Kin-Za is operating during COVID-19 for delivery via Wolt. I am really happy we were able to experience it, as it has been a highlight of our local meals. Literally everything was excellent and portions were larger than expected, so we had leftovers for days! This is a great option for vegetarians, lots to choose from on the menu,

Amazing food and atmosphere. A great selection of authentic Georgian food and selection of Georgian wines all delivered by Hercules, the owner, who greets everyone and keeps the dinning room running smoothly, not to mention a great humanitarian. I was in Germany this trip to provide aid to Ukrainian refugees and met the owner on the night before he drove this ambulance to Ukraine that he had donated to a hospital there. Wow! God bless him and his business for this great deed and his generosity.

Really great first introduction to Georgian cuisine. Also was pleased at the variety of vegetarian options offered. I would highly recommend coming here with a group of people (minimum 4) to try a variety of things. Their dishes seem to be catered to sharing. I think the key things you HAVE to try are the Khachapuri (pizza), Khinkali (dumplings), and Pkhali (hummus). Although they resemble common dishes that I'm already familiar with, they are presented and combined in such a unique way that I never could've imagined.

Kin-za is a tiny spot with limited seating. You can order and eat very heavy Georgian cheese pizza that looked like it had 3000 kcal :D or you can go for healthier options like the Georgian salad or what we did - a Mixed hummus plate for 10€ (normally 2.80€ each). We would get 5 scoops of each plus a small salad and bread. The beetroot was slightly sweet with incredible taste. We also loved the spinach one, which was not creamy in case you'd expect that. The salad was over salted but maybe that was on purpose to combine it with the scoops. Next time I'll just get a single scoop of beetroot and spinach. The portion for 10€ was a good deal. The scoops have a decent size.

First off can I mention that a bunch of the waiters are super attractive, this certainly doesn't hurt an establishment hahah. I had a spinach and cheese chachipuri and a Georgian dry red wine yummmmm I can't wait to return

Upon entering, the modern yet inviting ambiance is immediately striking. A subtle blend of sleek decor, warm lighting, and a meticulously crafted layout creates an atmosphere that is contemporary, yet undeniably cozy. And some of the best and friendly staff. Next time I'm in Berlin I have to come back. This place is a gem.

Having never been to the restaurant before, we were surprised by dark curtains covering windows which made the interior look mysterious and sort of speakeasy. So of course, immediately, we decide our (private) nye theme will be inspired by spy culture. So two top secret spies (east and west) enter the restaurant; our Trenchcoats (tis what spies wear) are promptly taken, but we keep our hats on .... and of course we have an amazing night. We're served champagne right away, generous and enough to get me tipsy right away. But even after skilled interrogation, I don't reveal any secrets except that I prefer white wine from Pfalz region. Each course is of course amazing, so we tear them apart finding the most obnoxious flaws like we were judges on Top Chef tv show. Me (East): this is NOT real butter served with 24 hours sourdough bread!!!!! Waitress: the butter is from France My husband (West): calf's brain...really...hell nouuuu...I mean, not seasoned enough At this point we're on our 2nd bottle of wine discussing global politics and maybe tad bit too loud. Our server doesn't judge us, just the opposite she is wonderful and even taking interest in us, which we immediately recognize as spying attempt: 1. Where are u from, what brings u to Berlin, and where are you going next Skillfully we avoid giving her any real information, we lick our desert plates, and run off into the night to our next adventure. Loved: pearl onion dish and fermented pineapple dessert Pass: sourdough bread and gazpacho EUR 150 for 9 courses and a glass of champagne.

Most recently we enjoyed the buffalo milk ricotta appetizer, dusted with truffle shavings - delicious!! The lamb ragu pasta was also excellent, the perfect amount of sauce and seasoning. Same for the beet gnocchi with ricotta filling - wonderful! The server was attentive and nice to let us try some different red wines before choosing. Very nice people, cozy atmosphere and good food - what else could you ask for. The only disappointment was the dessert. I have high standards for panna cotta an their recipe didn't meet them. It was too gelatinous, lacking good cream and vanilla.

We started with the mixed antipasti which were excellent and perfectly executed. There is a good selection of meat and cheese on the board. As a main we choose the pasta, the octopus pasta was amazing flavoured making you believe you are diving into the fresh sea. The orecchiette with italian sausage and mushrooms was perfectly balanced and an amazing dish. Also the wines are very good and reasonably priced. A full thumbs up, already looking forward to our next visit.

The true definition of a Michelin 3 star is someplace worthy of a detour. While it wasn't quite a…read moredetour, we did pick Berlin over another destination given the opportunity to try RUTZ. Where to start??? 1. Timing - stars aside, the restaurant serves a 12 course menu, at 15 each, that's 3+ hours... comments not withstanding about length, it is to be an evening event. Not meant to be consumed while watch timing, meant to be enjoyed at its fullest.... It is a process but well worth the time investment 2. Flavor profile - every course delicate yet balanced. Never too heavy, just walking the balance of the ingredients 3. Ingredients- in the heart of winter, they manage to maintain a variety of foraged vegetables 4. Cooking style - creative yet respectful to traditional cooking methods, you will see some unexpected treatment (puréed sauerkraut and fried into chips???) but not "magic" 5. Philosophy- a humbled and relaxed approach, nothing stuffy about the place, for a guy who has every bragging rights, Chef Marco is down to earth, friendly and humbly devoted to his craft. Last but not least, what's a meal like this without the perfect wine pairing.... The som did a wonderful job. Each dish paired beautifully with the right kind of wine and the correct profile. All in all, very much deserving of their 3 star. I would come back to Berlin just to come here again. 5.

HOW DOES RUTZ HAVE ONLY 4 STARS ON YELP???…read more As a Yelp Elite, I am telling you to discount those sour-grapes reviews below (for example, someone cancelled their reservation and blamed the restaurant for that). Rutz has great food and great service served by professional staff who clearly (a) know what they are doing and (b) care about making sure that every diner has an unforgettable experience! Having earned 3 Michelin Stars, one must EXPECT Rutz to be a sensational restaurant! And it certainly is that! While that is not always the case, with Rutz, they somehow far exceeded expectations! If I could vote to give them a fourth Michelin Star I would do so in a heartbeat! They clearly deserve a Fifth Yelp Star! We had some dietary restrictions and they were met cheerfully and complied with strictly, without so much as a look askance. I am extremely knowledgeable about wines generally, and specifically about German wines. I almost never order the wine pairing because it almost always disappoints me (too young, lacking in complexity, lacking in quality, or all 3!), Rutz is the rare exception! Their wine pairing was mostly delicious and brilliantly selected to enhance the food courses with which the wines were paired! Chardonnay with Caviar? From now on, YES! There were some intriguing pairings that were off-the-chart perfect. In that the wine enhanced the food and the food enhanced the wine and both were elevated by their marriage that was either made in heaven, or, possibly, in the mind of the Head Sommelier who clearly knows what he is doing and, even more importantly, was able to explain, guide, and educate, all at the appropriate level(s) for the various audience(s). The best part of all was that he came and poured us each a taste of wine so we could decide whether to accept (and pay for!) a glass or wait until the next course. I have never seen that before and every Michelin Star Sommelier should adopt the generous practice! If your travels bring you to Berlin, you simply MUST dine at Rutz!
