Killer Burger is an excellent place to grab a casual burger. Prices are fair, there is an good selection of burgers and it satisfies all the burger cravings. The burgers are massive, juicy, and packed with flavor. the Meathead will fill you to the brink. I did one with fries. I could only eat half. The staff are friendly, and the energy inside is always casual. Parking is a little hard sometimes in the area, just make sure you don't park in the apartment complex next to the building. Prices are fair for the quality, and you can tell they take pride in consistency. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, you'll get the same great experience every visit. I've eaten here over the span of like 13-14 years at least. I don't think it was as good as it once was BUT it's still very good. I love the addition of the smaller slider options. They essentially make them into smaller actual smash burgers. This is was an awesome concept. The peanut butter bacon pickle will always be the move. The burgers are D.E.L.I.C.O.U.S. ....... Just yell out YUM! The fries are crispy, hot and excellent. Oh, and while you can use the standard ketchup, they also have several different sauces you can also order (very small charge) to dip your fries in. Our standard order, with slight variation depending on the mood: - Meathead which is a double patty burger, cooked to perfection and deep taste. Since moving to San Antonio we have been looking for a great burger that we would happily eat over and over. I think we have found it in Killer Burger on Portranco Road. Wow! What an amazing smash burger! A couple of buddies and I were going to a boardgame event at Slow Pour Coffee. We got there early on a Saturday morning and decided to check out Killer Burger. Man, are we happy we did! First of all, the lunch special is awesome: $10 for a 'pint' burger, small fries and a soda. That alone is a great deal. But for $2 more, you can get a 2nd patty. We all did. We're all big guys, but that was more than enough burger. The menu was full of great-sounding burgers, but I decided to rely on the advice of the guy behind the counter. "I like the Jose Mendoza." So, I ordered a Jose Mendoza. For the uninitiated, that's: Bacon, Roasted Green Chiles, Monterey Jack, House Sauce, Grilled Onion and Pickles. The burger was delicious! I'm trying to figure out how I haven't already left a review for this place. PB pickle bacon burger is so delicious. It's hard not to just get that every time. But hey, they have a lot of great burgers and sandwiches to choose from so why not? Their new Mike's Hot Honey chicken sandwich is just as amazing. Honestly, I've always been happy with their food. It always arrives in great condition, flavorful food, big portions, and reasonable prices. Plus they have all the sauces you can add on (we love them for fries of course). And if you're into spicy they definitely have sauces for that (which are also on the burgers). I can go for MHH but some of their sauces pack a bit more punch than I can handle. If I could give 0 I would. I went to Killer Burger about 3 weeks ago, and had a trip to the ER later that night from food poisoning. 6 hours in the bathroom without help until my roommate got home to take me to the ER. Yes, Uber exists, but I am not wealthy and it was late on a weekend evening. Besides the fact that I was occupied with my symptoms. After receiving 2 bags of fluids and being sent home with anti-nausea meds, I was sick for the next two days (had to take off work). I alert Killer Burger of this and their emailed response says "Our bad. Our aim is to always deliver a Killer experience. We appreciate you taking the time to share your input and will share with our store crew" While this initially pissed me off, I could understand that it was potentially a stock email. But I waited weeks and received no response from the store I contacted, not even a refund for my $12 meal that caused all of the severely stressful and dehydrating symptoms. I followed up again, was told I would receive a response in 2 business days. Still no response. The ER responded with a hefty bill, of course. I've created a report with the Multnomah County Health Department, and will be soliciting legal action against Killer Burger as this is a beyond ridiculous lack of customer service. read more

The staff and food were always great. On February 2, I placed an order for 3 chicken sandwiches, which we order all the time. To our surprise, the sandwiches showed up with chicken tenders on the bun. Needless to say, we were highly disappointed and had to adjust our lunch plans which cost us time, money and frustration. I called the store and was told by the "general manager" I had been refunded my $34.89. This money was never refunded to me. I called the store again last Friday and was told a manager would be calling me after 2pm when they got to the store. Haven't received that phone call yet either. The young staff are all kind and approachable. They help you navigate the nuances of the menu - and they get your order out to the table (or takeaway) super fast. This would be a great addition if they didn't fry them in their fryers, rendering them contaminated for folks with allergies and relevant auto-immune diseases. I ordered a peanut butter pickle burger with a lettuce-wrapped bun and fries online and went to pick it up. (I should mention that he way the online menu is set-up, you aren't aware of the chicken being fried unless you specifically click on the "Chicken Sando" menu header.) When I got there, I saw a picture of the chicken sandwich and noticed it was fried. When I asked if it was fried in the same oil as the french fries, they replied yes. When I told them that what was a gluten-free meal was no longer edible for me, they shrugged their shoulders. I had already paid and based on that new information, I wouldn't be able to eat the food. I came home and gave the meal to my neighbor who doesn't have the same concerns about gluten. I was out about $15 and a meal and I was pissed. Came with medium thick fries, hot and crispy. Was clean and lite industrial decor. (I was in line behind some young people who were chatting up the cashier) Service - at first I was a bit put off, kid seemed like a disinterested stoner. 3.5 stars I ordered off of Grubhub. The estimated wait was 20-40 minutes for pickup. 15 minutes after the order was placed I decided to check, I don't usually get notifications when my order's up If placed via Yelp. Glad I did! This particular location looks like a pickup only situation. The nice guy greeted me when I walked in and asked me for my name. They had plenty of hand sanitizer and were masked. My food was ready, waaaaay ahead of schedule. Burgers don't travel well. And as I refuse to eat well travelled food so I found a quite neighborhood a few blocks down to eat in my car. The fries were both crispy and soft, a slightly thicker cut version of 'regular fries'. I found them perfectly salted, and hot. They weren't memorable fries, or fries that I'd think fond memories of, but they were good. I ordered a $0.50 side of the house sauce as a dip; it had an overwhelming dill pickle flavor which overpowered the the rich creaminess of the Mayo/ketchup combo. The burger was thoughtfully wrapped, a blessing during in-car munch downs (spillage must be kept to a minimum) and wow this was one juicy burger! I had the classic, no bacon. I really liked the diced caramelized onions that didn't slap you in the face after every bite, and the shredded lettuce/American cheese/tomato combo. The burger featured the house sauce with large sandwich sliced pickles, which again was far too much pickle essence for one meat sandwich. Despite this, the burger was cooked perfectly, and the sandwich put together with care. With a little less pickle I would easily give them a 4 stars. read more

I have managed for years to not grab food here. I am happy at the different location options for sure since I cannot imagine coming back to this spot. We will start with the good...because their burgers are frigging awesome. Their fries are amazing also - and not super over the top greasy which is always a great surprise. I got a burger with no cheese, no sauces + mayo and + grilled onions and mushrooms which was pretty damned delicious. Also, thanks for having Dr Pepper! Now the bad which was just confusing. So, a Friday night is busy everywhere right? And I get throwing the new guy to the wolves but just wow. I wondered why I had four people in front on me and was standing in line an unbearable amount of time. And then I was next...he just needed to pour beers for the two girls in front of me. So he poured the beers which were apparently the wrong beers...that they just ordered. Then another guy had to come up because he could not seem to correctly pour the replacement beers. I had to repeat my order THREE TIMES and ask TWICE for the soda. And he was confused as to how to process a debit card. I am a very patient human but just wow... Unhygienic and slow service. I ordered my burger and fries, and it took over 20 minutes despite 8 employees being behind the counter. When I asked the front counter associate if they had added mayo, he shrugged and said "Ummm if you ordered it, it should be on there." When I asked if he could check, he picked up my burger and pulled it apart to check after handling cash and credit cards. He then passed me packets of mayo to go since they hadn't added the extra mayo. Given he handled the burger without gloves or washing his hands, I tossed the unhygienic meal. I wasn't interested in waiting another 20+ minutes for a mediocre meal. Interestingly, every time I've ordered from KB, they've never once brought the sauces I've ordered and paid for to the table and I need to all ask the server to come back with them without fail. I see it as a fair warning to make an informed decision. In the midst of looking at the burger options, I didn't see that all burgers come with fries. The prices are a bit higher. It was worth it for me. You may opt for a smaller burger and subtract $2 from the price. How cool is that? I ordered the kids basket for the little one, (3) benders, and one barnyard. Since we are in, we all got a kids sized drink with free refills. After ordering, I went back for beer and got a peach cider (delicious - it was like juice). My burger was the bender. It was delicious - juicy beef, not greasy. Perfect toppings. Although the burger was listed as being spicy, it was not, in my opinion. The fries were a nice golden color. I added Killer Burgers special seasoning, Tabasco sauce, and malt vinegar (stop side eying my choices lol). For once, I liked my food enough to finish it all. My eldest two did the same.
