Unfortunately I had a different experience than the reviews that led me to this dentist. They do…read morefar more imaging than any other dentist I've been to, but it's very uncomfortable. They take pictures (in addition to x-rays) which is something I did not want to do as I prefer to get in and out of the dentist as soon as possible. They stick a very large flat mirror into your mouth and shoot air down it and into the back of your throat. I repeatedly asked if the pictures were absolutely necessary and said "I do not want to do this" multiple times. The assistant taking all of the pictures did not listen to me. When more than 1 staff member hears the patient saying "no", I expect that they listen. This dental practice did not meet my expectations. They were quite pushy about fluoride, with 3 people giving me the same speech about how I really should have it. Even though I explained I wanted to get in & out as soon as possible, they still kept trying to push it on me. At the end, they used a tooth shade finder that came from a cabinet and physically touched it to my tooth, and then put it directly back into the cabinet. Who knows how many mouths that's touched. I do not recommend that anyone who is scared of the dentist go here as not being listened to is very traumatic.

I had a very positive experience with North Appleton Dentistry in the beginning. Both providers I…read moresaw were professional, and my hygienist was absolutely wonderful--kind, thorough, and someone I genuinely looked forward to seeing at appointments. Unfortunately, things took a sharp turn when I began advocating for myself and asking questions about a filling that failed in less than two years, resulting in the need for a crown. I simply wanted to better understand what happened and discuss it further with the dentist. Instead of that conversation, I received a call from the office manager. The interaction was disappointing, to say the least. What should have been a professional discussion became rude, defensive, and unnecessarily confrontational. I was even accused of being disrespectful simply for asking questions and expressing concern about the situation. As a patient, I believe it's completely reasonable to ask about dental work--especially when something fails unexpectedly. A medical provider should be willing to have those conversations openly and respectfully. To make matters worse, I've since been notified of a certified letter from their office, I'm sure "firing" me as a patient. I'm refusing it and moving on. Rather than feeling supported as a patient, I now feel dismissed and uncomfortable. This has been incredibly disappointing given how happy I initially was with their care. I respected their expertise and felt confident in their services--until I asked questions. That shift raises serious concerns for me about how patient concerns are handled. I expected better communication, professionalism, and accountability. Do better.

This Young couple need to understand basic business practices. When a patient asks tough questions. You don't insult the patient, but have compassion for helping the patient see what you see on the x-ray. I was asking tough questions about their x-ray ? Why don't I see what you see ? This lady dentist put her hands on her hips and said plainly, "Well you're not a medical professional." True, but I'm a professional common sensor. Help me to understand ? Her mask upon her face blocked her facial expression and my physiognomy of her face was blocked. Credibility in the medical industry has issues. These issues can't be fixed by the patient, but the medical industry needs to rebuild their brand. Asking tough questions about one's health was always done with compassion and understanding. STILL waiting to have by chipped tooth fixed !

I didn't listen and had 4 cavities filled on left side upper and lower last two. She doesn't believe in technology, digital exrays ( still used cardboard) nor sonogram which was used on me in CA by very reputable dentists. My front 11 are crowns and had surgery first. I never experienced the pain I did here. She's rough and aggressive and I felt like I was drowning in my own saliva. After returning home I found my night guard didn't fit. She knew I had one, as she cleaned it. So she had me come in Wed and proceeded to grind down the fillings on the upper with NO NUMBING. I had to hold my hand up so the assistant could tell her I was in pain. She went through grinding and pulling my lip which had bruises and even caused my lip to crack. I finally said its not fitting cause you are grinding down the surface and not the sides. She did some procedures with a green goupe that she really didn't want to do. I had tears rolling down my cheeks cause the pain was INTENSE and I have a high pain threshold and have been through a lot in 30 years, but nothing like this. I finally said could enough, this is like torture. I went out to the car where my husband was waiting and started bawling. In 30 years I've never had anyone so unskilled and rough. The way she pulled on my lip and cheek to grind that back tooth. Here's the kicker....my night guard still doesn't fit and today 5 wks later is still SO SENSITIVE to hot and cold and I can't chew or bite on that side. She needs to retire and personally I don't want to know what side of politics you're on when I'm in your chair. And she repeats the same story over 3x about nonsensical stuff like why she's got TMJ over "chips and salsa" while I'm sitting with a locked open jaw, followed by a nervous laugh. Really suprised she hasn't been turned into the wis state board of dentistry. -F she has no awareness of the pain her patients are experiencing. And again I've had oral surgery, root canals and probably 15 crowns in my mouth and nothing has ever been like this experience. BOTTOM LINE, run fast unless you like pain. Thought I did my homework on her until after this. I've seen some scathing reviews on Anne Siegrist. Too bad I have to put any star.
