I've been to this Thai restaurant a few times and each time, I order something different and also wonder why don't I come back more often? Khao Soi is delicious, as are any of their stir-fry dishes. Love their ample soups and grilled meats. This is a pretty good Thai restaurant outside of Thai town and Van Nuys/NoHo. Looking forward to trying more things! Priced just right and the service is good, the food is SUPER quick which is a huge bonus. Cute and quaint place for sure, as well as quiet and intimate. read more

Super nice waitress and fast service here! We came in at 8 on a Sunday night and they were still open, yay! I thought maybe they were going to close early since no one was inside so I offered to order to go. The lady said it was ok so we sat down. She helped us right away, got our silverware out and the menu for us. We ordered the pineapple fried rice, pad Thai with chicken and 2 Thai iced teas with coconut milk. The food and drinks were so good! Actually, they were amazing. I cannot believe we haven't tried this place before, but we are so glad we did! It's also very cute inside. They have a wall of rose vines and abstract art and lots of little fake plants decorating. They have about 6 tables, so it's a pretty cozy little spot. There is also free parking on the street right in front of the place. It's free for 2 hours until 6 PM. We will definitely be back again soon. Thank you for being so welcoming so late at night and for serving such delicious meals! read more

Went here with a group after everything else was closed. What I noticed immediately was that the portions on some of our plates were huge-a good thing. I loved my pad woon sen. I had been eating all day so I didn't order a whole bunch. The service was great. It's not a huge establishment but the vibes and polish you'd expect from a thai restaurant are shared here. Only 2 tables were occupied. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall. I had no trouble finding parking, but there aren't a ton of spots. The decor inside is nice with some Thai touches. There's a pretty flower hallway on the way to the bathroom too. They offer all the standard Thai dishes. My friend and I shared the Thai fried rice with shrimp ($18.95) and the pad see ew with beef ($17.95). Both dishes came out super quickly. I liked the pad see ew more taste-wise, but I thought the portion was quite small. They could have thrown in some more rice noodles in. The fried rice was okay too, but I'm not used to the fried rice being slightly sweet like they make it here. If I was just rating the food, I'd probably give it a 4. But overall it was a 5 star experience as our server was very nice. We ended up staying here slowly eating and chatting for 2.5 hours and never felt rushed.

If I could leave more than 5 stars for this place I would, that's how much I love it! My favorite Thai restaurant in BURBANK! I've been coming here since they changed to KIIN and it's always amazing! The food is fresh, delicious, and flavorful. The service is always great and it's very easy to get curbside pickup. My absolute favorite dish here is the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. I've never had it this good anywhere else. Great flavors, with just the right amount of spice! I also usually get the Chicken Satay and their peanut sauce is delicious! The soups are also great, especially the Tom Kha. I'm also a big fan of their curries, especially the Yellow Curry. Anything you order here you just can't go wrong! For dessert, the Coconut Rice with Mango of course! The taste from the sticky rice goes so well with the coconut cream. Always amazing and my go-to for Thai in BURBANK! They told me they removed the soup that's a little sad but they told me soup will be back on Winter. So thats makes sense. Can't Complains on the food cuz it's SUPER DELISH. Siam Smile is the best Thai restaurant in Burbank for sure. It's my favorite Thai restaurant period but certainly in Burbank. The food is awesome and their specials are on point. I pretty much always order the lunch or dinner special, depending on when I'm there. Lunch: For $6.95 (M-F until 3) with egg fried rice, tofu soup and two fried wontons of either chicken, beef, pork or tofu. The beef and pork are my two favorites. Dinner: $9.95 that gets you the same but with an egg roll and slightly bigger servings. If you don't want a preplanned meal I highly recommend the: the pad thai noodles, spicy bamboo, shrimp and scallops or the pineapple curry. All of these dishes are A+'s and oh so good. Top notch service never hurts a restaurants cause either. read more

I like little restaurants. Truly. I would take a little hole in the wall over a big fancy restaurant any day of the week. And I eat at Sawan usually once a week. Very easy to miss unless you are looking but they stay open all day (you know how some restaurants close at 3 to 5? hello- not all of us have 12:00 lunches) and their peanut sauce is great. I would just eat the peanut sauce if I didnt like their other options. They have a killer lunch menu till 3:30pm- $4.50 for an entree!!! Panang and veggie curry are my faves. Their pad thai is very tasty and their thai salad and chicken sate are a must try. The same gal is always there- and she is so sweet and helpful. They do have brown rice but its not on the menu, fyi. read more

Came here for lunch by myself, and the place was full, so i waited for a table and was seated, then ordered my food. The food arrives a few minutes later, then a group of 4 people walked in, but all of the tables were taken, so in the middle of my meal while i was eating the waitress asked me if i could change tables to the smaller table so they accommodate a bunch of strangers. Then i was moved outside in the sun with some idiot smoking near me. I was very annoyed by this, those people could have waited just like i had to, but i guess a few cheap plates of food are more important than a potential life time customer. This was a low class move, i will not come here again. read more

Our order was messed up, however they fixed the order and was very polite and wanted to learn what thing went wrong in the online order system, so they would not mess future orders up. The Thai food was excellent and was worth the wait for the order to be corrected! Will go again and again! read more

We were waiting for our passports to get ready at van Nuys post office which just gave us an hour to get something to eat. This place was close by so we gave it a try. Great food. We ordered tom yum soup, shrimp fried rice and shrimp pad Thai noodles. Soup was perfect not too salty like some places do. Pad thai and shrimp fried rice tasted better than average. read more

Whooo-weee this place was a pleasant surprise! My lady and I were looking for a cozy dinner spot…read moreafter a movie and Rustic Spoon absolutely delivered. We arrived hungry and left with very happy tummies and enough food in our bellies to question all of our life choices on the drive home. Had enough leftovers for plenty of meals to miss it just a bit more~ Inside/Outside - 5/5 Rustic Spoon is on the smaller side, but in a good way. It has that cozy neighborhood restaurant feel where you can tell people are coming back again and again. Today was insanely hot so we opted to eat inside. But I'm sure the outside patio is quite nice in more temperate weather. Parking was easier than expected. There is metered parking nearby and additional parking right behind the restaurant, which took away the usual Toluca Lake parking stress. Customer Service - 5/5 Customer service was gr20. Our server was not only attentive but also pretty hilarious. The entire staff seemed genuinely happy to be there and regularly checked in on us throughout the meal. Drinks stayed filled, food arrived quickly, and everyone had a great sense of humor. Good folks all around. Food & Dranks - 5/5 Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly filling. We started with the Papaya Salad, which had a great balance of freshness, crunch, and flavor. It was a perfect way to kick off the meal. To drink, I ordered the Pomegranate Iced Tea which was incredibly refreshing. Not overly sweet and exactly what I wanted on a HOT evening. For the mains, we shared the Pad Thai, Crispy Fried Chicken, and Khow Soi. The Pad Thai was packed with flavor and had plenty of ingredients throughout. The Crispy Fried Chicken lived up to its name with a great crunch while still staying juicy inside. The standout for me was the Khow Soi. Rich, comforting, and loaded with flavor. One of those dishes where you keep saying "just one more bite" until the bowl mysteriously disappears. What really stood out was the portion sizes. Prices initially looked a little higher than some nearby spots, but once the food arrived it all made sense. Plenty of food, fresh ingredients, and enough leftovers to make the value feel well worth it. TL;DR - Overall: 5/5 - Cozy neighborhood spot with a welcoming vibe - Covered patio is probably great to sit when not so hot - Metered parking nearby plus parking behind the restaurant - Funny, attentive, and personable staff - Papaya Salad was fresh and flavorful - Pomegranate Iced Tea was super refreshing - Pad Thai, Crispy Fried Chicken, and Khow Soi were all fantastic -Large portions that justify the price - Good peoples, delicious food, happy tummies - Will definitely be back to explore more of the menu

We normally like to sit down and dine, but since it was raining, we decided to take our food to- go. They also have an outdoor seating. Got a pleasant greeting from Emma and Taryn-the manager, and they were both very nice and pleasant. Since we are familiar with their menu options, we know what they are offering. Delicious salads, sandwiches, soup, homemade bread/cookies, beverages of all kinds. Bottled, canned and more liquidy drinks. Like lemonade, Agua Fresca, etc.. We ordered two of their sandwiches. First was the Harissa Chicken with roasted chicken, labneh, Swiss cheese, Feta, pickled onion, tomato, lettuce with Harissa aioli (sauce). The other one was the Californian, which came with: artichoke hearts, avocado, sun dried tomatoes, Mozzarella cheese, lettuce, herb aioli add chicken (+4.00). So worth it. Both came on Focaccia bread. Both sandwiches came with salads and small Vinaigrette dressing on the side. The chicken literally melted in my mouth, both prepared/cooked perfectly! Prices according to the portions are very affordable. 10/10. Urban Cafe never disappoints. No matter which location we go to. Thank you SO very much! Ambiance was nice, and very clean. Parking is shared with other businesses and they do have gender neutral restrooms along with delivery, catering, pick up and 3rd party orders.

Amazing Thai Cuisine has amazing eats, service and a surprisingly spacious layout…read more You can order at the counter, including with their modern small kiosk or with a server on duty. My friend Andrew comes here often and raves about this spot located off Magnolia Blvd & Cahuenga Blvd in a small plaza near NoBar, a local favorite. I was impressed with their Vegetable based dishes, the Spicy Eggplant being a hit in terms of flavor, presentation and spice. The portions are a little smaller than I'd expect for roughly $20 for each type of entree ranging from noodle and rice dishes to curries, soups, signatues, salads, appetizers and beyond. Good beverage options, including a self serve water station. Bottled or canned options that include soft drinks, juices, water and even beer. Solid lunch special menu, though none of those options seem to include vegetarian or vegan friendly options. Amazing Thai has many veggie friendly options like the Mixed Veggie Stir Fry and many of the dishes are vegetarian by default depending on your protein base as many of them include egg. Still a fair amount of vegan options, big fan of their tofu here. Friendly service. Good ambiance that might remind you of dining at home or the home of a friend. Flat screen tvs for entertainment. Gender neutral restrooms. Limited parking in the share plaza/strip mall lot, but few restrictions in the area. They do offer catering services and offer their space for private events with notice and planning. It's a local North Hollywood Thai eatery on the cusp of Toluca Lake that will leave a good impression. Open from Mon 11 AM until 3 PM and again at 5 PM to 9 PM daily.

After writing few of my Yelp reviews, I got hungry and this lovely, beautiful restaurant popped…read moreinto my head. So I got up and went there on the 11th of this month at exactly 5pm. I was STARVING! This place has so much history embedded in it. Parking can be a bit challenging, but there was plenty of parking on the street and that's where I parked. It's shared with 7/Eleven, a barber shop & Little Caesar's pizza. Walked in and got a very nice, warm, great, friendly greeting from Sky and Andy. This place has been recently renovated. Maybe like a month ago. It was very beautifully done; with some art work, designs, decor, pictures here and there. They had a Halloween themed table nicely decorated at the far end of the restaurant. It was simple with balloons, and that's what I liked. The simplicity. Restaurant was super clean along with their gender neutral restrooms. They have one overhead menu, one large table menu, and a small lunch table menu with exceptionally inviting dishes. I got their large Wonton Soup with: chicken, fried garlic, lots of vegetables inside their clear broth. To die for! That good. Then I ordered their combo Drunken Noodles- that came with chicken, beef and a good amount of fresh shrimp. Beef and the chicken were also very fresh. I asked for it to be mild, since it comes spicy. To die for. Prices are super affordable for their portions. They also have a large fridge that sells, wine, beer, juice, water and soda. Last but not least, got their (5) piece Egg Rolls. To die for. It wasn't greasy, nor salty. Very crisp. Food came out hot, delicious, and quick. Smoke was coming out. One of the things that I liked was that they were not playing just everyday music, they were playing Thai/Chinese music. I kind of liked that. They keep their origin, culture, history along with the food. This is a family owned business and I have been there twice, like 21 years ago. Place has been around for 27 years. Andy, checked on me like three times, while Sky was taking to go, pick up and 3rd party orders. They also do catering. Teamwork, makes a dream work. I will definitely return and recommend this restaurant for people who love good quality Thai food! Thank you Sky, Andy, and always stay Amazing. The name seriously fits this restaurant..in every way!
