Lamb and beef gyro with spicy sauce on side
    Taylor R.

Very impressed with King Kebab! The service was good - mom and young son were working. The young boy was very helpful and so kind! The lady was sweet too. The service could've been a little faster but it was kind of busy. I ordered the lamb and beef gyro and it was very tasty. The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. All of the ingredients on the gyro were fresh and flavorful. I love the fact that they put mixed spring greens, banana peppers, tomatoes, and pickles. The tzatziki sauce was also very yummy. I got the spicy sauce on the side which I'm glad I did because it was spicy but it is good for anyone who likes spicy sauces. I personally think that the gyro doesn't need the spicy sauce. I truly hope that this place can stay in business or move to a better location. I was glad to see that there were a lot of other customers ordering their food. It's nice to have this option in Utah county given the fact there's not many places like it. With it being in the mall where there's hardly any one shopping, I do hope that they can make it. I am not in Provo often but when I do come, I will be sure to remember King Kebab as an option for lunch!

    Chicken Shawarma salad

Had I known this place was on the second floor of a shopping mall, in a freaking food court, I never would have driven here. The ratings were so good, though, I had to see what the hype was about. They were empty at noon on Monday but still ordered. The gal behind the counter was as sweet as could be. Maybe the owner? Very helpful and friendly. I was in the mood for a Mediterranean salad and I added chicken shawarma. The pickles and peppers and sauces were all wonderful. Not a ton of chicken but the salad was very, very good. A very cheap meal, as well.

Finally visited this dining place, in a food court no less. Got the lamb and beef shawarma. Yummy for a food court, this is the kind of place I often stopped for a snack when I wasin London, except they were mostly gyros. I might mention that if you order, tell them to go heavier on the tzatziki, it was a bit dry. The lamb was toned down a bit, I would have preferred a more lamb in the beef. The potatoes they used was french fries and not the traditional cooked potatoes I am accustomed to, different, because I am more familiar with potato chunks and not french fries. I'm pretty darn glad I finally was able to try this place, it was on the long lists of places I wanted to try here in Provo.

Very yummy and fresh. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. Just a little slow is all and it is in the mall.

This hidden gem shouldn't be in a mall. But I'm sure the mall appreciates it, being as it's the only foot traffic the mall gets.

I ordered the lamb pita wrap and watched them grill the meat over wood-fired coals. It was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. If you're a big eater, order an extra skewer and have them add it to the wrap. We also started with the Labneh with garlic, which was a fantastic - it's fresh and vibrant. All of the breads are made in-house in their tandoor-style oven, and the pita served alongside it was warm, fresh and spectacular. The ordering process is simple - order at the counter, take a number, find a seat, and pick up your food when your number is called. The staff was clearly busy, but when I asked a few questions about the business, they were more than happy to stop and chat. I complimented them on both their operation and the food. They seemed genuinely appreciative. I think places like this are special because they are a well run kitchen with people who care about what they're doing. And in return it comes out in their product - really good food. The ovens and cooking area are customer facing, and everything is made to order right in front of you. The interior has the feel of a one time American diner with floor tiles that match the chairs. But make no mistakes about it, this is far from that. And when I was sitting there watching the person grill skewers over the wood coals, I was thinking that this restaurants kitchen was being run like I was sitting in an open-air café in Beirut. Authenticity is on full display here and it's appreciated.

We started with the fried cauliflower and zaatar fries, both served with an incredible dipping sauce that disappeared embarrassingly fast. The cauliflower was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and honestly good enough to order again on its own. For my meal, I ordered the shakshuka. It arrived bubbling hot in a cast iron skillet with rich tomato sauce, flavorful meatballs, perfectly baked eggs, and warm grilled pita for scooping up every last bite. I've had shakshuka before, and this was easily one of the best versions I've tasted. Every bite was comforting, hearty, and packed with flavor. Spud went with a Laziz salad alongside another helping of the roasted cauliflower, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Everything that came to the table looked thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and beautifully presented. What made the experience truly memorable, though, was our waitress, Omri. As a Deaf customer, it's always a pleasant surprise when someone can communicate directly in sign language. Omri signed with us, made us feel genuinely welcome, and provided exceptional service from beginning to end. That personal connection meant a great deal to me, and it absolutely elevated an already wonderful meal. I was so impressed that I happily double-tipped her. Great food, warm hospitality, and an experience my son and I will both remember. We'll definitely be back.

My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner on a Saturday. They had New England Clam Chowder as a…read morespecial and we ordered a bowl to share. I ordered the Beef Shawarma and my wife got the Musakhen with fries. The Clam Chowder was good. I've certainly had better, like at Market Street in town or at the Brigantine in the San Diego area. The server was kind of stumbling over his words when he described it and until it arrived I wasn't sure if it was going to be New England clam chowder or Manhattan. He proclaimed that it was the best clam chowder you'll ever get at a Middle Eastern restaurant and I can't really argue about that. The Beef Shawarma is served in a wrap that is open at both ends and cut in half. They put a small portion of pickled items on the plate and dust everything with sumac powder. The beef is thinly sliced. I really didn't enjoy the flavor. The greens in the wrap were extremely bitter and in my opinion it made for an unpleasant flavor. Maybe I just got extra bitter greens on mine but it was overwhelming everything else. I didn't like that the wrap was open, I had to lean over my plate as I ate because the sauce was dripping out and I didn't want to get it on my clothes. Eventually I gave up and used my fork to pull the meat out of the other half so that I could avoid the bitterness. The Musakhen (that's how it is spelled on the menu) was also a wrap. I tried a bite and I liked that better than the beef Shawarma but I still didn't really like something about the flavor. The fries were nicely crispy and fresh but there is a seasoning on them that really wanted to be on my fingers more than it wanted to be on the fries or my napkin. Like no matter how hard I tried to wipe it off there was still some of it on my fingers. Once again there was something about the flavor I didn't really like. My wife eventually offered up some of the aioli and it made it a little better but once again I didn't really like the flavor of the aioli. So for whatever reason the flavors there just aren't for me. My wife on the other hand was very excited about everything and was talking about all the things she was going to try the next time we visited. I didn't want to be a negative bummer during the meal but I was thinking she was going to have to come back with someone other than me. The restaurant is nice and they have very good service. There were a few other tables of large groups and it seems like this is a place that works well for get togethers. Parking is not adequate at all. We got a spot but only because we got there at 4:50 for dinner. I overheard other people talking about the trouble they had finding a spot.
