I immediately felt comfortable during first visit, like part of a family and I knew my kids were safe with coaches(started 2 years ago?)Coaches are young/fun/active but still respectful and responsible. Rarely if ever do I see coaches on cell phones. Staff/coaches look out for all kids even if not a kid in their class. All coaches seem to love the kids and what they do. They are also willing to share their time/knowledge about other coaches or classes not just their own. My kids love Coach Marcus and Coach Peyton, great energy/examples for kids. I'm always entertained by these big guys (coaches) working with small/sometimes tiny kids, gentle but still teaching them how to have fun safely. Love that Coach Marcus doesn't let my older child slide, within a group of different sized kids/skills, he still knows exactly what he is capable of, challenges him and will teach him how to do something specific 1 on 1. Both Peyton and Marcus don't seem to mind/are entertained when either of my kids takes a moment to dance or be goofy in middle of class. Dakota (program manager)is always floating around the gym, helping out in a class, teaching a class or helping a kid master a skill-he singled out my oldest recently to help 1 on 1. And he has worked with my youngest son as well. BHe seems to know or is familiar with all the kids across various classes- ninja and gymnastics, calls them by name and encourages or teaches them as he walks by. All the staff truly cares about all the kids in the gym whether in their class or not. Front gals (Kaitlyn & others)are always friendly/helpful. Kayla (manager )seems to do it all- with patience and a smile. Always Amazing Energy packed music that provides me with energy too. Management must good to their staff because they all seem to love the job/kids and stay- no constant turnover like you see other places. My child had his birthday party here and we attended two birthdays here as well. Affordable, relaxed atmosphere, all the kids 7 year olds plus their younger siblings loved it! Sorry to report there is still zero consideration from the skateboarders in the common area. They throw their boards down the minute they enter from the check out area and go through the gymnastics area recklessly. I just do t understand why this can't be stopped. They have their own area. We had never heard of KTR until we purchased pogo passes and saw it included on there. It is such a fun place! The indoor trampoline park area has tons of different areas to jump and flip. My kids were exhausted by the time we finished. And the skatepark is awesome! Such a cool idea - my kids are already begging to go back. (Also - their concession stand is delish! Kid got hit with a ball atleast going 40 miles per hour and the kid was crying non stop.

Here for a birthday party. A young boy (not with our party) hit my daughter's rear and I heard her scream. Turned just in time to see him trying to punch the birthday boy. I asked him to come with me so we could find his mom and he said his parents were at home. He ran away from me and I found a "lifeguard" to tell them what happened and they said they would "watch him." I told the kids to stay away from him. About 45 minutes later a parent brings my sobbing daughter to me. The same boy had grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head down. The employees said they were looking for him because he ran away, they called his parents to come get him and he is going home. I stuck around to be sure this was being handled this time. The boy and his sisters waited for dad who showed up, picked up the boy and sent the girls back inside without a word to him, the staff or me. I did not realize this was a drop off place. Seems a little unsafe to drop kids off without any real supervision in such a large location. An employee apologized to me but the damage has been done. I will never come here again. read more

My son came here over the summer for skate lessons. We LOVED it!!! The instructors are AMAZING!! Dawson was my sons first instructor and absolutely fueled his love for skateboarding. He went above and beyond. And the birthday parties?! They're even more AMAZING!!!.... If that's possible... The staff if so helpful and courteous; the party are was decorated so nicely. Plus, unlike most birthday event food I've had, their pizza is DELICIOUS!!! We got 4 and there was nothing left. My daughter comes here for the preschool experience and her coach Amber is one of the best coaches I have ever met. The kids she teaches are 18 months - 36 months and Amber does a top noch job making sure every child is cared for, attended to, and even the parents that are there. She makes everything so much fun that I have seen a major improvement in our 20 month old daughter. The facility offers a great range of activities for kids of all ages to burn some energy off on a weekend or school break. Their "open session " includes s skateboard/bike trick area, gymnastics, and soon to be parkour and ninja warrior. Unfortunately on the night we were there that area was still under construction. When there is birthday parties going on they will use the loft so that decreases a seating area for parents. With their construction I hope they add more seating if you are not part of a party. read more

KTR has been such an awesome facility to bring my kids. My son loves the Ninja Warrior class and looks forward to it every single week. Cool place - poor management. Here for a birthday party- kids were playing a fun game of dodgeball. Adults playing Game got out of hand throwing the balls as hard as they could. Employee running game joined in the "fun" also throwing the ball as hard as possible. A small girl got hit in the face by an adult throwing like they were a MLB pitcher. The employee running the game- despite telling management- continued to throw ball as hard as possible. Would recommend management change. Safety should be number one priority and employees should enforce this not add to the danger. You are risking a lawsuit if your employee harms a child when they're supposed to moderate. read more

Went in for a trial gymnastics class appointment , only to find out that someone should of called me to say class wasn't happening today.. Very disappointing for my daughter and what was even more shocking is that "MASKS ARE OPTIONAL for kids" They were really busy and just really bummed that I didn't observe parents or kids wearing a mask inside the facility, only staff wore masks. Don't get me wrong it's a great facility with great amenities, but just didn't feel safe during a pandemic. read more

As of 12/27/17 they are heavily into renovations at this location. They should just close it until it's ready. Lots of unsafe areas. I photographed the few that were very obvious. When I told the staff at the desk she said she would tell the construction crew. Which, by the way, are walking around with electric hand tools while the kids are playing. It was so unsafe we just left. Maybe that is why they are charging only $11 for two hours. There is also construction dust all over everything. I know it's a gym and they use that chalk, that is not what was all over everything. Save your money and go back when they are done renovating. I'm sorry but caution tape will not stop a kid from falling into exposed particle board. I know that kids need to learn to be careful but I think having particle board sharp corner edges on the side of a slide is just pushing your luck. read more

I've been bringing my son here to do Parkour for about a year, and he and I both love it. The people running it are some of the best, and the atmosphere is friendly, active, and professional. Wifi is free, and Fridays, when my son is parkouring, I get lots of work done. Earlier this summer, KTR upgraded the main floor area with a super bouncy, blue pad that allows kids to try out some more radical tricks without getting hurt. It also makes for a great dodge ball arena. read more

Apparently They tried to open facilities for food but don't meet health code. not sure how the heck that can happen today's day and age. Sound like terrible contractors. My kids practically live at KTR. When the AZ sun is blazing hot this is the place to take your kids so they can be physically active.

We have been here a few times now and really have a good time every time. Me and the bf took up skate boarding and we have tried a few skate parks out but this is by far our favorite! Everyone is really nice here and its nice because you have all age groups skating and everyone is always offering tips to try to help you out. This is a good place if you are just starting out or even if you are advanced. It's an actual skateboard school so you can take classes or skate during their free skate hours for 10-15 for about three hours. Huge indoor skate park which is great all year around :) Very cool place ! read more

I brought my daughter here for a trial class. We have enrolled her in sports (karate and rock climbing) to help her work through her fears. She's done so well over the summer that we thought we would look into parkour as the next step. I was very disappointed that when she hit a challenge the 'coach/trainer' just stood there. I don't know if he said anything but he certainly didn't engage and encourage her. Had to wait way to long inline after already buying the passes online and the waivers! Paid for 4 hours now getting less then 3.5 hours. For a Saturday they should have more then one person at the desk to check in. While other workers are just standing around even talked to the manager that didn't seem to care or be helpful. I just have to give a big shout out to the staff at KTR Mesa. During this uncertain time, I am impressed by your vigilance in trying to keep our kids safe and healthy. My grandson came out tonight to tell me he has never seen the place so clean. (he is there ALL the time) he was required to use hand sanitizer on his way in, was reminded often to wash his hands during the hours he was there, and was told to use the hand sanitizer on his way out. My boys ages 7 and 9 have spent a total of 12 hours over two weekends here. One lives for skateboarding and one loves the gymnastics section. The staff play games with them throughout the session. That being said, the staff is not there to be babysitters, but they are around with a watchful eye. My one and only concern about this place is a lack of front door security. Nothing stops the kids from coming and going from the facility or someone from coming in and taking the kids away from the facility. The doors are very much open to the general public. This is only slightly troublesome and obviously doesn't keep us from dropping them off there. But it would be cool to see something implemented to keep both of those things from happening! read more

This place is so awesome! A great way for kids to burn off energy and get more confident safely using their bodies! My 7 and 9 year old boys took the Free Running class, and David was so awesome working with us. We were only staying in the area temporarily and he helped us register for the classes we needed. We had one class that the teacher (who was usually great) was on his phone a lot and not really interacting with the kids as much as usual, but it was addressed well. We will definitely return for open play when we are in the area! And I would highly recommend the Free Running class! read more

This place is horrible! Made the mistake of thinking this was just like ktr chandler or any other jump park, it's a joke! Kids can't jump together only one kid can jump at a time. The parent waiver is WAY to long no one wants to spend that much time basically filling out a questionnaire. We absolutely LOVE the Chandler location, however, the Mesa location could use some work! The under 6 area should not be open until it is fixed and the hazards are removed! These are the pictures of the area my four year old was forced to play in for two hours since he wasn't allowed in the older kid area! My 8 year old daughter loves the skateboard classes here! She's had a couple of different teachers so far and they all are very knowledgable and seem to enjoy what they're doing, which gets passed on to their students. Rich, who manages the skatepark is just plain awesome with the kids, and Jane, the general manager goes out of her way to make sure everyone's happy and everything goes as expected. Beware: this is nothing like KTR Chandler. Purchased a Groupon for this location in Mesa. It is a total dive! The smell hit us at the door, the cashier is behind class with a sign about not being reaponsilble for stolen stuff. It is a rough neighborhood. As i left without even using the groupon some man was trying to break into my vehicle!! I had four kids with me so We left soo fast!! We went to the Chandler KTR instead. This place is a joke so old and smelly we felt unsafe. Depressing atmosphere. Buyer beware Groupon would not refund the voucher or let me exchange it. Ktr is a fun way to spend my breaks and weekends with friends. It's fun to do tricks and make friends while occasionally stopping by the cafe to get a snack. The one thing is that if you pay for an open gym session from 4-6 on a weekday, you won't be able to play everywhere and sometimes the classes take up the only spaces we are actually allowed to play in. It kinda wastes your money if you go at those times, but any other time or day you go it's awesome and worth it. Ive been going to ktr since I was 6 and am now 12, I love it and I highly recommend. read more
