Instead of a dental hygienist cleaning my teeth before the dentist's examination (as I'm accustomed to), the doctor came in first, assessed my teeth, and immediately presented me with a treatment plan for 7 cavities totaling $1,000. He then asked if I still wanted to proceed with the cleaning. This felt backward and put me in an uncomfortable position--I had come specifically for a cleaning but now felt pressured by the unexpected bill. Plus, I have never had a cavity before so now suddenly developing 7 cavities seemed dubious. I reluctantly stayed for the cleaning since that was my original purpose. However, the doctor performed the cleaning himself in only 15 minutes, whereas my previous dental office took 30-40 minutes for a thorough cleaning. It just felt rushed. The most awkward part was being asked to pay for the fluoride treatment ($15) while still in the dental chair--before the service was even completed. Having to pull out my credit card mid-appointment felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. Overall, the customer service was poor, and I left feeling dissatisfied with both the experience and the value I received. I would not recommend this office, they will rip you off.

    Terrible experience at this branch. Patients deserve better…read more I want to be clear that I was never rude or unkind. I simply asked for a second opinion, which is my right as a patient. My orthodontist told me there was unnecessary work on my treatment plan. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with disrespect. The front desk wouldn't even speak to me. Scarlet, the office manager, was pleasant over the phone but completely different in person. My first visit had been great, but this second one was upsetting. I felt like I was being punished just for wanting another perspective. The second dentist I saw at the same location agreed with the original plan which is fine I just wanted to confirm the recommendation. Dr. Anthony Nguyen, the original dentist, refused to speak to me at all, even though this was a scheduled appointment when he found out I was there for a second opinion. If you are in the Katy or Richmond area, I recommend going somewhere that treats patients with respect and values open communication.

Insert Mint Dentistry! I called and they have a program where you can pay for a yearly plan and it works like insurance. Yay! So off we went. The staff was so nice and we didn't have to wait long. Everyone did their job with precision and professionalism. They cleaned my sons teeth and he got to watch a movie while they worked on him. He even got some shades and a goodie bag! (Yea, for what I paid, I wanted one too!) My son said it was actually nice and he can't wait to go back! I can.

The only positive thing I can say is that the front desk staff was amazing. I was seen by Dr. Ayanna Cartwright and an assistant , and there was immediate confusion about my treatment plan that should have been resolved before any work started. I clearly explained that I'm very sensitive and that my jaw can lock if opened too wide. My previous dentist always allowed breaks for my jaw to rest, but that consideration was completely ignored here. During the procedure, I was told to raise my hand if I felt discomfort--which I did multiple times. I was visibly in distress, unable to speak, and at one point my lip was actually clamped while drilling. Instead of stopping, they continued and told me I was "almost done." I felt completely ignored and dismissed. The response afterward was a generic apology with no real accountability. This experience was unacceptable. I did not feel cared for at any point. I came home and looked at my teeth just to see that my gums were cut on the sides. Had high hopes and left highly disappointed, and would not recommend this location to anyone.

I went in expecting a proper final evaluation on my results after almost a year of treatment. Instead, neither the assistant nor the dentist even asked me to open my mouth or physically examined my teeth, yet they still made conclusions about my treatment outcome and whether refinement was needed. I raised concerns about my front teeth alignment and black triangles. I was repeatedly told Invisalign "wouldn't help anymore". I then asked a simple question: Do I need refinement or not? I never received a clear answer. The same statements were repeated, but there was no direct yes/no and no walkthrough of my results -- again, without any exam. The dentist also stated that I had already completed a refinement and that this wouldn't be fixed with "another" one. This is incorrect -- I have never had any refinement. This suggests my case have not been reviewed by her carefully before the visit. From any reasonable patient would expect, a proper Invisalign aligner finish appointment should include: 1. A clinical exam of the teeth 2. Evaluation of alignment and bite 3. Checking whether teeth tracked as planned vs. the original simulation 4. A clear discussion of results vs. expectations 5. A thoughtful, patient-centered conversation about whether refinements are clinically indicated NONE of that happened. At that point, I was left unsure about: What the standard process is at the end of Invisalign aligner treatment? Who is responsible for making these decisions? Whether my case was being properly evaluated? Am I being treated fairly as a patient? The interaction also felt rushed and unstructured. I was ultimately told by the dentist that she is not dealing with me and asked me to schedule with an orthodontist, who is only available periodically, so I now have to wait a month for further evaluation. After paying over $4,000 for a comprehensive Invisalign plan, this was my experience at the end of treatment: No clinical exam No clear evaluation of results No direct answer regarding refinement No professional communication Limited explanation or guidance Delay in next steps I have been a patient here for about 3 years, and the quality of care has noticeably declined: Frequent provider changes, making continuity difficult; Limited communication about treatment steps and expectations; Scheduling errors (e.g., for my final aligner follow-up, I had to call to correct it); A service listed in my contract (whitening) was later said to no longer be offered with a not acceptable attitude. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and lacked clear communication and follow-through. There is no patient-centered care, instead, patients are their sales quota. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update on April 14th: I've since consulted with a couple of dentists, and they both told me that what I experienced is not standard practice. They also mentioned that in most cases, at least one refinement is typically done - especially in my case, where it could help improve my front teeth alignment. I was also told someone from the customer service would reach out to follow up, but I have never received any contact.

    Please, please, stay away from this place…read more I had a cleaning and needed some fillings, but the experience was so rushed and painful that I had to leave after the first filling. I genuinely hope others avoid this place--you deserve better than this. The good: Booking was straightforward. My appointment was at 9:00 am, and I was seen around 9:05. X-rays were quick and efficient. The bad: The actual dental procedure didn't begin until around 10:40. Once it started, everything felt rushed. Numbing cream was applied, but they barely turned around before administering the anesthetic injection. The injection was painful. From what I understand, the injection typically takes several minutes to take effect, but the dentist began the procedure within about three minutes. I don't believe the anesthetic had fully kicked in--it was painful. To make things worse, the assistant jammed the water spray and suction hard into my gums. I had trouble breathing while trying to tolerate the pain. Imaging going through this just for a simple procedure. After just one filling, I decided to stop the treatment. I paid my copay at the front desk and left. Shortly after I got home, I received a call from the office saying I had a balance due. Apparently, when they removed the two unfinished fillings from the bill, they also removed the deductible. I would have appreciated a simple acknowledgment that this was their mistake. Instead, the call began with them stating I owed money--implying I hadn't paid before leaving. It was frustrating, especially after an already painful and uncomfortable visit.
