I dropped off my board with Gene, and he gave me a selling price that I agreed with, I signed up and registered with his system, where after selling the surfboard, he would electronically wire the money to me. Within one week, Gene was able to sell the board and wire me the proceeds. The service was excellent, and the process was easy. Most importantly, I was living in a small apartment and did not have the space to store 2 long boards. This way I drop off my board to Gene, and I didn't have to store my boards while trying to sell it myself. Highly recommend.

However, the quality of the work on my board was very disappointing... I appreciate that they paint-match their repairs but the blue overspray was very obviously on my yellow deck. Cosmetically, this was the only issue but what really bothered me was the structural issues. After the first couple of times taking the board out, cracks started to show up in the areas that were repaired. I wouldn't think much of it if this was an issue with the board being old but only where the dings on the rails were, identifiable by the new paint, the board was brittle and crumbling :( Because of this, I took it upon myself to learn how to do my own repairs. I'm not saying to not support these guys, but definitely get familiar with the repair process and make sure you're getting quality work. I probably won't end up dropping my board off at ANY repair shop anymore but for what's it worth, service was good and the repair was quick.

Went to a store at Alamoana today to get slippers. Not one…read morepressing greeted me when I went in. Three people walk right past me ... some grumpy woman who was building something on the wall... this other young boy looking at me like what are you doing in my store? While the whole time I'm trying to figure out the sizes and the straps for them make your own slippers. There was a bunch of sales people behind the register talking to who I found out was the regional manager. I was gonna talk to him about the service, but he looked grumpy as hell so I thought it wouldn't even make a difference if I talk to him. Finally the girl who rang me up got the right straps for my slippers put it all together and gave me the buy one get 1/2 off discount. But in all ... no aloha in that store. It could've been a mainland store. Sometimes I don't understand our local people who work in service oriented jobs ... No aloha. Mahalo, I will not be back.
