You should also know ahead of time that the prices quoted are if you're paying in cash. There is a service fee for paying with card. I always enjoy my time with my nail tech, she is always friendly and professional. Everything is organized and well cared for. They just want to get your nails done as fast as possible, and they don't care about quality. I got dip with tips and the base looked awful, each nail had bubbles, were different shapes and when I corrected the person doing my nails they got visibly annoyed. If I'm paying over 70$ to get my nails done, you'd think it would be reasonable for me to expect good nails, but apparently I can't expect that. read more

I came in on July 1st for a pedi. I had Mary doing my nails. I asked for a basic pedi - just normal polish. She asked me if I wanted shellac, I told her no. She asked me again, and I said no. At the end, I was charged for shellac when I told her twice that I did not want it. She was also very rude. She mumbled under her mask when talking to me, so I had to ask her to repeat herself and she'd get angry. I am extremely disappointed in my service, as I did not get what I asked for (I am a college student and don't get my nails done often) and I felt embarrassed for not understanding what she said. Also, when I used to receive dip for my fingernails, my nail tech would file the sides of my nails so hard that I left with cuts on each side of my fingers from the file. During the appointment, the process felt rushed and overly aggressive. By the time I left, my hands were already throbbing, and within hours they were literally pulsating in pain. It wasn't just mild discomfort--it was intense enough that I couldn't ignore it or sleep properly. I ended up having to get the nails removed elsewhere shortly after because the pain was unbearable. What's worse is that the damage didn't stop there. It's now been months, and I'm still dealing with visible bruising and sensitivity in my nail beds. They had me bouncing between people during one visit often. As for the quality of my nails. their dip is not strong and won't last long. This set I have pictured was my breaking point. These are my French nails after 5 days where you can see my natural nail through the base color. This was after I asked for a darker pink base but was ignored. I was overdue for a pedi so I went in and needed remnants of previous gel pedicure removed from my big toes. I just wanted regular nail polish put on - not another gel pedicure. Met a friend there so we were talking. Next thing I realize she's putting gel on my nails. I told her no, multiple times and she wasn't understanding. I was frustrated so I told her to just finish. Next thing I know she's taking off the polish. She still charged me full price for pedicure and I ended up leaving with no polish. So, $35 to have gel removed from two toes. read more

Probably the worst nail experience I've ever had. I'm in town for the weekend so this is my first experience here. I was supposed to be with Jimmy, who seemed very nice and personable. I waited for him at his station about 5 ish minutes, then someone asked if they could switch my tech (bc a customer came in after me and switched her service that she originally made her appt for). I said fine bc I had never been there and didn't know anyone. They told me to wait at a new station. After a few minutes, a woman sat down at the station and didn't say anything to me. After about 1 minute of no eye contact or any conversation, I told her I had a last minute engagement shoot tonight and proceeded to tell her what I wanted. She asked what color I wanted, I told her something neutral with rounded nails. I asked her opinion on a few selections and she didn't respond, she just stared at me. I asked again about what she thought and she didn't respond (I'm pretty sure she understood what I was asking). Then I showed her some photos on my phone and asked her if she had any suggestions that may be similar to those, she said "I don't look at photos, just pick a color." Then I asked if my finance could sit on the empty chair next to me (the whole row was empty). She said no bc there could be someone who needs an appt. He left to go wait in the car and she said he could come back and sit on the chair behind me but I was over it at that point. I was between two colors so I asked her if I could see what each color looks like on my nails against my skin. She said "no, I'm not putting it on, just look at the bottle." Then she hurt me with the nail file. Her work was just fine with some air bubbles and one nail had a big dent in the polish. I regret giving her any tip at all. I wish I would have asked for a new nail tech. Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but I think we sat at the first station on the left against the wall. I walked in for a basic manicure. It was the WORST one I've ever had. The man that did my manicure did not cut the dry skin or hang nails around my nails but yank them out. I just want to say that the customer service at this salon is impeccable. After my last visit (which really wasn't that bad), the owner and another employee reached out to me personally to rectify my previous experience and even followed up with me months later. I was and still am impressed at their dedication to making their customers happy, and for that reason alone, I will continue to recommend this shop to others. They are still going above and beyond with COVID precautions- wiping chairs down after customers, changing gloves after cleaning, shields at each station, etc. I feel very safe coming here. Wow! This is the best place to get dipping powder nails that I've ever visited. I'm SO impressed! The salon is beautiful. Very clean, very comfortable. I arrived early for my appointment and was struck by how professional it was. Not the rushed feeling so many nail salons have. Every technician was so attentive with their customers, and the customers all looked relaxed and happy. Even the way they display the color choices is better than I've ever seen. Kim was my technician today. She was very friendly and thorough. I've been getting dipping powder nails for the past 7 years. Kim used techniques today that I've never seen before but made so much sense! Removal of my old nails was much more quick and efficient. My new nails are so beautiful, strong, and perfectly shaped. I'm so impressed! I have a favorite place back in my home state of Oregon, but I wish I lived here because this is by far the most perfect my nails have ever looked. I saw a couple other negative Yelp reviews based on the salon's preference for cash. Yeah, so? Every salon I've ever visited prefers cash! There is a clear sign that indicates a 4% service charge for using a card. As a fellow small business owner, I understand the need for this. I came here for a shellac manicure today and was told that my nail design isn't possible (I asked for a celestial star design that would easily fit on my nails) and was cut on most of my fingers while my cuticles were being trimmed back. While shaping my nails the tech only used a file (that's fine) but left the ends thin, uneven and SHARP. While inspecting my nails before leaving a nail had a dog hair under my top coat on two nails and literal bumps on most of my nails. When asking to have it fixed the tech said and I quote "it's not that big of a deal. I can't even see it, why do you need it fixed" she only fixed it because I stayed in her chair and waited for it to be fixed. After paying for my nails she seemed annoyed to give me change (I paid in cash and needed change to tip). Safe to say I will not be coming back and will be going to a new salon tomorrow to have my nails fixed. read more

My nail look fabulous and Mai took her time and paid so much attention to detail (which is the most important part) My best friend got a pedicure from Amy and said she loved it. Their pedicures are customized in house and are all natural. We've been looking for "our salon" and have tried almost all of them in Lansing and surrounding area but never found one that we were pleased with. We ironically went to another salon earlier that day for a full set for my friend and a pedicure for myself and they didn't have time for my full set and her pedicure so we tried this place as well. Dip After only telling me about getting a full set (the most expensive option), I indicated that I was new to the experience and wasn't sure of all the options she made no point to get to explain the nail process or the difference between the options. There is NO place in the store telling what their prices or services are. During the service I told the nail tech (Amy) that I thought the nails looked thick and chunky and she told me that it was the way it supposed to look that way and later when I gave feedback on the service she told me I had consented to the service while it was happening. Let me just start by saying this place is so clean, very well sanitized, and they are taking the best covid precautions out of any salon I have been to in the last six months. Employees are so kind and want to give you the best experience. However, I have to leave this review because of an accident that happened last weekend. I was getting my nails soaked off and a metal piece with rounded small spikes was used on my natural nail with the electric drill causing a hole in the middle of my nail down to my skin. I'm not writing this review to shame anyone for the accident because I know accidents can happen. In fact, they were extremely helpful when cleaning the wound and very nice and did not expect a payment after the incident. So thank you for that! I just wanted to make it known that there's no reasons to use this metal piece on nails-- acrylic, dip, gel, or not-- it's doing a lot of damage. I've had acrylics for over 8 years and never once have seen this tool be used. The regular brown file that is used to rough up nails is fine, but if you see them using a piece like this, I would advise asking them not to use it. If my nail grows back, I will be asking for no tools to be used on my nails going forward, as it can all be done still by using a plain old nail file. read more

They have apparently large fees for charging cards but do not let you know up front, and proceed to make you feel shitty for not have cash to pay instead of card. Not a lot of people have cash. I'm a senior citizen who came in with my adult niece. I got my nails done and she got a pedicure and nails done. I was finished first and my nieces manicurist was still doing her pedicure. The manicurist put me in a pedicure chair and turned on the massager. I didn't ask to be put in the chair. When the manicurist moved my niece to do her nails the owner of the salon came over to me telling me to get out off the chair it's for pedicures only. There were at least 7 empty chairs. He embarrassed me greatly. Now every time I look at my nails I will be reminded of this incident. I have spent a lot of money at this salon and give great tips. The space is beautiful, but there are tons more chairs than staff.....I don't understand why they have so much more equipment than staff. I've been here three times. The first 2 were as walk-ins and they accommodated me. The third time I was told to come back another time - they didn't even offer when. I would have waited a half an hour or came back in an hour - but that wasn't offered. They really want people to use their online scheduler - but, it's super user unfriendly. In order to make a reservation you must select the nail technician, then you are allowed to select the services and date. But if your tech isn't working on the date you want, you have to start ALL OVER. Insane. I don't know the techs, let me pick my date and time first. Finally, their menu is ridiculous - you cant just order a pedicure. You have to choose from several options and it's a bit much. I don't know how to get a manicure w a dip application. If I go again, I'll try to figure that out. When I had my dip nails done the tech only filed my cuticles and applied the dip. I didn't get a nail soak or massage or cuticle oil or anything. read more

While the building is beautiful, my nails are not. I made an appointment about a week ago with Lily for a gel manicure and a "volcano" pedicure. They were particularly busy today I guess- they have a lot more chairs than people working. Lily was running about 15 min late so I waited. I get bad because she ended up sending away a couple little girls that wanted their nails painted because I had an appointment (after she already did the mom's nails). As I was there, they constantly had to turn away walk ins. So Lily sells me on trying the dip. It's a color I like, it's nice, but none of it was a manicure. She drilled off my cuticles, but that's it. She didn't ask me if I wanted them shorter (I play a string instrument so I wear them short) and she filed many of them crooked and my left thumb into a point. When I asked her to fix the point on my left thumb to match my right, she made it into a slightly rounder point. On the website they advertise completely single use equipment. I can assure you that the dremmel head was not clean, the sanding block was not clean and the file was dirty. She even had me on the same towel as the woman before me. As a result, she got hot pink on my pastel purple nails and she had to redo an entire nail. My nails are crooked and bumpy. Luckily I can fix these with a file (though I shouldn't have to). Pedicure is much better. My appointment was with lily for both, but I got passed off to Amy for my pedicure. This was the first time I was asked my opinion on anything. Amy asked me if the water temp was okay and if I wanted anything to drink. My pedicure turned out much better. Amy used what look to be autoclaved tools and a single use pumice stone. Considering this is what I came for, I was much happier. I got the volcano which included a fizzy soak, extra scrubs, lotions and the hottest towels in the world. Also, hot stones! I always get regular polish on my toes so it's nothing special. But Amy continually asked me if the temperature was okay and stuff like that. I definitely appreciated that aspect. So, in the end, this place has potential to be great if they staffed it to where they weren't rushed. I would probably feel differently if I walked in but I didn't, I had an appointment. Side note: lily ended up doing a pedicure while I had mine and made another woman scream/bleed... Twice... read more

We asked for designs three times as they forgot and then the technician didn't want to do it.
