Not only did they have multiple, but it also tasted delicious! Coffee was good, not my favorite, but tasted real! Staff helped me pick out something fun and was grateful for the recommendation. I ordered the Horchata iced with oat milk, while my sister ordered the Dirty Chai iced with oat milk. Both of our drinks were delicious, I actually enjoyed hers more than mine. Kickstart Cafe is a lovely little corner cafe with a local hometown feel. The staff are very friendly and happy to answer questions. There are plenty of non-dairy options available. We sat at the corner table near the window which was nice and sunny. There's also a counter that you can sit at. It was nice to see people doing the daily crossword and reading the newspaper while chatting with neighbors and the workers behind the counter. Super cute cafe. It's situated on a busy road on the corner. Use the parking lot off to the back for the best way to access it. Inside, it's very small. They have tables and chairs along the bar, but they fill up very fast. The food was simple, but super flavorful. They had specials on coffees that I wish I tried. I discovered this gem on a day trip exploring CT towns by train. I ordered the tofu scramble, which came with avocado toast, a side of home fries and a side of bacon. I cleaned the plate. Hot black coffee was perfect. It's a small spot, with a great staff that is attentive, personable, and professional. I was solo and sat at the counter and talked with other diners. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could! Stopped in with my pup this morning for a pre-hike fuel up. A couple team members were really excited to say hi to my dog, and that makes us pet parents feel so welcome :) I was shocked to see how many vegan options they had and at an incredibly reasonable price point!! The barista was so patient while I tried to make up my mind and offered recommendations! I wound up getting a chai latte with soy milk and the vegan breakfast sandwich with sausage. Both were DELICIOUS. The sandwich came out so quickly and if the latte weren't so nice and hot, I would've chugged it. Kickstart Cafe is located in downtown Shelton and is a newly restaurant. It has been in the downtown area for over a year. No more than two years I believe. It is a nice little cafe with staff that are very friendly and pleasant. I wanted something healthy and I wanted an omelette but I didn't fell like cooking. I ordered the Omelette with Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Cheese, and Spinach. The Omelette was very delicious and the vegetables were really fresh. The vegetables had a great bite and the omelette was cooked perfectly. What I loved about it was the omelette and a bottle of water was only 8.00 which I wasn't expecting because food prices went up. The cafe was clean and organized and I think it's a great edition to the downtown area. I will definitely be back to try more of the breakfast menu and there lunch sandwiches. read more

What a wonderful addition to Shelton! Went here around lunchtime on a Sunday for some pick me up drinks. I myself, got a Iced Matcha Latte while my wife got a Mocha Joe iced latte. I couldn't but help notice some of the sandwiches and wraps people were eating, definitely caught my eye and I will have to check those out next. The Iced Matcha latte was perfect. I get mine with oat milk and a splash of honey. Very nicely sized portion for a large, fairly priced as well. Definitely enjoyed my drink, they do it just as good if not better than most coffee shops. My wife got the Mocha Joe which had some expresso, milk, and hot cocoa. She enjoyed her drink but did note she wished it featured more expresso as it leaned a little on the cocoa side, still she enjoyed her drink. They have a counter seating inside similar to a diner and a couple of tables near the window. I'm addition they have two tables outside which is a nice add during a beautiful day. Wow! This place is so delicious We started off with both types of Mochas. One is a latte and the other one is called "Mocha Joe". The latte is milky with a hint of chocolate whereas the joe is richer with chocolate. Both are WONDERFUL. Got my usual SEC. The sandwich was so flavorful. I don't know what they put on that brioche bun but it tastes buttery and almost with a hint of garlic. Dude. 5 stars all day long without a doubt. It may have even beaten out my local cafe where I live. Total price for 2 mochas, SEC (double egg) and avocado toast with the chipotle drizzle was $22. Totally fair. Obsessed with this adorable spot in downtown Shelton! I talked to the owner who was so nice, and they're super dog friendly so seeing all of the pups really brightened my day. It's one of those spots where almost everyone is a regular and they all know each other, so it felt very community oriented! The coffee and food are great and affordable, yes--but the reason I keep coming back is because it's the best service experience I've received anywhere. This café should probably be formally studied in terms of standards of care and attention, and just having a sense for hiring quality people. Really didn't like my drink! It was something mocha Joe and literally tasted like chocolate milk. Not a hint of espresso at all. I also noticed they use Aldi milk, not anything against Aldi but if your paying over $6 for a drink I'd d think the quality of the ingredients would be a little better. That mixed with chocolate milk and espresso made a really awful drink that I couldn't get through and tasted so off. I did not like their matcha drink that I had either. No other drinks on their menu seemed tasty or interesting. I hope to come back and try the food instead and update my review then. read more

This cafe was so cute. The people working here are insanely nice, and they have such a large menu of goodies you can choose from. They have creative drink specials and also reliable staples. I loved that they sell these tiny little mini muffins that are labeled as jumbo muffins. Just because of that, I had to get one (just $1). They don't skimp on the cream cheese, nor do they add an overwhelming amount of it! It's a tough balance to find lol! The chai was delicious and unique, I loved the flavor profile. The employees here are so extremely friendly and the service was great! It's the perfect environment for running in to grab a quick bite, or taking a seat and opening your laptop or a good book. Adorable and quaint little coffee shop in downtown Shelton. They offer a variety of lattes, teas, smoothies, bites, and amazing baked treats. When we were there the owner told us her mother in law does the baking. We got some delicious peanut butter chocolate chip cookies that were gluten free and really enjoyed them!
