A nice spot to stop & cool off on a hot July day. The ices were at perfect temp & the lemon was sweet and tart at the same time. The soft vanilla was also very good according to my daughter. Our only gripe was no cherry dip & the vanilla ice cream was a but soft but it was hot out... hence the four stars. We found the Staff friendly, lots of seating & very clean. It's where the locals have their ice cream after school or the big game. Efficient, no frills place (no bathroom so visit the gas station or be sure to use the school facilities after the events first!) a surprisingly good menu if you have time to wait for it. I go to scoops almost every day, I usually get the smoothies. They are very good and reasonably priced. I also get their food for lunch. The have a wide range selection. Unfortunately the fryer broke down today, but that's okay. The have so much to choose from. The ice cream is excellent. You can't beat the prices, burgers are delicious. The portions are large too! Woow! Found scoops on the internet while looking for a new ice cream spot. I opted for their cannoli sundae and it was definitely a treat. Topped with Nutella, bananas, chocolate chips and cannoli shells - delicious! Can't wait to come back for more. Parking is fine, with plenty of spaces and scoops is not hard to find. Deserts made from chemicals not dairy nor natural flavors. Poison. You Would Think (words that are the Kiss of Death) that a stand alone ice cream shop would make in house ice cream with fresh dairy, natural mix-ins and syrups, but everything tasted as if it were made from a commercial chemical mix. The malted milk shake was worse than that made by any fast food restaurant; my wife discarded her ice cream scoop after tasting it. read more

Extremely rude. I'm not giving them my business anymore. Every time we go there it's something. They are supposed to be open till 10. I got there at 9:45 with my kids. I walked up to the window and there was as a girl inside licking a cone in-front of the window. She obviously has no mask on. And I asked her like 5x are u guys open? The only reason why I give it two stars is because the ice creams and smoothies are actually good. We live in Peekskill and my brother-in-law recommended this place. We drove 30 mins to get ice cream here and was very disappointed with their customer service. Let me correct myself, there was one lady who was very rude to us. We haven't been here before so we couldn't decide on why to get. The lady taking our order was rushing us to order right away (mind you there was no one behind us). While we were ordering she made us feel so uncomfortable because it felt like she was annoyed with us asking questions about the menu (again, we've never been here before). She then proceeded to make our order and asks if it was to go or not and when I said yes she made an 'uh' sound and rolled her eyes. A few minutes later my sister-in-law wanted to add another order and when I told her to add it she seemed annoyed about it. Overall I wasn't happy regarding that experience. Suffice to say I'm not coming back and I'm definitely not recommending this place. read more

Classic, local roadside stand with all the usuals, that's becoming increasingly difficult to find and enjoy. If you're looking for a place to bring the kids for food or ice cream after weekend sports, or simply wanting to enjoy a summer night, this is a good choice. They have all the usuals: burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, ice cream, etc., so you're bound to find something that you and/or your kids are craving. It's open seasonally, so enjoy it while the weather is nice. I'm only giving it three stars because there isn't anything specifically *great* about it. It's (to use Yelp's terminology) "A-OK", and that really describes it. Reliable, trustworthy, but their food isn't special or distinctive enough, for example, to go out of your way to get here. If you were three towns over, you wouldn't drive to Scoops for a burger or ice cream; you'd go locally. That's the diff between a 3 and a 4/5 star place. If you're craving a quick food/ice cream fix, and you're in the neighborhood, you can't go wrong with Scoops. read more

I live like a minute away so this is my go to for many years now. Its inexpensive, really good food and of course the ice cream is the best. The owner is nice and helpful. It gets really busy which is a good thing, everything from food to their banana split and make your own milkshake are all good. There's one young man who does his job very well and is probably the best out of all of them. read more

Food is great, all of it really! Ice cream tastes too milky, I definitely don't come to scoops for their ice cream, but definitely come here for a good home town vibe and the food! Very friendly and enthusiastic workers and environment. It's in a very convenient location for a quick bite to eat. Scoops isn't very pricey and is worth the money. Across the street are Carmel Diner and Smalley's Inn and neither can make a burger as good as Scoops. Ice cream, burgers, shakes and more, all done well for the money. This is a real home-town ice cream joint that just goes about its business as it should. Great for kids or anyone looking for a quick bite and a sweet time. read more

I've driven by this place so many times, and never stopped in. During the winter, they don't even open, this is a purely seasonal place. After a day of hiking at Fahnestock park, we decided to stop by somewhere for ice cream. We thought of this place and decided to give it a try. We loved it from the start! Large menu of pretty much everything, from sundaes to frozen fruit bars! Even hot food like burgers and hotdogs if you want. Prices are good and it's a great location to sit outside and enjoy your treats. I love little town gems like this! read more

I'm just gonna come out and say it- run like a thief in the night and come to Southeast G. on Rt 6…read morein Brewster, NY. This is truly comfort food on the cheap. Trust, the quality is all here. This was the best thing for us especially since we were in the area catching up with a few errands. Southeast G's chic, dark grey+black outside design is softened by flowers, the bar area has light wood flooring, large counter off to one side, tables and booths. The space honestly gives out an inviting atmosphere without feeling stuffy. There's also a dining area which faces the reservoir making it perfect for casual events/gatherings. The Tito's Raspberry Tom Collins called me. That sucker started refreshing and its strength soon crept up! My $16 salad with pan seared salmon was fantastic. The dressing was done simply in lemon+oil. Hubs' sliced hanger steak over potatoes, sautéed veggies and drizzled with an demi glace was his winning ticket- and at $20, he enjoyed it to the fullest. Unlike eateries with jacked up prices, this is a terrific all-in-one for us: fantastic prices+strong drink+tasty food. We really couldn't ask for more. These folks take their menu seriously. And by the way- our server Heather, was spot on and pleasant.

There's plenty of parking, a separate bar room and a large dining room with views down to the lake. Unfortunately building codes don't permit outdoor patio seating but grab a window table if you can (reservation required with request). Service has always been friendly and efficient and the food is classy casual, with a nice selection of dishes for everyone.
