If i could give zero stars i would!! First, I've only been going there for 1.5 months (4 visits) when i went their first time, i was given a form for referrals and if referral came there you'd get a 50$ gift card.. nothing else as told to me as far as rules of gift cards. My first visit was very uncomfortable, the assistant didn't know how to take a blood pressure, so it hurt when she did it over and over again and when i simply asked her if she knew how to take them she got very offended and said yes we were trained.. i told her i could do it if she wanted.. from there on out every time i went in she had a horrible attitude towards me even tried to tell me once how i should take my antibiotics etc.. like seriously that's none of her business and it was a preventative. She is very very unprofessional, rude, and just not a good fit for working with ppl. After the first visit, i got a call that my gift card would be in the mail.. 2 weeks, no gift card. I called and then was told my husband/referral, needed to pay his bill first then I'd get it but after explaining, 1. I wasn't told anything about that, only that i would get the gift card for the referral 2. Our insurance covered everything so there was no bill 3. Then i was told they would have it for me my next visit. Next visit, the assistant was rude, and no gift card. Was told they were out and would get more on that Friday. Then i had an emergency tooth pain that i was dealing with for awhile and it got worse.. i went in to get it pulled, the assistant was overly nice so clearly she was talked to but her niceness was dramatic almost insulting. As Dr was trying to drill a hole in my tooth it caused a severe pain that radiated through my body and caused me to go into an anxiety attack (never happened before) which i jerked and Dr got irrated with me even tho it was a natural human response with such great pain. I ended up having to go to a oral surgeon that day to get it taken care of... and again NO gift card even though the office manager, Rachel promised me twice i would have it... i once again called and left a message about how disappointed i was and if they were going to make things right to please call me.. No call!! This is how they run their office.. UNPROFESSIONAL NO INTEGRITY NO ACCOUNTABILITY... i was looking forward to going here for a very long time and now i wish i never did!! The only ppl who were nice and professional was Stephanie and Julie. I would not recommend them after all the issues with them during my very short time going there. read more

My family and I have been coming to Forest View for over a decade. Dr Grotenhaus and his team have always been professional and provided good, professional service. That is until this past year. We met in a small consultation room with Dr G and a staff member (she was wearing a clear face shield and no mask) for options on our oldest daughter's ortho options in May 2020. Dr G was NOT wearing a mask and even went so far as to comment about it and then still not put one on. We should have left then, however our other daughter was in the middle of ortho treatment, so we came back to finish her course. Today (Dec 23) we returned for follow up. One staff member had her mask below her nose and another (face shield lady) was speaking directly to a patient with NO, ZERO, NOT ONE BIT of protection on. Here's why I'm sharing this- the practice has shown my family and it's patients that it simply does not care for the health and safety of its patients and their families. They may be great at dental care, but they DO NOT CARE about the actual health or wellbeing of those people paying for their services. read more

My crown popped off yesterday when I took a bite of a delicious caramel apple from Sharky's orchard. I contacted Veronica and she got me in to see Dr. Grotenhuis today. My 10 year old daughter had a very poor experience with the dentist here. Our previous dental visits were no problem. She had 4 fillings already, never needed nitrous, and had no fear or concerns about going to the dentist. I said she would not need nitrous, but the assistant encouraged us to use it because it would "keep her more comfortable". I declined, there had not been a need on multiple dental visits in the past, why should she have gas this time? I then found out why. Inadequate anesthesia. It was painful. So maybe if you or your children go here, take the gas because the shots don't work! read more

As long as you pay your bill and don't ask any questions this is a fine practice. But if there is a problem and you have the temerity to speak up - watch out! No respect for the customer! My son's appliance broke during a cleaning. The repair was $100. When we asked for consideration toward the cost of the repair we were given nothing but attitude. If you are looking for a dental practice that takes you as a daily quota this is your place, got to funnel in as many people per day as possible. No personal attention. Need to pay off the new cottage up north. This place will not touch my mouth ever. I started going to Forest View Dental after I got married because it's where my husband was going. He chose to go here because of the Best of the Valley awards they have received. From my experience, I 100% understand why they got them. Everyone is greeted by name the moment we walk through the door. Every single person I've had contact with at the office is kind, happy, and welcoming. I've never felt so comfortable in a dentist's chair. I just started their Whitening for Life program and my teeth are visibly whiter after TWO days. I can't wait to see the progress after a whole month. The office itself is so cozy with the stuffed animal jungle for kids, the aquarium, keuring, magazines, comfortable chairs, etc. I love everything about Forest View. We brought our child for cleaning and they had a cavity. For the filling, the dentist, who was not professionally dressed and unkempt, tried to use nitrous. I noticed that my child was not at all feeling the effects and noted that the mask did not fit tightly. She proceeded anyway. She bent the Novacaine needle 2x trying numb. Difficult circumstance to numb, but that was the point of the nitrous in the first place. My child was screaming in pain. Eventually she got the filling done. That would have been enough to never come back, but the filling fell out less than 2 months later on a Friday afternoon at 3:03 pm. We called immediately and the office was closed. The "on-call" Dentist was OUT OF TOWN. He had my wife assess the tooth (she has no dental training) and said it could wait until Monday and that, if he had to come in there would be an emergency charge on top of the usual fees. This, even though their poor work led to the filling falling out. Certainly no apology. On Monday, we brought my child in and a different dentist started to try to evaluate the tooth. My child was understandably terrified and refused to let him look in their mouth after the previous Dentist did such a terrible job at numbing (this was my child's only filling ever). He then lectured my wife that she had spoiled my child and that they will now do this at every appointment. My wife took my child out of the office immediately and went home. She made an appointment with a pediatric dentist for the next morning. He indicated that the tooth continued to decay underneath the filling which was not done properly. This new dentist (at a different practice) did a TERRIFIC job and the tooth is still fine to this day. We now take all of our children to this pediatric dentist and have had ZERO issues with any of the children. Of note, the office staff and hygeinists there seemed very good and personable. DO NOT bring your child to this practice- or yourself for that matter. Really disappointing- they should be ashamed, but I am sure they aren't. read more
