I called A+ Nail for an appointment, the gentleman I spoke to and I agreed on 1:30pm. I showed up a few minutes late. Upon arrival there were four or five technicians working on people, so they sat me down at pedi chair and this is where the problem started...I waited a good 5-8 mins before someone came to start pedi. Once pedi began, I was again to wait for a different tech to come finish pedi and paint my nails. While waiting, I observed a tech taking care of two people at the same time. ?!?!?! I'm totally confused why they'd do something like this. I feel they take on too many people for the amount of techs they have. I would not go back, just wasn't a good fit for me.

I booked a full highlight and haircut for noon, and on the morning of my appointment, my stylist asked if I could move to 2 PM to better accommodate her schedule. I agreed. After processing my highlights, my hair was washed and toned. My hair is very fine, but I have a lot of it, and it tangles easily. She then spent nearly an hour detangling my wet hair with an extremely fine-toothed comb, which I have never experienced a stylist using to detangle wet hair. At no point was I told I would be charged an additional fee for this or that the time spent detangling meant there would no longer be enough time to complete my haircut. After about 2.5 hours, my appointment was abruptly ended because the next client was waiting. I was sent home with my hair soaking wet and uncut and told I would have to come back another day to finish the service I had originally booked. I was then charged $225: $140 for highlights, $25 for additional product, $25 for toner, and an unexpected $35 "detangling fee" that was never discussed with me beforehand. I called the salon twice afterward because I was so frustrated with how this was handled. My stylist later explained that she couldn't finish my appointment because she had already pushed her next client back 30 minutes. I found that particularly frustrating considering I had moved my own appointment by two hours that same day specifically to accommodate her schedule. I understand that appointments can run long and additional product can cost more. What I don't find acceptable is adding an undisclosed fee and ending a booked highlight-and-cut appointment without completing the cut or even drying my hair because the next client was waiting. I was offered another appointment to come back for the haircut, but after this experience, I have no desire to return.

I am extremely disappointed in my service, as I did not get what I asked for (I am a college student and don't get my nails done often) and I felt embarrassed for not understanding what she said. Also, when I used to receive dip for my fingernails, my nail tech would file the sides of my nails so hard that I left with cuts on each side of my fingers from the file. They would bleed and hurt for the next week.

Walk in and its really inviting. Salon space was kind of small but welcoming and homey feeling. There are 3 ladies that work there and they were all really nice and funny. I got a simple cut and eyebrow wax. Price was amazing and Becky did a great job. Will definitely be going back in the future and cant wait to bring my daughter in for a cut and color in the upcoming weeks!! Great little place! I live in DeWitt but will gladly drive to Holt just to have this salon be my hair place from now on!

I've been having my nails done since 1985 at various salons and this is by far the best one. Lisa does my nails but I think anyone there is wonderful (though Michael doesn't do pink and white). I do wish they'd display the latest collection of opi instead of mingling them with others but that's because I like reading the names chosen for each theme. But that's minor and probably due to language differences. They also do waxing of eyebrows and (in my case) other facial hair. And their pedicures are to die for. Not the cheapest place in town. Unannounced they decided to no longer purchase Aveda color. Their colorists were not advised about this nor did they have an explanation for the colorist to give to the client. What do you do when you sit down for a hair color and the colorist changes the product you love? You have no choice right then and there. I am not happy at all with the results, sure they will offer to fix it. Who wants to spend another 2 hrs at the salon. A phone call to warn me would have avoided my INTENSE dislike with how this was handled. I will find a better salon that treats their customers with respect. It is totally unprofessional to be treated like this without a call to give me an option to change my hair color treatment before I actually came in for my appointment.
