I came back for round 2. It's a little expensive however you get a ton of food that I was able to use as leftovers. The kimchi friend chicken was delish. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be which was good. I will definitely be back again!

Wow, amazing chicken and flavor! What a hidden gem. But holly cow, the portion size are huge! We had a couple of locals and they went home happy with tons of take aways.

I've been here a couple of times and I'm obsessed -- I absolutely love this spot! This time I tried the ramen noodles and they were so yummy and creamy. The fried chicken was topped with the noodles, and it was such a good combo! The portions are family-style, which I love. You don't have to wait long, the employees are super friendly, and there's parking right outside. Definitely go try this place!

I just moved in nearby and made my first pickup order, and It was all amazing!! I can't wait to come back for my next visit :) I enjoy korean cuisine and crave it often so I am pumped to make it a regular spot. I thought it was so sweet that i received a call that my order was ready as I was on the way Such a cute interior too!! Many compliments to the chef

My family has been talking this up for months, and the wait was worth it! Small spot, with delicious double-fried Korean chicken. We ordered family style and shared. Honey butter and Rose Chon were absolute hits!

Best fried chicken in the nation? Ok, sure, I'll bite. I've had this place on my radar for months, and I finally found time to grab some food here with friends and... it was alright. We went during lunch, and it was already packed. The place itself was smaller than expected, and it was a bit of a tight fit when everyone needs to order at the counter. At one point, there was a line to the door! There are two cashiers, and drinks are placed nearby, so it's hard to not be in the way. While dining in, it also felt cramped when there's people lining up to order near you, so hopefully you (and your group) are able to grab a good table to sit at. So the fried chicken is nothing spectacular. It was good, but it did not wow me. I would be just as happy (or maybe happier) getting Korean fried chicken from a chain (bbq chicken, Pelicana, etc.), esp given the price at Kimchi Red is higher but does not taste better. The chicken was cooked well and was crisp when we got it, but that's to be expected, right? The sauce was fine. Not my preferred, but we got Buldak bc of socials. It was very creamy, which helps fight against how spicy Buldak sauce is. Personally would've liked it to be spicier, but we all eat varying levels of spice, so it's better to play it safe. We also got K-Mega fries to share, and my friends wanted kimchi fried rice. The fries were probably the best part of the meal for me. It came out loaded and was much bigger than anticipated. Each bite was different from the previous and helped it not get too boring for me. The kimchi fried rice was surprisingly bland. The bits of kimchi you get in certain bites come through as sour, and it wasn't spicy. It looks great, but don't let that fool you. Get something else. Will I be back? Not by choice. If someone I knew wanted to go to try, yeah ok, I'll tag along to see if it got better, but I won't be planning on it. At least I know the K-Mega fries would be good and worth getting.

The food was amazing. Lives up to all the hyped on TikTok. They have seating but not like a large one. The service here was so polite. The pricing is about 30 bucks per entree that says it serves 2 but we felt more like 3 lol . Great for groups up to 6. Please come HUNGRY . No fountain machines but juice bottles and canned specialty sodas. They take Apple pay. This place is in a plaza not a stand alone. Would I go back? Yes but every blue moon, not that it's a bad place but way to much food lol watch my videos.

The food at Kimchi Red was decent, but it didn't quite live up to the price. We ordered the fried chicken with kimchi, half Krispy chicken, fries, and the bulgogi bowl. The fried chicken with kimchi had a generous portion size and could easily serve 2-3 people. The chicken was crispy and juicy, but there was way too much kimchi for my taste and it overpowered the dish. The half Krispy chicken was solid, though nothing extraordinary. Fries were average, and the bulgogi bowl was just okay according to my husband. Not a bad experience overall, but I'm not sure it was worth what I paid. The service was mediocre because it's counter service. You had to get your own water and clean up after yourself as if you're at a fast food restaurant.

My daughter saw this place on TikTok and has begged me for weeks to go check it out. We went on a Saturday afternoon and I was shocked it was in like a strip mall but it was cute inside. What I didn't like were the portions. Totally ridiculous you have to order so much food. Chicken is expensive and you have to get a shareable amount. We got the chef choice chicken with fried rice and the loaded fries cause we couldn't choose which side to order. I would just get the fries next time. Everything was good but we took so much food home. Will bring at least 4 people with us next time we go.

I really enjoyed my food, but the best friend chicken in Atlanta? Draggingggg it LOL no shade. I got the. #6 Fried Chicken plate on the Kimchi Red Menu. I really enjoyed the Japche, it was my first time having it. The chicken comes plain and you have to add your own sauces, I order 2, which were like $4.50. I took a star away bc the price point is too high to me in my opinion. My total was $26 for the plate, the add on sauces and a nasty gingerale that I didn't finish. I would go back if there was a happy hour/lunch menu. My food was done fast though, which I do appreciate. I called it in and it took me about 10 min to get there and it was done by the time I got there!

Let's start with the negative.... kind of but NOT REALLY lol.... it's small for the traffic it received. Got that out the way, now to the good stuff. Ambiance: really simple and clean. Service: The cashier was nice and very patient, because you'll find yourself torn on what to get. They do not offered fountain drinks, there is a cooler of drink.... which is a nice selection of Korean drinks. Once you complete your order, you're given a number for your table and the bring your food to you. You do get your order pretty quick and hot. Food: Omg everything was amazing!!! Don't come by yourself if you're planning to try different things because they give you so much if you ask me(a good thing) I had the K-Mega Fries and the Red Buldak....delicious, delicious and very filling. FYI: The parking lot is shared with several businesses, so parking can get though. Yesssss I seen one Tiktok and was worth all the hype!!!

Great food. Incredibly flavorful. Huge portions. The batter is tasty, even without the sauce. I will be back!

Wow! When you hear that, the best fried chicken in America is a couple hours away from you, you go! I've been here four times now and every time has been amazing. I always get boneless fried chicken with different sea things. I got the bulldog red last time. My son and I tore that shit up! The kimchi fries are go to favorite of mine also. Service here is always excellent. The restaurant itself is pretty small. It's very busy so be prepared to wait but the steaming hot chicken is worth any wait! The title layer is well desired. I'm always looking for a reason to go back to Alpharetta just to eat here.

Amazing fried chicken. Large portions though! Says for 2, but for lunch, I think 4 people can share an order of chicken, plus a side item.

What do they fry their chicken in?

What items on the menu are halal?

All the chicken I believe. It has a sign on there that says halal. I see alot of brothers n sisters with their family eating. So I assume it's legit. Obviously we can't eat the pork. I have tried their beef.

How many wings come in the Large order?

They do it by weight, but usually enough for 2-3 people per order.

This is the kind of place I used to frequent back in the San Francisco Bay Area, the kind of food that does not just satisfy a craving but completely takes over your mood. I am fairly certain my driving became questionable for a moment as I made a very committed turn into the parking lot. Walking in felt like a reunion I did not know I needed. Korean fried chicken, done right, is a very specific kind of joy. It is crispy, it is loud, and it does not apologize for it. Bonchon delivers on all of that. We went big and ordered the 30 piece boneless mix with soy garlic and Korean BBQ, because restraint did not feel appropriate for the occasion. The chicken came out exactly how I remembered it. Perfectly double fried with that signature crunch that somehow stays intact even under a generous coating of sauce. The soy garlic had that sweet savory balance that keeps you reaching for just one more piece, and the Korean BBQ brought a deeper, slightly smoky flavor that made it impossible to pick a favorite. It was less of a meal and more of a full experience. We also added pork potstickers with a soy garlic glaze, which felt like the correct life decision. Crispy edges, tender filling, and just enough glaze to make them disappear faster than intended. At some point I stopped pretending I was sharing. The place itself was spectacularly clean, which immediately stood out. The only hiccup came with the service. The staff were not unfriendly, but they were occupied at the register and did not notice that our order had been sitting behind them for a bit. We eventually walked over to check if it was ours. That extra wait took a little away from the experience, and the chicken was not quite as crisp as it should have been by the time we got it. It is the only reason this lands at four stars instead of five. There is something about finding a place you loved from another chapter of your life in a completely different state. It feels like a small win. My husband may not have been convinced that seventy eight dollar shorts were a good investment, but I would argue this detour more than made up for it. If you are anywhere near Alpharetta and have even a passing appreciation for fried chicken that takes itself seriously, this place still absolutely delivers. My heart, and my appetite, were very content.

The sauces are a real highlight, especially the gochujang-based one, which was absolutely phenomenal. They're generous with the sauce, too, which adds even more flavor to an already well-executed dish. That said, it's hard to ignore the price point. This is easily the most expensive Korean fried chicken spot I've been to. While the quality justifies the cost to an extent, it's still a noticeable jump from other similar places. And while the chicken is very good, it's not necessarily the best in Atlanta--though it's definitely in the top tier. Another thing that stood out was the lack of lower-cost or smaller portion options. There were only half and whole birds available, with no quarter bird or sandwich options, which makes it difficult for someone looking for a more affordable or lighter meal. It feels like they're missing an opportunity to appeal to a broader lunch crowd. In short: it's pricey, but you're getting high-quality, expertly prepared Korean fried chicken.
