Chicken!
Robert P.

Been here quite a few times when visiting family. Food is really good, service folks are very nice however service can be slow at times. Worse problems in life, but something to be mindful of. This review includes the Banchan, Be Bim Bap, Soft Tofu Soup and bbq chicken. Yum!

Stone bowl bibimbap

Staff were friendly and patient. We ordered the stone bowl bibimbap (crispy rice was so good!) and the dinner course for 2. The staff came by and helped grill the meat for us which was nice but a different experience to what I was used to which is grilling it myself. The food was delicious!

Delicious. Perfectly balanced, high quality food. Unexpected surprise on the Peninsula. I'll be making the drive up to enjoy more dishes next

Had a great diner here. Service was wonderful. Luckily we were able to get seated quickly on Valentine's Day. This is a nice restaurant next to Bristol farms. Ambiance is good, it's family friendly. Good menu options. Quality of the food was great.

Having kbbq in PV is insane. Never did I ever imagine this happening, all the kbbq and anything asian would usually be in Torrance or Gardena. Anyway, that's not to say this isn't a welcome addition. Contrary to that, Kim's BBQ is a huge welcome to PV. It's not AYCE and it's pricier but it works. They'll cook the meat for you and yadda yadda. The one quip I do have is that the standard stew and steamed eggs are add-on options instead of being included with the combos. Now they serve non-Kbbq food as well and also have lunch specials if you want that instead. We'll have to try that next time, but everything overall was pretty decent for what you can get in Palos Verdes. The restaurant is a little small but it can get real busy especially on weekends. But for your convenience: Kim's BBQ.

Place was hopping. I grew up on the hill and have seen so many restaurants come and go. We love Korean BBQ and weren't looking forward to drive down the hill and wait an hour + at that G*** for all you can eat. This place meat is quality! The appetizers were good. They have a system where they cook for you instead of you DIY. The boss seemed to be watching and he jumped in and help change out or grill as well as turn our meat. I will be back next time I am in town. Maybe a bit pricey but worth it!

Great Korean BBQ option in the South Bay. The meat and veggie selections were excellent. They also offer a variety of traditional Korean beers and other beverages. Highly recommended!

Dropped by this place on a recent Saturday to try out their bbq. So glad I did…read more Everything I had was spectacular. I ordered the following items from the menu: St. Louis-style ribs, Beef rib, brisket, potato salad, coleslaw, and chili. The St. Louis-style ribs were very easy to bite into and flavorful. The beef rib (only available Fri.-Mon) was perfectly tender, smoky, and fatty. The bark wasn't excessively thick, which I appreciated. The brisket, which I got the fatty part of (they ask you if you want the lean or fatty cut) was my favorite of the three. So fatty, juicy and satisfying to eat. None of the meats really needed the sweet bbq sauce I got with the meal. The side items were spot-on as well. The potato salad, coleslaw and chili were the best I've had in quite some time. I regret not getting some chili to go. I have a sneaking suspicion a nice helping of it on hotdogs would be amazing. Can't wait to come back to this place. Forgot to order the jalapeño sausages while I was here. Looking forward to trying that on my next visit.

Wow, back again, and once again, a great experience!…read more We had a party of nine and were seated at a great table along the back wall on the left side when you walk in. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy the meal. The service was excellent all night. Russell was outstanding and truly an asset to this establishment. He was quick, friendly, attentive, and always on top of things, making sure his table (my table!) was happy and well taken care of throughout the evening. No issues whatsoever. The food kept coming, and the buffet bar offers a great variety of extras and side dishes that you don't have to cook yourself. Everything was well-stocked and fresh. Since I was paying the bill and taking the time to write this review, I wanted to make sure a well-deserved update was shared. No complaints, great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. Stop in, give them a try, and enjoy a great meal with friends, family, and loved ones! Highly recommended!

ZERO STARS IF I COULD! WORST KBBQ EXPERIENCE EVER…read more Never trust a Korean BBQ restaurant that doesn't even seem to have Korean customers dining there! I wish I had trusted my gut because my entire family got sick after eating at 92K BBQ in Torrance. We spent over $200 on dinner, ordering mostly brisket and short ribs throughout the night. The first red flag was the short ribs. The meat looked GRAYISH, pale, and honestly questionable. I've been to plenty of Korean BBQ restaurants, and the short ribs are usually bright red or marinated. These looked old and completely unappetizing. Something just didn't look right. That same night, my mom and brother started experiencing stomach aches. The following morning, I developed severe stomach issues and spent THREE WHOLE DAYS practically living on the toilet. It was genuinely one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I became so dehydrated that I ended up going to the ER. I strongly suspect we experienced food poisoning from this restaurant. But what made this entire experience even WORSE was the complete lack of customer service and accountability. I contacted the restaurant and left a message for the manager, Kris, explaining what happened to my family. I was promised a callback, but NEVER received one. I had to go out of my way to call MULTIPLE times just to get ahold of her. I even attempted to submit a complaint through their online form, but their website wouldn't allow me to send anything! When I FINALLY spoke to Kris, I was shocked by how dismissive and unapologetic she was. There was absolutely NO empathy or concern for the fact that multiple members of my family became sick after eating there. Instead, she immediately suggested we must have gotten sick from somewhere else. And here's the part that really got me: She actually told me that their short ribs are SUPPOSED to look gray. EXCUSE ME?! Since when is gray-looking meat something a customer is supposed to feel comfortable eating?! That explanation did absolutely NOTHING to reassure me about the quality of their food. I also asked about a refund or some form of compensation considering we spent over $200 on a meal that was followed by days of stomach problems and an ER visit. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, I felt completely brushed off. Imagine spending over $200 to take your entire family out for dinner, only to spend the next three days sick, dehydrated, and regretting every bite. The food quality was questionable, the management was dismissive, and the customer service was absolutely unacceptable. I understand that restaurants can't automatically be blamed every time someone gets sick, but when multiple people from the same dinner experience similar symptoms afterward, the VERY LEAST management can do is show some compassion and take the complaint seriously. ZERO STARS. I WILL NEVER RETURN. Save your money, your stomach, and your health. There are SO MANY better Korean BBQ restaurants out there that actually care about their customers. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

It's warm, it's tidy, and it smells like happiness sizzling on a grill. The service was smooth, friendly and efficient. They check on you just enough to make you feel cared for, but not enough to make you wonder if they're trying to adopt you. Respectfully attentive, the way all service should be. Now let's talk food, because this place had me rethinking my bellies choices. The spicy beef soup pulled up like a warm hug from someone who also isn't afraid to roast you. Flavorful, comforting, and spicy enough to remind you you're alive. The beef ox tongue, wow ..listen. If you've never had tongue that melts like butter and grills up with that perfect little snap, this place will convert you. I was out here chewing like I was signing a peace treaty. The prime rib‑kalbi was so juicy and tender I almost apologized to it for eating it. Almost. The kimchi came in hot with the tangy attitude, balancing everything like the responsible friend in the group chat. And the raw beef tartare. So delicious and clean, fresh, and seasoned like it went to culinary private school. I took one bite and immediately felt like I should be wearing a fancy watch. Overall, Sei‑Ko‑En is cozy, clean, delicious, and unintentionally comedic, because every dish had me making faces I hope nobody recorded. A must‑visit for anyone who loves Japanese BBQ with Korean soul and a side of "wow, I didn't know food could do that." Exploring great food, one bite at a time! Miguel C.

I've always wanted to come here and I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger. I can't believe it took…read moreme this long because I'd be a frequent customer many years ago if I had come sooner. This restaurant opened over 40 years ago in the 1980s. They have not changed their seasonings or recipes since then. A lot of their sauces and kimchee is made in house (and has not changed in over 40 years). This is probably the best Japanese BBQ experience I've ever had and I've had A LOT of BBQ experiences. My favorites are items you typically cannot get anywhere else. Their raw beef liver sashimi and their raw minced beef are amazing. It's really hard to find these creations. If you like liver, then you'll be an instant fan. If you're a little squeamish then you can always grill it a bit before you eat it lol Their cuts of meat are also a league above the rest. I loved them all! Their wagyu tongue, negi tongue, gokujo kalbi, tokujo ro-su, and pork belly are all worth writing home about. They also serve vegetables and salad to go with the BBQ. We also tried their yukkejan soup which is their spicy beef soup. It was very tasty. Savory and not too salty. Very well balanced. I'd eat this alone on a cold rainy day. The ambiance is busy with moderate noise. Lots of Japanese locals were there that night and were simply having an amazing time socializing. Overall 10/10. Definitely coming back!
