thai flavor at all. At least make a decent thai red curry sauce. Or use coconut milk and lemongrass or something that isn't just garlic mush. The fish dish was literally just a piece of fish with a bit of sauce and a curlicue of something. Nothing to go with it. The chorizo shrimp burger tasted okay and had a lot of food on the plate, but my husband said it fell apart as he ate it. I think the Whitlock needs to do better than this. It's not a budget restaurant. I expect better food than what I can make at home.

I give the good marks in that regard. Cleanliness. It's a nice space, and clean. I used the restroom as well. Certainly looks like they take the time out to keep the place presentable which is not something all restaurants do so it should be noted when you see it. Minuses: Noise: The architecture of the space with its high ceilings is such that it's very loud. This is not the kind of place you go for a quiet meal. It wasn't that every table was occupied when I was there but the noise level was quite high. Honestly, it depends on your preference. It's not a matter of it being bad so much as warning you in advance. Prices: The food was okay. I had an omelet. It was adequate, nothing more. The thing of it was that it was a $20 dollar omelet. In that case I expect them to bring out the hen and show me its pedigree. The food was good, not great, not bad, simply good. I can't really say anything other than that. Given that it's Katonah it may be that it caters to a clientele that doesn't have a problem with that but again, it's not a bargain. Overall, I enjoyed the meal enough but I likely wouldn't go back simple based around the price point.

As you can tell by the existence of this review, I had decided to get to Bellmore I would park in the parking lot next to this business until I got back. This place does kind of give me a Rocky Balboa vibe upon entering, which isn't a bad thing at all. Some of the names of the menu items are even inspired from the movies such as The Balboa and The Italian Stallion. Beyond that, this place does take a little learning, but ordering is pretty simple once you know what you're doing. You don't pay for the order until you get your food, and you pay right by the front door. This is something I could see going awry if the wrong kind of people were to come here and requires an amount of trust in the customers that can make some nervous people uncomfortable. Really though, beyond that the service here is really good. I did have to remind the cashier to get my bill right when it was my turn to pay, so there is also that to consider. I did The Spartan Stack and some Mac and cheese bites because when I was returning to Katonah, I NEEDED something to eat right there and then. The Spartan Stack let me tell you got the spot just right, and I did appreciate some healthier ingredients such as cucumber in there. The Mac and cheese bites are a newer item as was The Spartan Stack, and those were pretty tasty. You get a chipotle sauce to dip them in, and let me just say that it does actually pack a punch of heat! All in all, a really satisfying lunch and I'm glad I came here. It's actually a great spot if you're commuting from the Katonah Station and it's very convenient. A good place indeed.
