I typically love Kidd Valley but this location isn't my favorite. Unfortunately I ordered online and didn't receive the correct burger when it was delivery. To top it off, I found a purple hair in my burger & when I went in to receive a refund it was clear who the purple hair belonged to. As a cook at any restaurant I would expect a clean appearance and your hair to be pulled back and up appropriately and it was NOT in any way a clean appearance. We decided we would try this spot out for lunch and we all were more than happy we did! The portions are very big! We had sweet potato fries, reg fries, fried mushrooms and the bacon cheese burger. Everything's was great! We ordered a mini cheese burger lets just say it the size of reg fast food burger from say McDonald's! The reg burger size was huge! This place makes great burgers. Especially if you like the mushroom burger. It is what it is as far as the decor everything is yellow or brown at least you get somewhere to sit and it is clean. The service has been a little hit or miss. The last time I went the guy was super nice but he was just filthy. It looked like he had been wearing the same shirt for a few days and his apron was all stained. He was very friendly and the order was made correctly I guees it is just hard work running the register and the kitchen at the same time. Tottaly forgiveable. I would go out of my way for the food here and do that on occasion. I like that it is not cheese burger centric. A lot of burger joints think that you must put cheese on every sandwich. Then you have to ask them to hold the cheese and they don't get it right. This place has never messed up my special order and many of the sandwichs do not have cheese on them in in the first place. I found that this was a more classic and humble approach to Hamburg I am a dairy free yelper and this place gets two slaps and a thumbs up. read more

The food is good as always, but the crew at this location is pretty lackadaisical. EXAMPLE: 2 times out of 3 when I've called in an order, the phone rings a dozen times and then I get a fax machine type squeal. I mentioned this to the girl at the counter tonight. I've been eating at Kidd Valley since I discovered them in my early teens, and I've never been disappointed. The burgers are incredibly yummy and are made right as you order. The french fries are light and fluffy with just the right amount of crisp in the bite. The staff are very considerate to big/complicated orders, and very friendly to every customer. Thank you Kidd Valley for being such a consistent being in my life! This location is now closer to where I am in Seattle area usually, so recently this has been the location I've gone to most. Each restaurant has a slightly different feel and this one is a bit more homely. More people bring the food home here than other locations I've been to. This is the review I'm giving all the Kidd Valleys: Not much seating (as with most Kidd Valley locations), but the food is delicious. I've since moved away from the Seattle area, but I crave their bacon cheeseburgers / boysenberry shakes ALL the time. Luckily, my brother still lives in the area so when I visit, we always hit up Kidd Valley. They may have traded in their old school logos and feel for a new retro look, but you can always count on them for great burgers. read more

For fast food, this is the bees knees. They have rad veggie burgers that always leave me happy and full. The portion sizes are huge and inexpensive, also! The only time I've ever been able to eat 1 burger and my half of the garlic fries was when I was pregnant. That's saying a lot. I mean, it's a little more expensive than regular fast food joints but the few dollars are worth it. It's a friendly, quick, hassle-free experience. Ive been coming here since the had an offensive logo! The generous servings, great food and shakes hasn't changed at all. Love the mushrooms and the garlic fries are HUGE! Enough to share (which you will need cuz your breathe will reek!) Mostly though I wanted to commend the young man cooking. When I came in the counter girl was overwhelmed and having issues with customer in front of me. It was time consuming. While one team member worked with her, the young man (Ian? glasses) stepped in, greeted us, smiled, asked about our order and started it. When the situation in front of us in line was resolved, our order was already completed and he turned an annoyed impatient customer to a happy one. What a fantastically terrible experience that was. Arrived at 630 and got my order in very quickly (which was the absolute best and only good thing that happened). Proceeded to wait for 30 minutes for my name to be called. Repeated back my name to make sure the bag was mine, which it was, and drove home. Upon arriving I checked the bag and saw that I had been given the wrong order. Bummer. Luckily I'm less then five minutes away so drove back and was given the correct bag. After getting home I opened up my foil to get my burger out and the bun literally disintegrated. Impossible to eat the sandwich. I moved on to the garlic fries hoping to salvage what was left. Sadly they were a clump of undercooked soft garlic fries that were also inedible. The wife was happy with her garden burger so at least she was happy. I enjoy kidd valley bacon cheese burgers. They are juicy giant size burgers that are always fresh. The wait time is longer to enjoy them, but i prefer the taste of them and accepted the time it takes for the cooks to prepare them for me. I do enjoy the kidd valley near wedgewood the most, since that was my first kidd valley i ever went to and recently stopped by there and could be a bias thing but i thought the burgers served there was just a tad better than here in bothell. Usually a nice place, however last night came in and the woman behind the counter looked extremely unhappy with life in general especially while taking my order. Half way through she interrupted my order to yell and punch the register took a sec while huffing and puffing to her self, looked up and with mono tone " is that all?!" Errr I shouldve walked out... So we make it home to find my wife's bacon burger had been charbroiled to a crisp yet the middle still basically raw. My burger dip was some how soggy (its just meat cheese and bread how is it soggy?!) Regardless we already paid and got all the way home no sense in waiting food and money. Love Kidd Valley! It's a fast food paradise; they do these fried mushroom buttons, which are little hot bites of goodness. I'm not a mushroom fan but these taste great! They also have thick cool creamy milkshakes made with real ice cream and have a great variety of flavors like Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Banana, Coffee, Root Beer, Boysenberry and they do malts too! we stopped at Kid Valley last night after Midsomar.... and i was going to have a Fish Sandwich which used to be really good. we changed our minds and had Fish and Chip instead.... it was very disappointing. the fries were good.. but we asked for an extra piece of fish so we could split it between the 2 of us. the pieces were very small and they charged us $ 15.00 for 1 Fish and Chip and a medium boysonberry shake. the Fish tasted very good but i think the size of the pieces was pitiful. the services was good. read more

Kidd Valley is one of the best burger places in the Seattle are! I've been buying Burgers from them for years! I think when I started there was only 1 in the University area. I always get their Mushroom & Cheese burger with fries and a strawberrry shake and it's usually excellent! Ok...now for the reason I gave them 5 stars!. Last week I went in and got my usual, and I found the burger wasn't great! But; it was good enough...so I ate it. They also give you a piece of paper with an online survey address on it. You fill it out and you can get a free fries or shake. So, I did that, and mentioned that it wasn't great. Well, the next day the manager called and he profusely apologized! He also said he's send me an email for a free burger and told me that when i came in to ask for him (Mark Brown) and he'd apologize personally. I haven't taken him up on the free burger yet...but; I willl soon! This is what makes a great restaurant, hence 5 stars! We all make mistakes and the true test of greatness to me is in a business's resolve and ability to correct them and take the opportunity to improve its operations. Tonite I ordered dinner to go from the Kenmore Kidd Valley. We probably eat there every few months and while the food is on the high end of the cost spectrum for fast food burger fare, it's consistently fresh and tasty. I received the usual courteous and prompt service and waited only about 5 minutes for my order. Two of us were really looking forward to enjoying our chicken club sandwiches but we found plain chicken sandwiches (no bacon!) in the bag once we got home. I called to vent my disappointment (while we all got busy with our food), hoping to receive a refund for the difference in price. Figured it would make us all feel better. Instead, the counter worker who answered conferred with the manager, who immediately looked up the order, apologized for their error and offered me a replacement meal and price adjustment. I went from feeling like I might want to switch to another KV in the future to swooning from such an exceptional response. No defensiveness, no excuses; just an effort to make things right. I'm not even done yet-- just as quickly as I hung up the phone, Jody the manager called again to personally apologize for their mistake and confirm that she had already credited my VISA. I go here from time to time. It's a great way to get your fast food kick without the help of McDonalds or Jack in the Box. The food is fresh. I have recently become aware they batter their own fish. They also batter their own onion rings (yummy!). The service is quick and they do a good job. They keep their restaurant clean.
