Unfortunately I had a different experience than the reviews that led me to this dentist. They do…read morefar more imaging than any other dentist I've been to, but it's very uncomfortable. They take pictures (in addition to x-rays) which is something I did not want to do as I prefer to get in and out of the dentist as soon as possible. They stick a very large flat mirror into your mouth and shoot air down it and into the back of your throat. I repeatedly asked if the pictures were absolutely necessary and said "I do not want to do this" multiple times. The assistant taking all of the pictures did not listen to me. When more than 1 staff member hears the patient saying "no", I expect that they listen. This dental practice did not meet my expectations. They were quite pushy about fluoride, with 3 people giving me the same speech about how I really should have it. Even though I explained I wanted to get in & out as soon as possible, they still kept trying to push it on me. At the end, they used a tooth shade finder that came from a cabinet and physically touched it to my tooth, and then put it directly back into the cabinet. Who knows how many mouths that's touched. I do not recommend that anyone who is scared of the dentist go here as not being listened to is very traumatic.

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with smiles, apples/oranges, and water. After mere moments, they hygienists are ready for you (I even arrived to my appointment today AHEAD of schedule) and they will offer suggestions if you're dealing with any sort of tooth/oral issues. I had extreme sensitivity from exposed roots over my canines (beginning around 2005) that I have had checked out by SEVERAL dentists over the years, ranging from Wisconsin to Arizona. In 2007, I even had a skin graft done (where my dentist at the time took healthy tissue from the roof of my mouth and transplanted it over the roots of my sensitive teeth to act as "replacement gums"). I was told that my natural gums would accept this new tissue and it too, would form into natural gum tissue. This was okay for about a year... until the new tissue had disappeared all together. Ten years later (in March of 2015), when I finally couldn't handle the sensitivity any longer, I went to Apple Town Dental Care. I explained everything to the hygienist and Dr. Smith. It was suggested to me to have some composite filling done over my sensitive roots (they would basically extend my tooth upwards and cover the sensitive areas), so... I hesitantly scheduled an appointment for this "composite filling" a week later. It's been well over a year since Dr. Smith performed the procedure, and I cannot thank him enough. It has changed my life around! At one time, I couldn't have any drinks with ice in them because the sensitivity was so bad. Now, I have no problem drinking hot coffee or cold refreshments, and no fear of insane sensitivity when I brush my teeth at the wrong angle. Shout out to Dr. Smith, Sue, Carol, and EVERYONE else at ATDC! Keep up the excellent work so your patients can continue to be proud of their smile!!

This is the message I received today: Good Morning Matthew, We have you scheduled for a dental appt tomorrow at 4pm to look at your veneer. We only have a short amount of time for that appt, however, we do have an opening at 10:40am with more time to evaluate/fix the veneer. Please call our office at 920-437-3376 to let us know if this works for you.  Are you kidding me!? The day before my appointment and suddenly there is a "short amount of time"? This is very unprofessional. I can't rearrange my schedule at the drop of a hat. Wouldn't this be known (amount of time needed) when the appointment was made considering they knew EXACTLY what was being addressed in the first place!? Having no crown at all for two weeks has not been easy or entirely painless either. I could have made an appointment with a reputable company and not wasted my time here. Now I will have to find somewhere else and wait all over again to get this done! Thanks for absolutely nothing. I got an appointment at Parc Village Dental the same week I called them. They did a stellar job and had enough time for me, no last minute excuses either. I'm glad I went here instead since they know how to schedule enough time for an appointment and keep it. Thank you Parc Village for being professional and responsible. I appreciate my time being respected. You have my business and I will recommend you over Oral health to everyone I know!

She talked me into getting flexible partials that caused mouth sores. There was one small spot that needed to be smoothed out. It could have been sent back to the lab and on 4 different occasions she refused to fix the problem, causing severe mouth sores so that I couldn't wear my partials and this weakened my front teeth. My lower front teeth suffered severely, broke down and continually chipped. Recently, I bit down on a broken piece of tooth breaking one of my front crowns in the front of my mouth. This situation has led me believe that dentures are the only answer for me at this time. She is refusing to refer me to a surgeon to get dentures. Because of her, I am in terrible condition. I am switching dentists and do not recommend her services to anyone.

I admit my mistake by not double checking myself. Had the work done insurance pd just under $300 toward the $1,000 charge. Tried to talk to them every month for about 6 months, kept getting someone will call you back. Finally called the billing office, all I got was how do you want to pay this? No I am sorry this happened, just all thrown back on my responsibility. We are in our 70's I have never been treated like this. I then sent a letter to the Dentist, basically was told about the same thing I need to call billing office and set up a payment plan, which I have been making monthly payments now and since they have started charging me a monthly fee. On a positive note my Hygienist was very nice did a good job, Dentist was fair. Billing office manager if that's her title, was rude, and always right, lack of compassion for your story. Quite rude. I feel because this was both our fault, for the Hygienist insisting there would be no charge, and me not checking with insurance We should meet half way on bill due. They will not even consider. Just tell me to make arrangements to pay the bill. First and last dollar from me.
