Roast Beef dip

Stopped into the breakfast/lunch spot today. Small business off Broadway in North Everett. First impression is a very clean and new building. Inside was very clean and pleasant. Staff was nice at all points of the meal. From walking in to stopping by to see if it was too cold. I would say the staff was a great highlight of the trip. I ordered the Roast beef dip. It had a great taste, onions were perfectly caramelized. The only issue I had is that it was advertised on Focaccia bread and it was more like a hoagie. I truly couldn't really complain about it. It was served with tortilla chips which was slightly weird in my mind, but I was happy. It was good(maybe a little steep at $15). My sister ordered the Snoho chef salad. Same price as mine, but it was HUGE. She said it was great and checked all the boxes, even had to pack half of it up to take for later. They have a very limited menu and hours(10-2 weekdays only), but there are plenty of things that I would like to come back and try!

Two slices of low quality deli meat and two strips of bacon...all this can be yours for just under $20!!!

Ok it's great this place has some kind of mission or something-none of which I found posted in the store. Posters saying things like "I want a job I can retire from..." with no explanation what that is supposed to mean or how my business helps some one get that???? Some of the reviews mentioned how nice the staff were...not there when I stopped by. One guy was trying, but he was clearly frustrated with something going on. No one greeted me for several minutes as there is an order kiosk. Apparently, even though there is a register, they expect you to use the kiosk. I tried to use the kiosk and order a breakfast sandwich. Went through the whole process and the kiosk told me to enter my credit card. Tried a few different cards and none of them worked. There was now a line forming behind me, so I tried to get the attention of one of about 8 people behind the counter. No luck so I tried saying "excuse me this isn't working" a couple times. Finally one lady answered me in a flustered voice that it would be several minutes before someone could help me. I waited briefly and the one guy I mentioned who was trying, asked if the machine was STILL freezing up. Well I guess I wasn't the first one having issues with it. He took my order after telling me I couldn't get breakfast sandwiches anymore. The store is only opened until 2pm and it was noonish (breakfast is only served until noon and I guess they don't want to serve breakfast for those two more hours). I ordered the classic club for $17+. The machine asked if I wanted to give a tip of 22%. Ummmm NO! I am sick of seeing grocery stores selling their minimalist sandwiches and charging $10 for them. So when a restaurant charges $17 for a sandwich, I have SOME expectations. I will say that two slices of low quality deli meat and two strips of bacon do NOT cut it! They did include a pickle and some chips. The place was clean, which is about the only good thing I can say about my experience. Maybe this place should ask for donations. I will gladly just give them $20 before I pay $17 for a wimpy sandwich again.

Breakfast burrito

I drive this place almost daily and wondered what it was. Stopped in for breakfast and am glad I did. The open industry look gives it a laid back atmosphere. Food was delicious and locally sourced, The service was quick and friendly. As I was waiting for my food I read their story. They help, train, house and feed those in need in our community. Great food and coffee for an even better cause. I don't know why this place isn't packed all day everyday. This is going to be my go to breakfast place.

Hat island ham

What a sad sandwich! I ordered a half the hat island ham sandwich and it has ONE slice of meat folded over. The picture on their website has it packed full. I will not be ordering from here if this is the final product. Not at these prices. I'm so bummed.

A pleasure to come at a Friday morning to start the day off right! Just moved to the area and I absolutely adore my first visit. Excellent customer service from the staff answered my questions about the area as well! I as well as any future customers wont regret coming for more visits. Ps i can get used to this burrito haha

This is such a cute little coffee brunch place. Parking is a little difficult but other than that it's so cute.

This place is the best!! I've been here a few times now and I always get the same order - breakfast…read moreburrito with avocado and London fog tea or their seasonal coffee beverages. I've been wanting to try their chocolate chip cookie but it's never ready when I've gone. Their burrito is delicious though, it's packed and super filling, not to mention the sauces are the best part! I wish they gave a little more as I end up finishing the sauces before the burrito is done because they're sooo tasty with the burrito. I also wish they had other meat options other than bacon. They don't have chicken add ins but other than that it's a great place! I've also had their biscuit and jam, but that's just ok. I wouldn't get it again. It's not that tasty or memorable. There's lots of seating, food is ready fairly quickly, service is great and employees are friendly, and parking right outside. So convenient!

However, and I'd like to share my feedback on my experiences. - The food is decent, though it's often prepared for presentation rather than taste. It frequently arrives cold. - The coffee and tea are overpriced and tastes mediocre. - for instance, I paid $8 for a 4-ounce mix of espresso and orange juice that made my stomach hurt. - I also paid nearly $7 for the "peach blossom tea" and ended up getting 3/4 cup of ice, packet tea, and sweetener in a cup. - I've tried nearly everything on the drink menu and nothing is 'great' - The wait time for an order is incredibly long, and the employees are often distracted and preoccupied with other tasks, making it difficult to get my order taken. Overall, go to narrative for the ambiance and food, NOT the drinks.

Wow. Velton's has changed my coffee life. I recently discovered Grain Artisan Bakery in Snohomish…read more(highly recommend), & since it was afternoon, I got a decaf latte to go with my rhubarb custard tart. With decaf, I've come to expect that I will need the sweet treat to enhance the drink, but this coffee was absolutely as good as the amazing pastry, which is super, super rare!! It was Velton's Three Ravens Blend, the best decaf - by far - that I have had in more than a decade of searching. Three Ravens is completely delicious standing alone - which is what I've been searching for - and it harmonizes beautifully for the half-caf I like to drink in the mornings. I first emailed the business about which of their caffeinated offerings they would recommend for this, and Velton Ross got back to me right away with the friendliest, kindest reply and several very thoughtful suggestions. So far I've enjoyed the Bonsai Blend - an excellent and delicious accompaniment, just a slightly warmer, brighter profile when full-caf than is my preference - and I am going to order the Twilight Blend next. Although you cannot buy in person from their roastery, you can easily order from their site. They have lovely detailed descriptions of everything they offer, and shipping is very quick and very reasonable. They roast on Mondays and ship on Tuesdays, and I have always received my order (in Shoreline) by Friday, or Saturday at latest. There are also quite a few retail locations from Everett to the eastside - and even one each in Vegas and Montana! - where you can buy their beans and/or drink their coffee. I greatly appreciate that they took the time to list these on their site with detailed information about each establishment. So helpful for learning about local businesses I might have otherwise never come across. Online, you can purchase both whole bean and pre-ground for espresso and drip coffee. The drip coffee grind was a little too fine for my coffee cone method. So I experimented with whole beans and found that, for me, the flavor is perfect when I grind them one setting coarser than I used to use for other coffees. The best part of all of this, is that this is the first decaf I've ever been able to drink without a feeling of compromise, extra doctoring, or gaslighting myself into believing that it's good. Zero disappointment!! I can make a straight decaf cup any time of day and know that I'm going to love every sip. Thank you, Velton's!!
