Came here after I had an awful experience at a different Aspen Dental and it was like night and…read moreday. Staff were super nice, honest and to the point. My bill was a 4th of what the other aspen tried to charge me for less work. The lady in finance was super helpful and worked with the details of my insurance to find the best plan. Reception was also very sweet and worked with me to fill in a lot of missing details in my history regarding my insurance. These guys rock 10/10

After two weeks I decided I would rather just schedule another time so I called back in. The receptionist was very polite. She stated they had no hygienists at all. They had a cancellation list 10 pages long. They were not going to be scheduling new appointments at this time.

Unfortunately, things took a sharp turn when I began advocating for myself and asking questions about a filling that failed in less than two years, resulting in the need for a crown. I simply wanted to better understand what happened and discuss it further with the dentist. Instead of that conversation, I received a call from the office manager. The interaction was disappointing, to say the least. What should have been a professional discussion became rude, defensive, and unnecessarily confrontational. I was even accused of being disrespectful simply for asking questions and expressing concern about the situation. As a patient, I believe it's completely reasonable to ask about dental work--especially when something fails unexpectedly. A medical provider should be willing to have those conversations openly and respectfully. To make matters worse, I've since been notified of a certified letter from their office, I'm sure "firing" me as a patient. I'm refusing it and moving on. Rather than feeling supported as a patient, I now feel dismissed and uncomfortable. This has been incredibly disappointing given how happy I initially was with their care. I respected their expertise and felt confident in their services--until I asked questions. That shift raises serious concerns for me about how patient concerns are handled. I expected better communication, professionalism, and accountability. Do better.

You don't insult the patient, but have compassion for helping the patient see what you see on the x-ray. I was asking tough questions about their x-ray ? Why don't I see what you see ? This lady dentist put her hands on her hips and said plainly, "Well you're not a medical professional." True, but I'm a professional common sensor. Help me to understand ? Her mask upon her face blocked her facial expression and my physiognomy of her face was blocked. Credibility in the medical industry has issues. These issues can't be fixed by the patient, but the medical industry needs to rebuild their brand. Asking tough questions about one's health was always done with compassion and understanding. To say that I am one of those "anxious " patients would be an understatement, so when my long time dentist retired I desperately sought out a local practice that would provide a calm and clean environment to help assuage my anxiety. At first their staff seemed robotic but then when you get to meet them one on one, it all changes. The young lady tech I had, named "Jacey", demonstrated a sense of humor, impeccable professionalism and empathy. She knows her stuff and in short order, her patient. The doctor assigned to me, Dr. Cracium (Dr."C") provided sound advice and recommendations after learning of my background health issues. Within ten minutes, I was provided an estimate of the charges along with an explanation of what and why he planned. Best of all, the practice will do everything it can to handle your emergency- most of the time, then. no extended and interminably painful waiting. They'll also send you timely reminders so that you don't miss an appointment. These originate I guess from the gorgeous staff at the front desk ; an incredibly helpful and courteous group, incidentally.

The ages of my children are High School and middle. All three had sales pitches on buying one of their toothbrushes. Not appropriate and annoying as they are children. My kids stated it felt super awkward listening to sales pitches and buying a toothbrush from them. I have extra dental insurance, and it is still 25% more than the same services we received at our other dentist. Last week son went in.... he sat in the chair for 20 minutes. Dentist said he would be back in 5 minutes. Today was the final straw. 14-year-old crying during cavity...they ask if she can feel it... she responds yes, and their response is we are almost done. All three kids dislike this dentist, and my experience wasn't over the top. Dentist does not listen at all, and it is a money pit. DO NOT GO here...this is Appleton, Wisconsin. There are too many dentists in the area.
