I took off of work for appointment. I am guessing their schedule is more important than mine. Should have been told up front. Wasn't. I believe they do this to bilk the insurance and pry more money from me on deductible. Not a good way to do business. Notified insurance and notifying BBB. If I receive any billing will refer to the state insurance commission.

Unfortunately I had a different experience than the reviews that led me to this dentist. They do…read morefar more imaging than any other dentist I've been to, but it's very uncomfortable. They take pictures (in addition to x-rays) which is something I did not want to do as I prefer to get in and out of the dentist as soon as possible. They stick a very large flat mirror into your mouth and shoot air down it and into the back of your throat. I repeatedly asked if the pictures were absolutely necessary and said "I do not want to do this" multiple times. The assistant taking all of the pictures did not listen to me. When more than 1 staff member hears the patient saying "no", I expect that they listen. This dental practice did not meet my expectations. They were quite pushy about fluoride, with 3 people giving me the same speech about how I really should have it. Even though I explained I wanted to get in & out as soon as possible, they still kept trying to push it on me. At the end, they used a tooth shade finder that came from a cabinet and physically touched it to my tooth, and then put it directly back into the cabinet. Who knows how many mouths that's touched. I do not recommend that anyone who is scared of the dentist go here as not being listened to is very traumatic.

After the third attempt, I finally receive a call back to be told they would need call me again to figure out the price of treatment. Days have gone by and no call was made. If you prefer over paying and having low quality customer service, this seems the place to go to. Just an FYI, when asking them why do braces cost more at their office, the answer was because of the lack of a competitive market and "their lab costs more" for the same material any other Ortho office gets. I moved to a different practice. It was a lie. Someone from my office with the same insurance company and coverage told me they love our insurance because it pays for all services; the exact opposite they told me. I understand that people have the right to refuse a service, but to lie about it feels UTTERLY unprofessional and very disappointing. We didn't do anything to deserve this treatment. I feel like they discriminated against my origin and skin color. We're living strange times for sure. Also for those who are wondering, no, we weren't admonished or called out for any reason or misbehavior. I wish they would have been honest and said they didn't want our business. Did great with my little one an made quite the impression, considering my little man is asking to go back. Yeah my FOUR year old wants to go back. The dental hygienist were great as well, showering us with hospitality. Brown FAMILY dentistry should be all that's said when it comes to teeth repairs. Oh, not to mention the new office is very modern and exceptionally clean.
