The receptionist was so unbelievably rude to both me and my wife. Hung up on us both TWO separate x's and she was just so condescending. We were both just trying to book a basic dental appointment for our toddler. One of the most wild and startling customer service experiences I've encountered in my long life. This dentistry is the bomb!!! Today was my daughter's first appointment ever, and we had such a positive experience. Everyone was so kind and patient. Our hygienist's name was Carla, and she was spectacular with my 3 year old. She took her time and was very accommodating to my 3 year old freaking out. The doctor was kind, patient, and easy to talk to. If you're looking, give this dentistry a shot. They are great with communication prior to the appointment as well, which helps smooth over any bumps for the day of the appointment. Our 2nd annual visit. Another success. A little nervous but no meltdown. Checking on those incoming adult teeth & outgoing baby teeth. The dentist, dental assistant, and other staff were, again, professional and so gentle with the kids. Always so kind. Let's my kid be involved with her teeth care directly, talks to my kid like the patient she is, and gives her great advice. Wow! We are absolutely in love with the two dentists, Dr Kahn and Dr Jamal! They both have worked on my daughter's teeth. Once Dr Kahn quickly repaired a space maintainer, and another time Dr Jamal removed a broken crown and replaced it flawlessly. They both did AWESOME! We loved how quickly they got our daughter in, and treated. Both times! Very thorough yet quick and that's exactly what you want when your child's teeth require help immediately! Dr. Adeel Khan is an awesome human being. He pulled 2 molars and did 1 filling on my daughter. She is healing right now but, it seems each day it os healing. He did call to check up on her progress and offered to prescribe antiseptic mouth rinse, but so far the purified sea salt water seems to be working just fine. Dr. Adeel Khan is a very kind man. Dr. Adeel is very polite when speaking but when faced with questions related to the treatment gets upset. The simple answer to most of the questions he give in a stubborn tone "this is how I do it". He needs to understand that a patient's guardian or parent has a right to ask questions regarding treatment and make an informed decision. Also he needs to understand that he cannot treat parents like small kids and reprimand them. Also, dentist office is already a scary place for some kids, adding to that fright he reprimanded the kid too in a bad manner. read more

Took my 2 year old for her first dentist visit. I couldn't be more happy with how it went. The front desk staff made it super easy to make an appointment. I explained that it's her first time since we postponed a dental visit due to covid. They explained what would happened and made me feel comfortable bringing her in. The hygienist did great even thought my daughters cried a little. The Dr was super friendly and even sang the whole time while he did the exam. She still screamed but he still sang. We JUST left, we took our son to get his lip and tongue ties released and we were very iffy on the procedure entirely. We verbally declined cutting anything more than his lip and tongue. They said there was a miscommunication but there was not as I remember stating MANY times that we would not be releasing any buccal ties, only his lip and tongue. He comes out obviously upset and distressed. They came in to discuss and she mentioned buccal ties, my husband and I were just confused why they did it after we said no and they said that when we do the lip it includes the buccal ties. Wrong. I have never seen that in all of the research I did prior AND again, we declined cutting buccal ties. Saying the buccal ties "are part of the lip" does not excuse them going against our requests. That's why they are called buccal ties and not the lip. I got him calm and then they came in to do the stretches and made him upset again. I will not sugar coat anything because I want other parents to be entirely informed before they put their child through this. Your child will be swaddled AND strapped down, the lip is done first. They say that you are not allowed to go back with YOUR baby but you are, you just have to request it. If they say no, PLEASE go somewhere else that will let you. It will be hard to watch but my husband was IN the room and they still did more than we consented to. Now my 2 month old son has more healing and pain. Your baby will scream, they numb them but there is still pain and they don't like to be handled they way they are. Their tongue has to be clamped and I have had my tongue pierced and know that the tongue clamp is not painless. You can also smell burning flesh during the procedure. My baby was straining so hard he pooped and he was only gone for about 7 minutes. Therefore, that is why I have given a one star review, because of all the above. We didn't even want to do the lip because we didn't want to put him through more than he needed to be and there they go doing even more. Otherwise I believe everything else was okay. And I don't not recommend this place as everything else was great. They are all kind and I would be okay bringing them back if they ever needed dental treatment, just want to warn any parents choosing the route of oral tie release to be even more clear about what you're wanting done. I thought I was clear enough but somehow not. read more

I've taken 2 of my kids there and both were great experiences. My 4 year old with autism had never had dental x-rays because they couldn't handle him at our previous dentist. It was always a bad experience which is what led me to try Happy Chompers. Dr Adeel had an amazing bedside manner and he put my child at ease. He was able to do x-rays and a full cleaning. I took my daughters (4 and 6) to this dental office and it and we had such a pleasant experience. Staff is very friendly. We did exam and clean up. They got us in and out real quick. My 6 year old had horrible experience at previous dentist and that's why we had to switch. The Dr. doesn't push you to do filling and other procedures if it's not absolutely necessary. After a really bad experience with another pediatric dentist in Katy, I was thrilled to find Happy Chompers and Dr. A! My 7 year old has been terrified and had bad experiences previously and she had never gotten a full set of X-rays as a result. On our first visit, the staff was aware of her major anxiety and they were so patient and kind. They have great X-ray technology and understood her mouth was small and worked to get a full set of comfortable X-rays. The cleaning experience and time with the doctor was calm and I felt very comfortable with the entire staff. This was her first good experience in 7 years! Unfortunately, she had some dental issues that required prompt attention. The office scheduled her quickly and they took great care to explain the sedation options and we decided on the best option for her and the procedure. The doctor even called on his way home that evening to check on her. She isn't afraid of the dentist anymore and we have Happy Chompers and Dr. Adeel Khan ("Dr. A") to thank for that.
