After watching The Avengers, I was curious what shawarma was. So I was pleasantly surprised when walking through the mall to find this gem. The owner was polite and gave me a sample to pull me in. The meat was seasoned beautifully. The flavored of the sauces mingled perfectly with the vegetables and meat in the wrap. I got some baklava as a dessert. I went here on the recommendation of a classmate. This is the only place in Utah Valley that serves shawarma, and it's very good. I guess "shawarma" refers to a lot of different things, but here it's a big pita wrap full of lamb and beef (or chicken, for a dollar cheaper) with cabbage, pickles, banana peppers, onions, herb aioli dressing, and a "spicy" (but actually very mild) red sauce. The result is one of those Perfect Foods, which doesn't necessarily mean that it will change your life forever. What it means is that it's as good as it can be; it's the apex of its category. This wrap is the perfect mix of dry and wet, savory and sweet, crisp and smooth. It doesn't taste like it was made in a factory: every bite is a little different. The flavors blend really well, but at various points the french fries, the herb sauce, the meat, or the wrap will stand out. Speaking of the wrap, it's big and flexible enough to enclose the ingredients completely, crispy enough to round out the texture of the meal, thick enough to mean something, and strong enough to handle the sauces without falling apart. It's everything the average tortilla is not. The owner knows his stuff -- he practically oozes competence. He moves fast and doesn't skimp on the toppings. He's not there to upsell you, either; he's a low-pressure guy and really wants you to be happy. When I finished my shawarma, he asked me if I liked it, but I think he knew the answer. I flashed him the "perfect" sign and he grinned knowingly. I paid a little more for my shawarma than I would have paid for fast food (which is what most people expect from a food court), but it was much more delicious and didn't feel like a grease bath on the way down. This place is incredible! Everything is super flavorful and made well. To give you an idea, every order looks like a picture. I got the beef shish kebab gyro and my wife got the falafel schwarma and both were great. Above all, the woman that operates it is the sweetest person ever. Upon hearing it was our first time, she brought us a free sampling of their King Kebab fries WHICH YOU MUST GET. Hubby and I grabbed some "kebabs" here recently. We got the spicy sauce and it did have a good kick to it. I'm not sure what the white sauce was, but it sure wasn't tzatziki. This place is pretty good for mall good. Everyone lines up for Panda Express, I think because they know it, while this place is right next door with no business. Next time your at the Provo Town Center I would check it out. You'll get your food a lot quicker and it tastes better too. I always get the lamb shawarma. It's dang good. read more

Basically, you want the contents of the gyro in the larger bread they use for shawarma). Taking one star away for shish kabob which I did not like. I've eaten the falafel wrap here. The service was A+ excellent, but the falafel was terrible. This wasn't due to how it was cooked, but the nature of the ingredients they use. The chickpea patties in a falafel wrap are the main component that can make or break the dish. Their falafel patties were ultra bland and tasted like they were frozen prior to cooking. I question whether they were made in-house or bought frozen in bulk. The perfect falafel patties should have a good amount of seasoning, some spice and salt. Please improve your recipe (if you make these in-house). Your service was excellent. Bring your food up to that level and I'll be a regular customer. read more

Great service and amazing food. The bread for the Schwarma is very tradition Lebanese style pita. The beef and lamb was moist and delicious. The fry sauce has its own Greek twist. My wife and I came to King Kebab because of all the positive reviews on Yelp. We were not disappointed! We both ordered a shawarma, mine with lamb and beef, and hers with chicken. I am not a huge lamb fan, but I loved the flavor of the shawarma meat; in fact, I personally think the lamb and beef was better than the chicken (which was still good). If you haven't had much lamb, and don't know if you'll like an entire entree with it, just ask one of the workers for a little sample before you order. They aren't extremely fast, but it's not irritating, because you can tell that they carefully craft each item they serve. read more

Like many before me have said this place does not belong in a food court. This owner needs to start a food truck or a full restaurant. If my wallet permitted me I would go at least once a week. The guy working was super nice and explained the food to me after I asked what he would suggest. He gave me a sample of the meat and after tasting it I knew that King Kebab was going to become one of my new favorite places. He was helpful and asked specifically if i wanted to make it spicy or not which is very important because I don't handle spice well. I wanted the full experience though and so he added just a little bit of the spicy sauce and it was well within my limit of spice. Warning - it is in a food court in the mall. I would not have gone there if I had known. Glad I did. Excellent service from a young man. We had two sharmas 1-chx & 1-lamb/beef. Blew me away!
