I love kids to kids at Buford. I have visited many others but they do not have the selection like here. They do have an amazing selection but I feel like I am almost insulted by the things they turn away that I bring in. My daughter just turned one and has hardly worn some things that are not picked because they are "not in style anymore" I feel like if I had someone else sorting things it would be a different amount. I have made purchases and consigned with Kid to Kid Buford. I have been disappointed. They pay very little, insultingly little, for your items, even for high quality popular brands. I tried to sell with them a second time thinking maybe the first was a fluke, but again very insulting offer. The second time I said no thank you. With making purchases I have found the prices to be a little high, although I have on occasion found good buys there. I have also found holes in clothing there, with my last purchase not until I got home and took the tags off. Overall, I am not impressed. read more

I love to shop here, but I would not sell with them. In the past, I've tried to sell brand new baby clothes and they wouldn't take them. The explanation I got was that baby boy items don't sell as well. Recently, I brought in a pair of brand new Timberland boots with the receipt and still in the box. They took this and a couple of items of clothing and offered me less than $10. I could have done better selling on a yard sale. On the other hand, I tend to find a lot of good deals on things during their semi-annual sales, so I will definitely continue to shop here. read more

If I could give 0 stars I totally would. My sister recently just had a baby and unfortunately she was given WAY too many baby clothes. I traveled from Atlanta to help her organize the clothes, made sure it was "Kid to Kid" friendly with the rules. We brought in a large laundry basket full of baby clothes..most with tags, shoes..most with tags as well, socks, baby bottles STILL IN THE PACKAGING, the list goes on. We signed in and waited patiently for them to check the many items that we brought in. A little over 20 minutes we were called back to the counter with literally, no joke, 10 items laid out on the counter out of 120+ items. The lady said she would give us $15 for the lot. We were a little confused that they did not want to buy the New bottles, New shoes, or ANY of the items that were brand new. The young lady working the counter claimed that the clothes were out of date? Actually, they were bought in July, so I am not sure how that makes sense. Anyways, we were just going to count our losses, take the money and leave. BUT, what happened next leaves me to believe this place is totally SCAMMING people. They never offered to give back HER laundry basket filled with all the clothes they wouldn't accept, tagged it with a pink tag and stuck it on there shelf, along with a bouncer they didn't want to purchase from us? How does that make sense? No, you may not keep the items you didn't want to buy from us. I asked the lady, "what are you going to do with those items?" She claimed they were going to donate them. Thanks but no thanks I said. What kind of business are you running here? Not offering OUR laundry basket back that we use at home...trying to keep all the misc items and "donate" them?? Sounds like a HUGE scam to me. Seems like they prey on the weak that need a few extra dollars. The shame is we loved shopping here and I even had numerous items in hand waiting to buy after they made the swap, but put them all back on the shelves and left. You don't deserve my business. If your looking for inexpensive used clothing for your child this is not the place. I think they forgot its USED. I thought the over pricing was maybe bc they pay good for there stuff. Wrong again. I felt better donating my stuff to a charitable cause. Dont waist your time here... And to top it off there staff have better than you attitudes. read more

This is not the first time I have left the store feeling very disappointed and incredibly frustrated. I brought in a play pen in excellent t condition, a like new Moby wrap still in bag, and over 20 outfits freshly laundered with little to no stains. They took the play pen and 3 outfits and offered me $20 cash and said the rest had too many stains or signs of wear. I was not insulted I was in disbelief because I had spent over 30 min. picking through clothes on the racks that either had stains holes or smelled like smoke. Also I was informed that the playpen retailed for $90 they could sell for $40 but could only give me $20. Also, the many times I have been in there the customer service and general attitudes make me wonder why I keep going in there. You can tell the quality of a business by the way they handle problems. I purchased skates for my daughter back in oct and gave them to her for Christmas, it wasn't until then that I realized that they were missing the needed buckles. Today I tried to resell a few boxes of gently used infant and toddler girl clothing, plus some kids toys. For one I arrived at the store to resell at 3:00 p.m. and was second on the list. The clerk stated that although they were busy come back in 2 hours and my stuff should be done. I said that was fine. I called 3 hours later they were just starting and I was a little confused. I drove back to the store to find that no one seem to be working on anything or acknowledged me when I walked in the store. After being in the store 15 mins. I approached the counter and asked the 3 talking girls about my stuff. They said they tried to call me but my cell and home phone weren't working. Does that make sense! They had rejected all my stuff. I was totally ticked off and wanted to know why. Their excuse was that it was old and looked wore and dirty. They wouldn't take the 2009 Graco baby swing, Boppy, or Fisher Price Play Door. They claimed that they were dirty after I explain that my daughter drew on them with a pen in the car. And that they had too much girls stuff and they weren't excepting anymore seasons girl clothes. I told the girl how is that so, I called yesterday, and that morning and you didn't say that. In the end the offered me $21 for my stuff they would take. You tell me is this the kind of place you want to do business with? What a rip off! read more

I have only shopped here but I have to say lately it's been disappointing to say the least. It's so time consuming weeding through clothes that are pilling or have hole and stains. I was shocked at how many pieces they were trying to sell that even Goodwill wouldn't have tried selling . They need to be more selective when buying clothing from people. read more

I love this place! I agree that there are some very pricey items due to the fact that certain name brands such as Hartstrings, Ralph Lauren, and Bonnie Jean are going to be more costly. Still, if you wait long enough they will be reduced. That's when the savings take place. I visit bi-weekly to check for sales. I usually leave with 1-3 outfits that cost $1-$4 each. Some items are brand new with the tags still attached! My little girl looks expensively dressed for pennies on the dollars. This really helps us build her college fund. Also, the employees are nice and will help you find things when you have a restless toddler. For example, I bought a dress for $3.99 and found the matching bloomers two weeks later. I mentioned this to the cashier and she simply said I could take it to complete my little girl's outfit without charging me. This type of fairness is truly appreciated and a reason I continually shop here. read more

This is one of the best places to buy kids clothes. I've shopped other resale stores and found this one to have the best prices and cleanest and neatest clothes for boys and girls. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is excellent. I especially like being able to purchase new merchandise as well in the same store. First off let me say that I live 30 minutes from this store (the closest one to my house in Gainesville) and I tried to call them before I came to their store with all of the stuff I was needing to sell, and they would not answer the phone. When we got there we brought everything in (5 large diaper boxes (the kind that holds over 200 diapers) FULL running over of clothes) and they said "Give us about 30 minutes or so to look through everything and we will call you when we get done." I told them ok, and we started walking around waiting for them to call my name. I had a very cranky 10 month old with me and finally after an hour and a half of waiting for them to call me, I went up there and they said "Oh we wont accept any of this because it's not the sizes we need." I was FURIOUS! She was so rude!!!! They made me wait for an hour and a half and didn't tell me til I went up there to them! I will NEVER EVER go back to their store again. They also say they accept only clothes and things with no stains rips or tears. Well that's obviously not true because I have bought things before (a sleeper and a shopping cart cover) that both had holes in them that I didn't notice til I got home. And today when I was in the store they had a couple of pairs of shoes that looked like they had been drug through the mud puddles and a dress with a tutu that the tutu was ripped on the front. They were selling these items. This isn't the first time they have done this to me about buying things. I guess my stuff that has no stains holes or anything in them isn't good enough for their store. I thought I would give them a 2nd chance and this experience was worse than the first time. We went down the street to Once Upon A Child and they bought some of our things for a lot of money ($57 dollars worth for a box) AND gave us 10% off on our purchase today since we sold to them! I will only be dealing with them from now on. I will NEVER go back to another Kid To Kid store and I will tell all of my family and friends not to go there as well. Buying here is great because of the prices, but selling is almost impossible. I only try to sell clothes that are in excellent condition: no stains, no missing buttons, no holes, etc. but I almost always leave with what I brought. Other stores are less particular than this location. The staff used to be very nice, but not anymore. The girl I had the displeasure of dealing with yesterday was unfriendly, had a major attitude, wasn't very knowledgeable, and made it obvious she wasn't the least bit interested in trying to help me. After my recent experiences I've decided to take my business elsewhere. I'd rather drive out of my way to Cumming than be frustrated by these people again. read more
