Coconut Shrimp & Broccoli

Whenever I'm in the mood for fast Asian food, King China is my go-to spot. They're my go to spot because their affordable, they always give plenty, and their food is good. It feels like every time I go here the food just gets better. I've been able to have their sweet & sour chicken, coconut shrimp, sesame chicken, and orange chicken with their fried rice. Right now my favorite is the orange chicken; it's crispy, saucy, and sweet.

Orange Chicken and Fried Rice lunch special.

In my opinion, Panda Express is better for the basic orange chicken, fried rice and chow mein/lo mein. The employee that assisted me was respectful and friendly. I was really hoping to like this place because it's fairly close to where I live. However, this is the first Chinese food place I have ever been to where they don't even put peas & carrots in the fried rice and they don't do not offer noodles with their combos as an option. You have to pay $2.00 extra for half & half meaning fried rice & noodles. I paid extra because it was lunch time and I ordered a lunch special. I grabbed my food and quickly got in my car I had 2 children with me under 5 so I was in a rush. Once I got home and opened my food I was very disappointed because I like vegetables in my food. Fiber is important! Plus, I know it's a lot of people around here can use veggies in their diet wherever they can get them. Anyway, the lo mein was just plain noodles; no cabbage or anything. Really? I was going to give the fried to my nephew that doesn't eat meat but that didn't work out cause it was just 2 clumps of rice. I don't eat Chinese fast food often and my frame of reference is places in Southern California so I was extremely disappointed by the low quality of the food. I ate a few bites of the orange chicken and it was good. The flavor was good in the low but the lack of variation in texture, color and veggies made it hard to eat. In the future I'll just go to Panda for basic Chinese food because it isn't the healthiest but at I can get some veggies in my basic food.

The quality has really gone down hill. Some of the worst food I've had recently - couldn't even finish it.

I love the food at Moon Wok. The lunch comes with egg roll & soup (if you dine in; plus, you can…read moreget those fried won ton chips to put in the soups- delicious) and the portion is good for the price (around $6). The dinner only comes with rice, but the entrée portion is about 2x that of the lunch. Everything is cooked after you order (except egg rolls & the egg drop/ hot & sour soups- sometimes they are made ahead of time). Love almost every item on the menu. The sushis are a bit expensive in my opinion. I love veggies, so I like that a lot of their dishes have a good amount of veggies in them, but if you only eat meat, these are good: General Tso's chicken Sweet & sour chicken or pork Orange chicken Just FYI- the free fried rice that comes with the entrees is not really fried rice- it only has a tiny bit of eggs & soy sauce. So don't think you shouldn't get the fried rice entrée b/c that will be real fried rice. If you want to be healthier, you can request brown rice & they'll only charge a bit extra for it. Also, someone complained about the credit card charges- that's happened to me before, but I called my bank to complain & they said that Moon Wok didn't charge me extra, it's that the banks sometimes place a hold on the card with the extra amount (I'm not sure why the heck they do that), but that the charges are PENDING, so when the charges FINALIZE, it'll be the correct amount. This has happened to me at several retail places, too, so don't freak out unless the amount is higher when it's FINALIZED. Delivery is usually really quick, but when they are really busy, then it can take a bit of time. The décor consists of a few lanterns & TVs (you can request them to change the channel & they are usually nice about it) so you don't really want to eat here for the atmosphere. For the price & the quality of the food, you can't get better than Moon Wok in Cedar Hill. I'd recommend giving it a try.

I haven't been here in at least 3 years, so I didn't know that other reviews had mentioned hair in the food. Anyways, I prayed over my food several times (thank you Jesus), then inspected it thoroughly. With that being said, it tasted okay, not great, and for the price, it's not worth it. Also, the restaurant was EMPTY at 6:30 pm, like 3 people dining-in, which should tell you that something is not right. However, there were 100 people at Cici's next door. I don't want to give this place a bad rating, but there are several reviews about hair being in the food on Yelp and Google. I would find a better place to get Chinese food, although the best Chinese spots are in North Dallas in my opinion.

I haven't had Genghis Grill in YEARS, but I decided to give it another try but I'm glad I did!…read moreWhen I first walked in, I was a little reluctant because the place was pretty empty with only two other people eating. But what convinced me to stay was how clean everything was. The restaurant looked well-kept, so I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. I created my own bowl with chicken, steak, sausage, cabbage, corn, red and green bell peppers, pineapple, fried rice, egg, and noodles, added various seasonings, and finished it with my own little sauce combination of orange + teriyaki + sweet heat. BABYYYYY... It was cooked to perfection, and the FLAVOR was definitely there! That sweet, savory, slightly spicy sauce combination worked perfectly with everything in my bowl. I was also really impressed with the portion size. They definitely didn't skimp, and between the amount of food and how good everything tasted, I left very satisfied. After being off my food radar for years, Genghis Grill has officially earned an invitation back into the rotation! FLAVORCHASER APPROVED!
