I recently stopped by this Killer Burger location with the goal of trying the original Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon Burger. I had read about this burger and the Teemah burger online before I moved to Oregon. As far as I can tell, Killer Burger is kind of like the goth In N Out of Portland. The quality of the burgers is about the same or a little better than In N Out, but their menu features way more ingredients and variety. I had tried the double at a different location, and wrote a review (elsewhere) about how it had WAY too much peanut butter-- like, literally a quarter cup of peanut butter. Someone from corporate had responded to explain that the double burger comes with double peanut butter. I've worked in a lot of restaurants-- like, I've served burgers for at least a dozen different restaurants, and I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doubling all of the condiments on a double burger. I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm just saying it's a new idea for me. Peanut butter is alright, but I'm really not the biggest fan. I can't relate to people who would just eat it plain with a spoon-- that sounds as gross to me as eating mayo with a spoon. But, just like mayo, I might be okay with a small serving of it on a burger. Anyway, I recently stopped by this location to try the regular, original, unadulterated Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon Burger. It still came with a pretty decent amount of peanut butter, but this time, it was perfectly proportioned with the rest of the toppings, and complemented the rest of the flavors perfectly. The idea of mayo, bacon, peanut butter, and pickles together *sounds* really weird, but it's actually pretty good. Every burger at Killer Burger comes with bacon, and in my experiences so far, it's been a decent amount of decent enough bacon. The buns are just cheap, basic, decent buns. It's a small shop that's on the corner. My burger was the fun guy w/o bacon. It was. 10/10 and very cheesy. It was soo good I wanted to order a second burger for later. My BF got the teemah and he loved it. If you like blue cheese, you will like that one. It had a lot of blue cheese so just a heads up. Went here for lunch craving a burger and they did not disappoint. My partner and I both ordered burgers with fries, the Peanut butter and pickle with chilies and the Bender. I expected the addition of chilies to make my burger spicy, as per the employee, but it was not. Nonetheless it was still delicious with a generous heaping of peanut butter sauce that oozed after every bite. The Bender was better and actually had some heat and good texture from the crispy onions. The employee was helpful, however incorrect about the chilies being spicy, or spicier than the Bender. The kitchen was quick and the fries were fresh, crispy and a decent helping. The inside was a bit tight, 6-8 tables, some 2 tops, some 4 tops. It was clean and fresh looking. There were a couple of picnic tables outside for those who want to eat in the rain. Just know it's uncovered. Would definitely come here again. The cheeseburger is so greasy the grease is dripping from the bottom of the paper it's wrapped in (and it's not juices) it's grease. The bacon on it tastes old. We ordered Killer Burger through UberEats tonight. My wife was just coming home from a trip and we thought we'd have a nice meal ordered in with our family (3 kids). The service was horrible. Just horrible. They forgot to load a meal into the take-out bag and when we realized this at home we immediately called the restaurant. They told us to call UberEats, and we did. You can't talk to a real person and we got nowhere. We tried calling the driver and he said to call the restaurant. The restaurant has now stopped answering their phone. This was our go-to place for burgers but a few months ago we stopped frequenting this location. The reason: every single time we ordered a vegetarian burger it was delivered with meat on it. Seems like they never read the tickets correctly and we would get home to find bacon on a veggie patty. Or last time everything seemed fine until we took the wrapper off to find a chunk of ground beef stuck to the cheese on the veggie burger. Which obviously shows they there is no distinction on the grill itself between meat and veg and that they were frying the two right next to each other. Well I was craving a burger. Not often but once every few month - so I thought it's a rainy day let's do some Ordering and let others get wet getting the burger. So I'll decided to go with a Grubhub order and looked through what was close and fast enough to get in fresh and juicy - and only a mile away there is a killer burger. I have seen them around - but then again never visited since I am not often eat burger. I thought is is a good idea to try killer this way and see if they can hold up to their name. You guess it already swing my star rating - in my eyes it does not. In fact I am almost tend to say a MCD burger or a wendXX is definitely better and has a fair price. I just ordered the classic which came all together up to $20 and that's with a free Grubhub plus delivery! So when you compare that to other burgers I expect something really good. In the end it's a burger I know but I really had five star burger delivery from Portland burger before and that is what I compare it with. The killer Burger was uninspired. The bin boring, the meat taste was hidden and mashed up with an unidentifiable sauce with some pickles that where nothing special. It also was not very warm - with delivery I do not expect a hot dish but at least a good warm meal. And I have to give it to the GH driver he was fast from pickup to delivery! All in all it was just an expansive experience with an "mahhh" outcome. So from the five stars I'll take one away for not being warm and another one for not even being delicious... and since it is delivery I take one away for answering "would I ever eat or order there again" with NO. And that leaves two stars and that is mostly based on that I ordered delivery and I do not can put in restaurants dining scales on it to be fair to the business. I've been a little MIA on Yelp lately due to multiple tragedies occurring in my private life, but I've got a backlog of reviews I've been meaning to write, and I've JUST NOW gotten some free time to be able to get them going. Anyway... Grabbed takeout a few months back, and was slightly weirded out by the interaction at the counter. The guy working had a "face shield" instead of mask, but it wasn't a full face shield... it was shaped like a chin, and about 4 inches across and 2 inches tall, and extended about 3-4 inches from the guy's face. It looked really strange, and there's NO WAY that it offered any kind of protection. They also had a weird pickup system, where they had orders sitting on a rack against the wall, and people were just coming in and grabbing bags. Not sure if it was Grubhub or Uber Eats or what. Seemed weird though. Anyhow, I got our order and brought it home to enjoy... As always, the burgers were AMAZING. We got 2 classics, and really enjoyed them. You know a place makes a good burger when their basic cheeseburger is AWESOME. On the food side of things where this experience lacked was the fries situation. I know they USED to have bottomless fries, and I recall NEVER being able to finish all of my fries. Well, this location failed us dismally on the french fry front. I think between the 2 of us we got like 30 or 40 fries? I definitely wanted more, and I finished all of them. I'll come back again, that's for sure, but this experience was not the best.
