Now she had to go yesterday, she needs braces but needed teeth pulled, teeth filled, teeth capped. She had to have anasthesia as it took 3 1/2 hrs. It is very pricey even with insurance. My major issue is they gave her ZERO pain meds because that is their policy. So they suggest Tylenol & ibuprofen alternately. It did NOTHING for her pain. She woke up crying in pain. I finally gave her benydril just so she could sleep. she woke up a half in hour ago still in so much pain and crying. It hurts to even touch her face. From this experience it is going to be impossible to get her to go again. I will not take her back. For what I paid and that they are Childs dentist pain med should have been a given. Had she only needed a little work I could agree with their pollicy, but 3 1/2 hours??? 4 teeth pulled? No pain med. So if you want you child's experience to be bad go to them. I would call any dentist and find out their policies on pain meds for a child before going. Sadly I liked this dentist. I had ONE tooth pulled and my dentist surgeon gave me pain meds that I didn't even use. I wish I had saved them. Is it any wonder people are hoarding meds and self medicating

After his retirement I took my teens their for their cleanings and Dr. Claudia came out to the waiting room to talk to me and she stood over me and in less than 30 seconds she said there were no problems and she'd see us in 6 months. There was no friendliness or warmth from this lady, almost like I was wasting her time. When my 18 year old came out of the room my daughter looked at me at shook her head no. When we got to the car my daughter started crying and said Dr. Claudia was extremely rude towards her because she was 18 and had to clean her teeth instead of the assistant. Dr. Claudia made rude comments towards my daughter during the cleaning. Dr. was extremely aggressive during the cleaning and my daughter experience very swollen gums for a couple of days after the cleaning. We never had an experience like this with Dr. Steinmetz. He said the kids could stay on through college, but we've already moved to another dentist. If you're looking for a warm and caring dentist this is no longer the place.

At Govani, the dental hygienist scraped each of my gums with the sharp tool until they bled, then she measured my periodontal charting by poking into each gum. When Dr. Govani came in, she told me I have gingivitis and will require anesthesia for two days of "deep" cleaning because of all the tarter buildup, which would cost $800. Before scheduling anything with them, I followed up with my previous dentist and they cleaned my teeth, told me my periodontal charting was between 1-2, NO tarter, and to come back in 6 months. Govani dental must be seriously needing money by looking for anything to charge patients for.
