Unfortunately I had a different experience than the reviews that led me to this dentist. They do far more imaging than any other dentist I've been to, but it's very uncomfortable. They take pictures (in addition to x-rays) which is something I did not want to do as I prefer to get in and out of the dentist as soon as possible. They stick a very large flat mirror into your mouth and shoot air down it and into the back of your throat. I repeatedly asked if the pictures were absolutely necessary and said "I do not want to do this" multiple times. The assistant taking all of the pictures did not listen to me. When more than 1 staff member hears the patient saying "no", I expect that they listen. This dental practice did not meet my expectations. They were quite pushy about fluoride, with 3 people giving me the same speech about how I really should have it. Even though I explained I wanted to get in & out as soon as possible, they still kept trying to push it on me. At the end, they used a tooth shade finder that came from a cabinet and physically touched it to my tooth, and then put it directly back into the cabinet. Who knows how many mouths that's touched. I do not recommend that anyone who is scared of the dentist go here as not being listened to is very traumatic. read more

Dr. Polanta IS seriously as good as it gets! In the first place, I'm on Yelp writing an unsolicited review for a filling I had done today (!!!) They told me the procedure would take 40 minutes at my initial appointment. When I checked in for the filling appointment, the front desk said it would take only 30 minutes. And I was in and out in 30 minutes. Exactly. Also, I felt no pain in the least. I had expected some, but they are so gentle, good humored, yet skilled, and personable here. Sorry, this will be long winded. I have been going to a corporate type dental facility for most of my life. As my teeth started having issues, and needing tons of work (after 30 years), it made me realize that I don't think I met a dentist very often that would really look at my teeth. If the xray didn't show anything, they let it rot apparently. So it wasn't a place I wanted to continue sending my kids. I then found Modern Touch Dentistry, and read so many good reviews, so I thought we found our new dentist. BUT, not so much. I really tried to like this place, but it was all too much for me. The staff seems to try too hard to crack jokes and keep it light. They are polite and nice, but there is a since of being over the top. There is almost too much "rainbows and butterflies" atmosphere going on there. Another thing I didn't realize I hated until having it done here, anytime they have to perform work on your teeth, they throw headphones on so loud you can't hear anything, and then try to talk to you during. After the third time of this, I was starting to get anxiety just from having to sit in the chair with the headphones on. Something else that really bothered me, I had [2] 40 minute delays for appointments due to emergencies right before I was scheduled, but no one let me know so that I could reschedule or bring a laptop to do some work while I waited, so I just WASTED 40 minutes, TWICE. And when i finally got in for those appointments, I felt like Dr. Pajek rushed through my filling and root canal. I am still in pain from both, and it's been two months. Another issue, I was told I have [6] cavities starting and need them repaired quickly. I could only afford to have [2] done, but I am emailed and texted constantly for the other [4]. I took my children for a cleaning, and my 13 yr old daughter was told she has [2] cavities that need immediate attention as well. On a good note, my 15 yr old son liked Dr. Pajek, as he said she showed him the crud that was scraped from his teeth and he never had a dentist do that before. He said that made him definitely work harder at brushing lately. So I really appreciate that. From all of this, after 2 months time, we decided to go to another dentist. Love it, so calm and relaxing. After he examined us, he said there are [3] of my teeth that could use fillings, and only [1] on my daughter all which he found by poking the dental tool into a fissure and it stuck. Dr. Pajek didn't find them this way?? I really hope Dr. Pajek wasn't throwing in an extra tooth for each of us for a little extra cash, but I will never know for sure. I am sure many people love this dental office, I just wanted to give my honest opinion and I am sorry if it is upsetting to anyone. read more

Very clean, Very "professional", Very calculated. Be ready for ALL your dental needs. They r happy to find/evaluate an extensive treatment plan. I'm just sharing..... I also felt so uncomfortable, I left at the beginning of the appointment - after the pictures!!!! read more

I've visited many dentist offices in my lifetime, but Modern Touch is easily my favorite. The staff are warm and welcoming. The decor is cool. From the waiting room to the patient areas, the office itself is exceptionally designed to be as comfortable as possible. My wife and I have been patients here for three years now. We both feel well cared for and are greeted with smiles on every visit. Dr. Pajek has a great personality and is clearly an expert dentist. My successful and pain free root canal procedure two years ago attests to this. I also appreciate her efforts to focus on preventing issues well in advance of them becoming expensive problems. As long as we live in the area, both my wife and I intend to make Modern Touch our home for dental care. I definitely recommend checking this office out if you're on the lookout for a new dentist. Ask about their in-house Smile Plus plan if you don't have insurance. It's helpful! read more

Modern Touch Dentistry and Dr. Pajek is simply a money centered company if you are going for the standard, every six month cleaning. I visited once and will never go back. I have never have had issues with my teeth and was recommended over $1000 worth of work during a teeth cleaning and was very alarmed. I immediately went to two other dentists who both confirmed that I did not need the work that Modern Touch recommended. I can not comment on their reconstructive work, however I would be careful if you are simply going for a cleaning. read more

The other review on money centered business is right on. She is technically proficient, but look out for the upsell, upsell, upsell! High pressure to buy expensive devices and procedures. She uses guilt to push you into buying. Felt like shit everytime leaving there. Left and now I have a dentist that works for me, not working me over. read more
