I ordered three Beef Bibimbap bowls for takeout here. My online order was ready before the promised time. I was in an out and it was so fast there was literally no interaction between the staff and I. The bowls themselves were really good. Definitely very filling. The beef had great flavors and everything else that it came with made this dish taste very fresh and healthy. The rice at the bottom was just ok. But the highlight of this meal was the hot sauce that comes with the dish. It's thick and sweet with some heat. Definitely gives this dish the punch that it needs. My favorites that's I've ordered repeatedly are the japchae (sweet potato noodle) with pork and the kimbap with beef. The japchae noodles are soooo perfectly chewy and soft, yet they hold their shape really well! The noodles stay chewy whether it's fresh, takeout, or after sitting in the fridge and microwaved as leftovers. I don't know how they do it! I like the size of the kimbap pieces. They're substantial! And packed with fresh veggies. The sauce that comes with it is nice and light while also adding some good flavor. Highly recommend both dishes :) The ambience is super casual! The Kimchi Pancakes were awesome! Parking was a little tight but it was worth walking a couple of blocks. It's self serve, you order on a screen then your food is brought to your table. Nothing fancy but the food others were having also smelled and looked great. Note: We thought we found a parking spot a few blocks away but ended up with a $75 parking ticket. Small, cozy place with Korean basics. This was our first visit. The Korean Fried Chicken was delectably crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside. The glaze was not too spicy, but just right. My daughter ordered the Duk Bo ko, and I couldn't help but ask for a taste. So good. I had the tofu bibimbap (knowing we also had ordered the fried chicken). Perfect fried egg on top, loved it. There were 4 self-serve containers of banchan (for dine-in customers only, though). My favorite was the potatoes, which tasted like the soft hash browns. The radish was excellent, as was the Napa cabbage. The bean sprouts were suitably bland, to balance out whatever spicy food you might be eating. Overall, an excellent experience. Stopped in on a weekday evening for dinner. A pretty small storefront and only a few tables but there weren't many people eating in. Apparently the way to do it is to get the food to go. The food menu is not super extensive but I'm kind of indecisive anyway so it worked out. So we got the doeji bulgogi, which was probably the best thing. Saucy, flavorful, and well-cooked. The stone pot bibimbap was decent although not enough bulgogi. Also, the gochujang they brought to go with it wasn't that spicy. The seafood soondubu was really not all that great. Not very flavorful and the tofu was so crumbly and just kind of fell apart. Finally, the seafood pancake was really good. Lots of seafood and a very crunchy outer layer make for a delicious pancake. Just ordered delivery from here since I had seen it pop up on DoorDash every once in a while. I ordered the kimchi stew with extra pork, and the scallion pancake with kimchi. I had read from another review that the spice level wasn't too intense, so I was excited since I love kimchi stew, but can't handle too much heat. The entire order lived up to my expectations. The stew wasn't too spicy, and was packed full of kimchi, tofu, and pork. I ordered an extra side of rice because I thought I would need it, but one rice was perfect enough to make one meal, and there's enough for leftovers tomorrow. They were huge and you can tell the ingredients were fresh! The service was great. We ordered at the counter, but they served our food to our table. I couldn't recall if I've ordered before, so we decided to give it a try. It's nearby, so the food arrived relatively quick and still warm/fresh to each immediately. The Duk Bo Ki was chewy and sauce was tasty with just enough not be soggy or dry. Portion was small compared to price. The House Special Kim Bap was not worth the price either- it was underwhelming and not too flavorful. I've never seen a sauce come with Kim Bap from other restaurants.. I also didn't like that it instantly fell apart; maybe if the seaweed was on the exterior, it would've helped keep it together? On the flip side, Kimchi Pop Fried Rice was flavorful and the fried egg enhanced it, but for the generous serving of rice, one egg wasn't enough. It also lacked spam. Really excited for a local Korean place to open. The location is on Ashland and is rather unassuming. They are now open for weekend lunch as well which is pretty exciting if you want to avoid the dinner rush on the weekend. The menu is simple for now - some of the popular options including Bibimbop and soondubu, as well as more rare options like the Army Stew for two or the Korean curry! Interior is very clean and minimal, with a few tables in a small space. It's pretty casual with ordering at the counter. They are BYOB with no corkage / fee and provide self service wine glasses for you to use. Self serve ban chan as well is a plus! We came for the Army Stew which was absolutely delicious on a cold rainy day. The broth was very well spiced and extremely hearty, with an ample amount of savory goodies like sausage, spam and noodles. It was served over a burner to keep it warm. My friend and I live super close to Kimchi Pop and are happy to have an option like this in the 'hood. We wish they were open for weekend lunches but are very pleased to have Korean eats near us! :) I generally find Kimchi Pop's prices to be ever so slightly overpriced but their food is super solid. Masubi ($4 for one) is done pretty perfectly and delicious. Bulgoki Bi Bim Bop ($10) is a good sized portion actually but not a ton of protein in it. Most of their soups are about $12 except their Budae Jigae but that's a big ol' feast, most likely for 2 or at least for 2 meals at $27. All in all, I've liked everything I've had here and will surely be back when I don't feel like making Korean food at home. read more

Such a cute Korean food with all the comforting Korean food items in one place! The owner is even more fun and humble. All three of the items were all equally delicious. I started eating the Kimbap topped with the Dakgalbi and it made it 10x better which I didn't think could happen !
