Every time we've been there I believe it is the owner that takes our order. He is so welcoming and nice. We always order the pumpkin curry and the crispy pork. What makes it amazing is the different sauces that come with the dishes. They have a vinaigrette that the pork comes in and it makes it so good. My mouth is watering thinking about it!! Absolutely delicious! Ordered chicken satay, portion of chicken was large & sauces were perfect. Perfect for sharing. Yellow curry was the best I've had, loaded with chicken and delicious carrots & potatoes. Asked for a level 3 spice, perfect for me. Their restaurant was well maintained, very well decorated and had lots of seating for all party sizes. We ordered to-go and were offered seats and given iced water in a glass while we waited. BUT... within 5 minutes of leaving the lunch service (chicken soup with lemon grass, and other items), I got nauseated. I sat in my car for 15 minutes but it didn't go away. I enjoyed everything about Kin Thai. The atmosphere was lovely with several plants and decorations. The food was authentic, flavorful, and presented beautifully. In visiting this place half a dozen times we have come to expect the excellence that we see every time... food once reserved for kings and queens. This hidden gem in Medford is rarely fully but never empty. They are certainly contenders for the best Thai food in Southern Oregon if not the greater Oregon/PNW area. Tonight we enjoyed Shumai, chicken coconut curry noodle soup, and the duck noodle dish. Exceptional! The Shumai is a must for every visit! The duck was perfectly cooked with the most surprising and delicious sauce on the noodles. The coconut curry soup was mouth watering and I had to package it up to keep from eating the whole large bowl. Please support this place and keep them in business! Love, love, love this cute and chic Thai spot. The decor is modern, the space is sleek and clean. The first positive was how friendly the staff was. A gentleman welcomed me in and gave me a run down on the menu since it was my first time in. Hospitality here is top notch. I ordered curry to go. The portion size was HUGE, one order seriously could of fed two people. The curry was flavorful with vegetables cooked just enough so that they were crispy and not soggy. I got this food TOGO on my lunch break for me and my coworkers. I ended up getting the coconut curry chicken which was outstanding. I swear walking into this place I stepped into there house with the ambiance being so colorful, calm, and peaceful. I got my lunch and it was so yummy. I swear it felt like I walked into there kitchen at home and chowed down like we have been friends our whole lives. Comfort food at it's finest. the food was incredible went here with my mom and sister the portions were absolutely huge and the food was so tasty. We had the pad Thai, chicken biriyani, and shrimp fried rice. The chicken was so tender and the the pad Thai was so flavorful. The service was amazing the food came out in less than 10 minutes and the man was so kind and accommodating, he helped us work around our allergies and checked in on us to make sure we loved our food. We came here while I am visiting from Long Beach. My girlfriend lives in Ashland, and we both love Thai food. We tend to feel strongly about leaving good reviews, but sometimes forget. This place is phenomenal. The pricing is very great with the amount of food you get. It's difficult for me to feel full with just one item. I'll usually get two, and then take a little bit home. But one plate each and the spicy lard salad was more than enough. The spicy Corn Salad is just spicy enough, with great flavor. Peanuts, lettuce, chicken, tomato, corn, carrots, onion, and spicy sauce. I honestly was getting full just splitting this. I was going to get the Shamai dumplings, but our server, or the owner, let me know there was pork and shrimp in there, which was so nice and considerate of him because I can't do shrimp due to a shrimp sensitivity. That would have been my fault in ordering that, so kudos to him for thinking about allergens. I loved my Panang Curry. It had peas, carrots, green beans, bamboo, and I had tofu instead of chicken. My girlfriend doesn't like Panang and she tried it and said it was too sweet for her, which is how it normally tastes, but I loved it. She got red curry and she loved hers. A good amount of chicken with broccoli, red bell peppers, and it had a good kick to it. Our server brought out a bottle of water for us with a couple glasses and we were happy. I would definitely come back, and recommend anyone looking for a solid Thai food place to give this place a shot. read more

Holy COW this place is so good! The grilled pork skewers with rice was really flavorful but the headliner main event dish was the Hainan Chicken with their homemade Asian salsa hot sauce. This is one of those sauces that you want to bottle up and take home with you. Pour that over the Hainan Chicken and you'll have yourself a meal you won't ever forget. For those who don't know what Hainan Chicken is; it's a popular dish in Singapore/Malaysia with root origins to Southern Chinese cuisine. My parents are big fans of Kin Thai so brought me here when I was last in town so I could see what all the fuss was about. Spacious and well decorated, the restaurant felt welcoming. The owner (pretty sure he is anyway) was very friendly and was happy to help with recommendations. Another review mentioned not having any vegetarian options, but that isn't true. While the menu exclusively advertises chicken and pork dishes, you can get most anything subbed with tofu instead of meat. I ordered the mango curry with tofu. While it took quite a while to come out (my parents were already halfway through their meals by then), when it did it was worth the wait. Absolutely bursting with flavor. Not overly sweet but we'll balanced with a little heat. I look forward to eating here again on my next visit. read more

Ordered chicken pad thai. No big deal. Get home, i dont know what this is, but it tastes like noodles in ghee. No sweet amd sour flavor of pad thai, no spiciness. I have been to Thailand 3 times and this guy nails it with everything from decor to the classic Thai Kindness attitude. Updated review - I still love this place! The interior has been updated since I posted a year ago - and it's clean but jungle like vibe is wonderfully more cozy. I love me some tastefully bright textiles, baskets & plants a la Jungalow. The food was amazing as always but when dining-in the presentation of the Chicken Khaw Soi was stunning. A bowl of sculptural crispy noodles rising up over a rich curry of warm ribbon noodles, a whole chicken drumstick, and a bevy of other treasures. I'm a huge fan of the spicy eggplant special as well. Each dish is about $15 but so big we could only eat half & saved the rest for another meal. Remember you can ask for tofu & veggies in place of meat if that's not your thing. The menu is simple - which is great - but it appears like there are less vegetarian options than there are. If in doubt - ask. They are lovely. read more

Wow. That's literally what my husband and I kept saying throughout our entire meal, probably about 127 times. SO delicious! The spring rolls were fresh and served with the perfect peanut sauce. My crispy pork noodles were in fact crisped to perfection and accompanied by the most wonderful sauce on the side. Hubs got the massaman chicken curry... oh my word A-mazing! Some of the best Thai in town. A friend tried and loved it and as Asian food fans, we had to try it and it was amazing. To-go only right now during the COVID lockdown, but the place was so inviting and the lovely tables were well spaced, we look forward to coming back when dine-in is allowed. One of our new favorites for sure. We shared the Chicken Panang Curry and added the steamed veges and had it with brown rice which was actually purple with a great flavor. All three went well together as the curry was pretty spicy sending us into the rice to cool off. With the veges there was plenty of food for both of us. read more

The first time I came here I couldn't believe how good my experience was. I ordered "dine-in," ordered the lunch special "chicken and spring rolls. It was so much food it was insane, and it was insanely good I couldn't even believe it. My only gripe was that the salad had too much dressing, but I'm the only weirdo on earth that would complain of too much dressing. And I honestly feel like the salad dish came as it was 100% supposed to be, I'm just too white to handle it. I had the Thai coffee as a drink and I had to throw away my already existing iced coffee to make room for it. Though I will say it was slightly on the sweeter side. (Which I prefer less-sweet) But as perfect as my food experience was, I can't believe how good the service was. It has to be the owner, he is amazing. I came another time and ordered to-go. They were out of duck, which was slightly disappointing, but understandable as I placed the order 20 minutes before closing time. So I ordered the chicken Panang curry and of course the spring rolls again, it's insane good I'm still eating it. I wish I saved a picture of the food. I almost never write reviews. I love Kin Thai! Delicious, authentic food. Generous portions, and most items can be made vegan. Great service from very sweet people. The menu is not huge, but to me that's a plus. I appreciate that they focus on a limited number of items for which they can always have fresh ingredients and skillful preparation. Other reviewers have talked about the ambience. I love that too. This is definitely not a Bangkok vibe... No black walls and neon signs. Kin Thai wants to welcome and comfort you, not impress you with how much they paid their interior designer. This is more like a place you would discover on a dirt road on the outskirts of a small town in the Thai countryside. You're not going to get a view out over the rice paddies in Medford, but you do get the relaxed feeling, the cheerfully mis-matched furniture, and the lovely wall hangings of Thai village fabric. Ordered the green papaya salad which was VERY large and so fresh and tasty. Also had the chicken skewers...it came as strips that were not cut the right direction so they were tough. So I tried this "new" Thai place and found out that's it's been open for 3 years now! Takes me awhile to get around my own town, I see. It was delicious! I had the salad rolls with peanut sauce, the Tom Kha Gai soup and rice. The salad roll portion is 3 rolls, and the soup was a huge bowl!
