The good: We got some flowers from here that were absolutely gorgeous and unique. It was a tropical arrangement with some flowers that were very uncommon. I liked how Japanese-esque the arrangement was and how artsy it was compared to the average round bouquet. The quality was great. They have a huge selection of different flower arrangements that are far greater than the average florist. For sympathy arrangements alone there were 12 pages worth of different shapes and flowers you could choose from. They had some beautiful shapes that I've never seen other florists do. The prices are very fair. They even have a rainbow wreath called "Circle of Love." Domestic delivery fees are $20. The bad: They're closed Sundays. Complete ripoff. Yelp, don't you dare move this review to the separate "not recommended" review list. And if it gets moved, I'll be posting again. Here are the issues: My mother spent over $200 for what they call a "luxury grade" flower package for the birth of her granddaughter. My mom was so excited and she decided to go over the top with this flower delivery. Instead, she was devastated...she wanted me to send her a pic, so I did so...and she was shocked at what they had delivered to us. I honestly thought she spent about $50 on it...which is $50 more than she should have for any flowers, since she shouldn't have... 1). Look at the picture. Is that worth $200? It can happen to you too. So don't use this business. 2). Card had my wife's name spelled incorrectly. Shows you just how much this store cares. My mom said she repeated the spelling a few times to make sure. Obviously the store didn't care. 3). See those 2 "congrats" balloons? There were supposed to be 3 because my mom paid $15 for them....and they were supposed to say "it's a girl". Congrats? That's all they can come up with? What, you had some extras in the supply cabinet or something? 4). That small teddy bear is a about 8 inches tall. My mom was told it would be the XL one, and it cost her an extra $30. $30 for the little stuffed animal. Nice profit margin on that huh, and how small is the small version, is it a keychain version 5). The card DID NOT SAY WHO THE FLOWERS WERE FROM. No "from mom" or "love, mom". So we had no idea who sent the flowers. Again, a huge lack of attention to detail. They just don't care. Is this the type of business you want to deal with on an important date, occasion, gift, etc? Flower arrangement was $59 online on Rut's Roses but when I got to pay there was an $18 service fee, surprise, right. Not very happy with that but I went ahead with it anyway. A local florist, Kim's flower basket delivered the flower and I had asked to send me a picture at the door. They send me the picture and flowers looked awful and old, nothing like the arrangement shown online. I had a nice long thank you note to go with the flowers assuming it would be typed as I did online but to my surprise and dismay it was a short hand written note. They matched the exact colors of the flowers with our theme, decorated a high arch gazebo, chair rows, tables, room areas, signs, and rose pedal path. Just incredible how nice it looked. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE--- THEY SUCK I have an aunt staying at the Stanford Hospital so I searched for florists near the hospital to send her flowers. I came upon Stanford Florists and checked that it was 2 miles away. Looked at their website but none of the arrangements convinced me so I called at 9am and asked for an arrangement with pinks, purples, blues and some yellows. Being that roses is my aunts favorite flower, I asked twice for them to include roses and gave them a good budget. She said she would text me when the flowers went out for delivery. Hours passed and I received no text but did check my account to find that I was charged not $5 OR $10 over the budget I authorized but $36. Called them and then she tells me well the delivery fee-delivery on the site said it was only $12.50, and that's when she says yes, but from Sunnyvale it's 16---first of all, she charged me $36 over not just the $16, second, I had zero knowledge that the flowers were coming from Kimm's Flower Basket 14 miles away and not Stanford Florist only 2 miles away from the delivery address. After her rude and not genuine apology, she did refund me the $16. At this point I was over it....until my aunt finally got her flowers at 4pm----the arrangement had NO ROSES at all..... This isn't about the money, making my aunt feel special after going through rough treatments is worth every dollar. It's about the fact that nothing was disclosed upfront, there was no sympathy or good customer service when I called, just attitude as if I did something wrong, and most importantly they did not include the only flower I requested to include. read more

I stop by at Kimm's for the occassional flower - it's hard to miss as a large sign points out the location right on El Camino in Sunnyvale opposite of the Cherry Orchard shopping center. A little mom&pop shop, although, "little" doesn't really do the place justice. It's an art gallery, event space, coffee sit-in, and, flower shop after all. They do have a good selection of flowers and bouquets and if you're not sure about your selection the owners will consult you in the best possible and friendliest way. For my needs I found it a bit too pricey but I agree with my fellow Yelpers, for big events this will be the right place to talk to. read more

There's not really much to review about a florist. Either the flowers are vibrant and healthy or they're wilting and dead. I had some flowers delivered to that special someone (she know's who she is) at her work on Valentine's Day. Deliveries like that are always an act of serious faith in the florist. I got the most gorgeous, giamongous arrangement of flowers from Kimm's on Valentine's day from a secret admirer. A dozen long-stemmed red roses, a whole bunch of white lilies and white orchids, as well. Let me tell you, it knocked me off of my feet! This was honestly the most breath-taking arrangement of roses I have ever seen, and I thought that before I discovered they were for me, so I wasn't even biased at that point. OK, I'm not quite sure why there are 2 M's here but anyhow. The hanguksarams (Korean people) seriously know how to hook it up. Kimm's is a rather large florist that seems to do it all, from regular bouquets to wedding arrangements. The place is a lot larger than most of the florists that I've ever been to. On two occasions, I went in with a general idea of what I wanted and on both occasions they've suggested something even better and still within my price range. Parking is around the back and woefully inadequate but there is also street parking. I've yet to try them for delivery without seeing the arrangement first, but I trust their judgment so far and I'll be entrusting them with my Valentine's Day business as well. My husband ordered a flower arrangement for our 35th anniversary thru FTD.com. He has been working with FTD.com for the past two days (our anniversary was two days ago) thru the original Florist. FTD.com kept telling us that they were going to deliver it in two hours and told us to wait until 8pm and that it was coming. Will it never came. So FTD.com finally put it thru a different florist which happened to be Kimm's Flower Basket. I wasn't expecting a delivery until tomorrow but to my surprise she delivered it after receiving the order from FTD.com 30 minutes prior.
