I went to King Barrel to purchase a simple wine/whiskey barrel for a christmas gift/project. I have previously done projects with barrels and said they were "one and dones" as they are definatley not easy to work with. After seeing an inspiration picture of a barrel pub table and chairs I got excited to take this on. Upon my arrival to King Barrel I was greeted by several helpful employees. They were incredibly kind and non judgmental of my desire to do a DIY project and didn't make me feel bad as the furniture they had on their show room floor was beautiful in workmanship and design. They offered me tips and even offered me for what I consider a nominal fee to do some of the tidious undesireable parts of my project which I gladly accepted and agreed. They sold me a table top which was great in itself as I had other less grand ideas and after seeing what they did to their display tables I opted to "upgrade" my project by having them do a few other things like filling in the table top holes and banding the table top with a steel band that matched the barrel perfectly. I also met the owner Moses who was quite kind and impressive in his desire to be helpful to this DIY girl....even telling me I could come down anytime for help or just for inspiration ideas, truly a wonderful neighborhood business worthy of support! I could go nuts in this store and fill my home with Whiskey decor and plan to go back soon for more! read more

For my husband's birthday I bought him a beautiful hand-crafted beer flight holder from King Barrel. However, my husband decided to use it for bourbon glasses which require larger slots for the larger glasses. So, I called Moses at King Barrel. Moses made a new holder for me with larger holes. Not only did he gladly take care of my issue, but he created the new holder in just a few days. Problem solved. Also, there was no charge! I ran into King Barrel at the Long Beach Flea Market. Just in time as I was planning a Birthday Party for the wife. The party was going to be a rustic themed party and their Barrels were just what we needed. We rented a few pub tables with stools along with these really cool (and comfortable) Adirondack chairs for the yard. Everyone at the party loved their stuff, so much so that both me and my neighbor each purchased Adirondack chairs from them. Really cool people and easy to work with. Delivery and pick up was on time and fast. Overall great experience with these guys. As soon as I can I'm coming back for that Pub Table I want for my garage. When I moved into my loft in LA I had TONS of space to fill and no furniture so I decided to get some wine barrels to make a bar area by my kitchen. I wanted 2 whole barrels and 1 half barrel. This was my quote: $80 for a whole barrel $40 a half $35 to deliver with a minmum of $150 purchase Wole barrels 2 sizes.. 371/2 inches tall and 34 incvhes tall.( both 60gallon) 1/2 barrels are 17-19 inches tall They will power wash them for you or bring them a little dirty if you want them to have some character. We stumbled across their store in Old Town Temecula and fell in LOVE with two chairs and a table all made out of wine barrels. The button tucked cushions on them gave them a vintage feel that goes perfectly in our house/wine room. When the pieces were done being made, we picked them up at Vets stadium at the Antique Flea Market because it was closer to our home. I came across these Barrel's on Craigslist and they looked authentic..however it is Craigslist so I was a little skeptical. After looking up King Barrel up on Yelp I was pleased to see the positive reviews. I then decided to make a visit to see them in person. What I experienced next far exceeded my expectations. Moses greeted me and walked me to his warehouse behind his home where all the magic happens. He showed me both the wine barrels and whiskey barrels and explained the differences between them. He then showed me some of the custom pieces he had crafted including tables, lamps, wine racks, etc. I was very impressed. After seeing all my options I ended up picking out one of the Whiskey barrels. Moses took the time to wash, bolt,and stain the barrel with Linseed Oil to give it the perfect finish. It is a great starter piece for our apartment and I could not be happier with it. There is no doubt I will be visiting King Barrel for more unique pieces in the future. We were looking for some unique bar stools to replace the cheap ones we got on Amazon that were falling apart. During a Google search for bar stools King Barrel came up. My wife gave them a call and low and behold they said they were going to be in our area the next day and could give us a deal on some stools they had in stock. Some quick photos and phone calls were exchanged and bada bing bada bang, we have new bar stools the next day. Totally awesome. Did I mention we live way up in Ventura County? The barstools are made of old whiskey barrels and are very tough. We needed something that could withstand kids climbing and kicking and the big butts of large adults. I've always wanted to have a giant wine or whiskey barrel in the house as a decorative piece. I came across King Barrel by chance and emailed and got a response right away. The different choices on the website was helpful but what was more helpful was that Jesus (the owner) was willing to create anything out of the wine barrels that I wanted. He even texted pictures of the different styles and colors to ask me which I would prefer.
