Dr. Sui is incredible! My 15 year old daughter had a nightmare experience getting her shots for school at 9 years old. She has a severe phobia of needles and anything invasive. There were 5 nurses who held her down to get her vaccinations for school. On top of a fear of needles, now we have a fear of doctors. We went to a dentist that told us she HAD to have her baby teeth taken out, and it had to be now (she was 12). They scared her to death. She refused to go back to the dentist. I finally got her back thinking that all the baby teeth were gone. They were not. She still had one that needed to be removed. I kept trying to get it done b/c the previous dentist said she had to. Dr. Sui saw her anxiety and knew that she was petrified. He called me a few days later and told me not to. It was not worth her stress and anxiety and making her afraid of the dentist by forcing her. He said to wait. About 6 months later, my daughter expressed interest in getting braces, we finally approached the topic. She and I knew it would have to be done under sedation. After consulting with Dr. Sui, we decided on a plan that assured her that she would not receive a needle, that he would do everything he could to make her feel safe. She said yes. It WORKED!!! She went through two major procedures in three weeks, including several fillings, one incredibly deep - and the tooth extraction. He made sure that she did not go through too much, he took account of her emotions and gave her time and space to make the choice for herself. For the first time in 15 years, I can see a way for her to finish her vaccinations (we have gotten excused because of her phobia), and she is looking forward to braces/invisalign. This would not have happened without the care of Dr. Sui. I cannot recommend him higher. This was a tough situation that we waited 5 years to fix - and he did it. On the day of her second procedure - she said she was scared -- of giggling too much. She was giggly under the sedation...! It was the greatest thing I heard. Thank you, Dr. Sui! read more

Dr. Siu is simply an outstanding dentist! I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an amazing, caring and trustworthy dentist! He came highly recommended by a friend and he does not disappoint. I ended up having to have 2 root canals with crowns and was very nervous for the procedure. Dr. Siu was able to not only explain the procedure to me but also reassure me that he would take excellent care of me and my teeth and that I would be fine and not to worry. When he put my crowns in, he was so precise and accurate I could not even tell that they were crowns, they feel like my real teeth. Dr. Siu is one of the very few dentist out there that truly cares about the well being of his patients above anything else. Also, Dr. Siu is extremely gentle when handling my teeth and I do not have to worry that he will hurt them or cause pain. His office manager Denise, is such a kind, sweet person who goes out of her way to make sure I am comfortable during any exam or procedure and she is very knowledge and will happily answer any questions I have. I needed to find a new dentist due to insurance coverage and a friend had recommended Dr. John Siu. Scheduling was so easy--from the friendly person answering the phone that confirmed my insurance plan is accepted-to getting a quick and convenient appointment. I got an appointment reminder text the day before which I prefer. On the day of, the waiting time was brief and the doctor took his time and explained what he was going to do. I had been experiencing some sensitivity and found out it was due to the filling the last dentist had done. Dr. Siu explained what had happened and what could be done to fix it. I went back within the week and he fixed it. He is thorough, patient, and professional. My family has also had their appointments and were equally pleased. As someone who has experienced anxiety about dental work, I felt reassured and pretty calm so that says a lot. We will definitely be back. read more

My mom recommended that I come here and I'm SO glad she did! I had a dentist PRIOR to coming here who couldn't figure out why I was having tooth pain even after x-rays. He told me there were no cavities but he was going to do a root canal that would cost me about $2k out of pocket. Thankfully I listened to my momma and came to the Dental People for a second opinion. Dr. Siu is absolutely incredible! He's so kind and friendly and understanding and cutting edge! He thinks outside of the box and has outstanding attention to detail. Dr. Siu is literally the most amazing dentist I have ever met. I knew the first time I met Dr. Siu about 4 years ago, that he would be my dentist for as long as he was practicing. His precision and knowledge when it comes to dentistry is above all. I call him a dental artist because he takes time to make sure everything is done right and accurately, he also makes sure to not oversell or overprice on things that may not be needed. It's very hard to find a dentist that you can trust, and that you know has your best interest at heart, and that's Dr. Siu. Not to mention he has an incredible staff. She did not know at the time I had a mouthful of problems and a sad history of incompetent dentistry. Kristy's joy was palpable as she related her experience with Dr.Siu. Based on her recommendation, I nervously made my first appointment. I was not disappointed. After the first few appointments I knew I was in the hands of a very skilled dentist. Dr. Siu and his staff went above and beyond to care for my 83 yr old mom. She needed multiple extractions, and other extensive work to get implant supported dentures. After consulting MANY other dentists, Dr. Siu was the ONLY one to come up with a personalized plan for her. He worked with her until her new teeth were just right, and also worked with our budget. She was not an easy case, and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Siu and his whole staff!! We will be patients for life! I want to add-they all were so very kind and warm to my mom (and me). DR. Siu is literally the best dentist I have ever been to. He takes his job very seriously and does an excellent job at it, however he is super funny. The atmosphere of the office is very professional and enjoyable to go to. Denise is super nice and gives you as much information as you possibly need. I'm very impressed with The Dental People!!! I called on Tuesday and my daughter was given an appt for the next day. Life has been a little complicated with our move here to Texas and Layla starting private school in Mississippi. With it being her spring break, the availability of the appointment was right on time.
