Kid to Kid has a wonderful selection of secondhand clothing, shoes, and toys for children. Service was friendly and helpful. I did notice a small stain on one shirt right after my items had been rung up; the cashier promptly accepted it back as a return and issued me store credit (they do not offer cash refunds). I have been coming here for years and this last time they sold me a defective bike that couldn't pump at all. I initially purchased it for my granddaughters birthday b/c that's what she wanted. However, the back tire wouldn't pump so I took it back to the store to get a refund so I can purchase a bike that actually is functional. We'll they refused to refund and wanted to offer me a store credit. They failed to test bike when they bought it and the failed to test it when they sold it me. Like the majority of these consignment stores, they lowball you but the only reason I sell stuff here is because whatever they dont buy is "donated". I put donated in quotes because im sure they sell some of the "donations". As far as items for sale, the items arent too bad and they're well organized and dont look dingy unlike other places. They do take forever to review your buys which is frustrating and i have no choice but to wait because im not trying to deal with the mall traffic by leaving then coming back. You also lose your spot in line if you leave and if they call you, you have to get there before they close at 7. read more

They don't take many items if you bring in a plastic tub or more at a time, and you definitely don't get much for them, but if you're going to shop there, you get a little more in store credit than you do for cash pay-out, typically 20% more. You can often find some good buys when shopping there, especially the kids' clothing. Used hot wheels are a good buy. They have never had much of a selection in maternity clothes, and they won't take my barely used maternity clothing either, which seems odd since they have very little in the way of selection. Nonetheless, it can be a good place to find gently used kids' clothes and shoes. read more

BIGGEST WASTE OF TIME. I have been here twice, both times were such a waste of my time. Both times they didn't buy much at all. & honestly the prices in the store are almost the same as if you bought the clothes new in a box store. Customer service I have to be honest was one of the biggest flaws, they weren't friendly, & as a mom, with bringing items to be purchased & kids in tow you would think with so many ladies standing around someone would offer to hold the door open for you. I have always love Kid to Kid and used this particular store for 3 years, but the staff is getting less and less friendly, the racks are becoming more and more unorganized, and the clothing is becoming a lesser quality. The staff at this location has never been overwhelmingly friendly or helpful, like they are at some of the other locations, but today's visit all 6 visible employees were too busy doing busy work or talking behind the counter to speak to me other than the mandatory "Welcome to Kid to Kid". I was in search of boy pants, size 5. In the half rack of what was marked as boys pants size 5, I found 4 actual pair of boy 5s, 7 pairs of boy 2T, 5 pairs of boy 3T, 3 random pair of girls pants (varying sizes), 3 pairs of boy size 6 (that I went ahead and put on the correct rack behind me), then a variety of shirts and sweaters (mixed between pants in the "pants rack"). So of the 4 pair of boy pants size 5 I was able to find, I had to put one back because of a hole that should have been caught by the staff and not bought to put on the store floor in the first place. Last time I was in here I was buying clothes for twin 8 month old boys and I had to put about every 4th outfit back because of a stain or hole that should have been caught and not even put on the racks. I've used this store for years because I am a foster mom. Kids come in and out of my house. 7 kids in just the last year. And in just this last year, I've seen a decline in K2K Buford. When I first began buying, I didn't ever worry about checking the clothing twice for stains, tears, missing buttons, or holes. Now I don't leave the store without checking every piece of clothing completely. I'm disappointed. read more

WORST store EVER!!!! I brought stuff in right when they opened. I only had 2 totes. I was the 2nd person bringing stuff in. The 1st person was done in 20 min. I've now been waiting 2 hours and they're STILL not done. I waited in store for an hour and then had to run to an appt. I came back an hour later and they're not done. Absolutely freaking ridiculous!!!! I didn't even have that much. They are SUPER SUPER slow. If u want to sell ur kids clothes, I'd go anywhere else but here, unless u have half a day to piss away. read more

Never been before to this store, but since I had been to Uptown Cheapskate, (sister store), earlier that day, and was super pleased with Stephanie and Dani, I gave it a shot. I had had a bad experience (at an unrelated consignment shop in the past), and as a result, I was hesitant to try. First off, the store Mgr told me I had to lift my mask up completely on my nose and then proceeded to tell me they don't go through garbage bags. She repeated it again and I asked... who has a garbage bag? Then she looked over the counter to see that I had a cloth bag of clothes. She didn't apologize, but merely said,..."oh, I thought it was a white garbage bag, we get them all day long." Anyway, wasn't a fan, not to mention, they offered me almost nothing for 9 items. No issues on how many of my items they chose, but I would have appreciated them showing me WHICH items they were willing to buy, since they do it all hidden behind the counters. (Anyway, that is my bad for not insisting on seeing which ones and having them clarify their offer.) So then, I went to Plato's Closet and had much better luck there and a better ROI. Not sure where else to go to sell young kids clothing, but go to Uptown Cheapskate or Plato's Coset to sell your young adult clothes. P.S. Sometimes I won't find a specific thing that I'm searching for, but that's understandable for a used clothing store. I've been a customer for several years, I gave this 4 stars because the prices Ive notice keep going up every year it seems. Ive also noticed they are not taking in as many items for "buys" as they use to. There definitely is a lot more soiled name brand clothing selling for more than if I were to buy it rand new at a Marshall's or Ross. I still shop here because I do find some deals now and then and I like how it's organized. I also like the large variety of non clothing items like cribs, changing tables, and other essentials sold here for a reasonable price. read more

Not worth the time or effort. Like previous reviewers have stated, some of the workers are rude. As their website states, I expected to be able to drop off my items and come back a bit later after I checked in. The workers told me I couldn't leave until they "pre-sorted" my items which would take approximately 10-15 minutes. The lady even commented, "You have to stay, especially since we're just buying from you." That turned into 30 minutes and caused me to be late to a scheduled appointment. Once the girl gave me permission to leave, not even five minutes later I received a call with their payment offer. I had my one year old daughter with me and not one worker offered to hold the door, help, or roll the cart out for me. The store was not busy either. The payment I received for my items was not worth the trouble. I will now sell somewhere else or donate to a charity. read more

First of all, I live 45 mins away. I drove up several months ago on a Sunday after looking online at the store hours and seeing it showed store was open, get there and store is closed Sundays. I packed up everything yesterday only to get to the store and find a sign on the store that they were not buying today. On a random Friday afternoon. So since our Saturday am soccer practice is semi close, we decided to try again today. Every staff member was the least bit helpful and actually very rude to me as if I was an inconvenience to them by trying to sell some of my babies things. I hadn't been there before, had no idea how it worked of course and when I asked I was talked to like I was stupid. I dropped the stuff off and asked how I would know when they were done, she said I'd receive a text but needed to pick up by 7p. So my husband, toddler and I go bum around the area. We dropped off around 10:30a. It's now 1pm and nap time and no text so we head home because there was no way we would make it till 7pm. Waited all day for a text, nothing, it's now 5pm, so I call and just ask the status. Lady on the phone says over me talking "well you should have received a text" I just say "well I didn't receive one at all so that's why I just wanted to call before I made the trip back out there". (Mind you my number is correct, I used it to sign in, and when I checked out with the things I purchased today) I get there to pick up and again everyone very unfriendly, I actually looked around before going to pick up my things because there was a few people in line and not really a place to stand with out hovering over someone else and found a few things I wanted to buy. Walk to the counter where I dropped off the items I was selling and told rudely I needed to go around the corner, ok cool but there is no sign saying that's where I needed to be...get around the corner....she shows me my offer...I asked if you could buy things and then get the remaining in cash (basically trading) because once again no one explained how this process works to me at all and I just ask a simple question and I get a very rude "nope, you can't you get one or the other" meaning store credit or cash. Ok fine. Glad I chose cash because needless to say I'll never be back nor recommend kid to kid to anyone. Glad we now have a once upon a child closer to me, I'll take my business there forsure, it's small and cramped in there but at least they are friendly!!! read more

I've been selling and shopping at Kid To Kid for years. The racks can sometimes be disorganized, but I find that at regular retail shops, as well, and I do see staff working to straighten them all the time. I've never been dissatisfied with my offer. Sure, I could make more selling it on my own, but all the hassle? Pictures, posting, meeting up with people who don't show? No, thanks. I'll take a lesser amount in cash anytime, or I get store credit if I need stuff. The staff is almost always friendly. I LOVE all the new stuff they've been carrying lately. I used Kid To Kid for the first time with my summer and winter outgrown clothing for my little girl. I chose the shop (instead of my usual) because we have moved and the location was closer to my home. Another advantage is that they take clothing that is not in season which makes it easier if you have leftover clothes that were outgrown last year. My name brand clothing is always in immaculate condition and includes hairbows and socks to match. I always check closely for any stains or tears. However, I seldom have those issues because as the baby (my closest other child is 19) I usually purchase way too much clothing for her and she seldom wears an outfit more than a couple times. One major difference between Kid to Kid and the other consignment shop is that they really don't give you a choice as to whether you want to sell at the price they offer. The check was already cut and my clothes were already being placed on the racks when I returned. The price they offered was approximately one-third of the amount I was used to getting from Sweet Repeats. For three large laundry baskets full of name brand clothing they gave me barely over $100.00. I truly wish I had donated the clothing to charity. That is the last time I will either shop or sell at Kid to Kid. It was a simply a waste of my time and effort and at their prices I much would have rather donated my daughter's clothes to a little girl who needed them. I will either donate to charity or go back to the shop I have used for years. Their pricing (both purchasing and selling) is a JOKE. read more

I heard it was good place to shop for used baby clothes and other stuff but the "fragrance" in the store was so floral and strong that it kicked me into an asthma attack. I was really impressed with this store! I'm new to living in GA and had never heard of this store, but randomly came across it on Facebook. I looked it up and decided to check it out since I love shopping at Once Upon A Child. This store is very well organized. It's not stressful to look through the toys and shoes like it is OUAC, because everything is nicely displayed on shelves and not thrown in bins. I also loved that they had a used maternity clothes section. I'm 6 months pregnant and found a lot of really cute maternity dresses and shirts for really good deals! I did think some items were overpriced for the condition they were in, but I also found a ton of really good deals and cute clothes for my son, daughter and myself. I bought a lot more than I expected to even find. The staff was really friendly and helpful. There's only one reason why I did not give this store 5 stars. I had looked up the store on Yelp before shopping there to read the reviews and noticed their offer on the page. The offer is that for the first time you check in on the Yelp app, you get $7 off of a $35 purchase. I spent more than that and had expected to use the offer. When I showed the worker, she said in the fine print that it had expired 4 years prior in 2014. I'm disappointed that the offer was still available on the page but that it was that old and couldn't be honored. I hope that someone can get it taken down so that no one else expects they'll be able to use it too.
