So, I was getting a new dryer and decided it would be a good time to clean out my dryer lint vent. I ordered a kit with a round brush and some flexible rods that you attach to a drill and feed through the vent to clean out the lint. Sounds simple enough, right? So the flexible rods that screw together unfortunately separate while I'm using the drill and the brush and several of the rods are stuck inside the duct. I watch a YouTube video explaining how to remove it (it apparently happens frequently) by buying additional rods and attaching a "corkscrew" made from a wire hanger which you feed into the duct by hand to hopefully "grab" onto the brush and pull it out. You guessed it, that got stuck too. I called King Air Duct Cleaning and Lance (the owner) assured me that he understood the issue and he would be able to squeeze me in so I could start using my new dryer. Lance was here this morning and he was amazing. Within 20 minutes he had both of the pieces removed from the duct and all of the built-up lint cleared. Then he hooked up my new dryer, tested the airflow and assured me everything was good to go! And the cost was about 1/3 of what I thought it would be! Highly recommended!!! read more

Lance cleaned our air vents and dryer vent in our 1900 sq ft house. He arrived on time and finished in about 1.5 hours. There were no hidden charges or upsell for additional services. Lance found that we were using the wrong air filters and that some of our vent covers were installed backwards. We did not see an increase in airflow, likely because as he stated, the vents were pretty clean already. We had closed some of our vents to force air into rooms farthest from the air conditioner. Lance explained this approach worked in our old home in Chicago, where large ducts tapered into smaller ducts as the distance from the furnace/air conditioner increased. But in Arizona, all the ducts are of equal size and lead right to the furnace. So we opended all of our ducts. This increased airflow but the rooms farthest from the furnace/air conditioner are still warmer than the rest of the rooms in the house. Lance is very friendly and courteous. Nonetheless, the pricing was honest at under $300 and included the dryer vent cleaning so I gave them a try. They've exceeded all my expectations, my AC now is super super cold and HVAC system runs very efficiently.
